Combining Data From Multiple TableAdapter Queries?

I am trying to fill a temporary table with one column( a code) with the unique results of three queries of their respective table adapters.I can't figure out how to do it from here.The database is Access 2007 and I have activated the appropriate dataset on the form from which this code executes. The table adapters are part of that dataset.I could try to use the recordset approach, but that means making another connection to the same database.Is that a preferable approach?My purpose in doing this is to build a VB process like the one that works in a VBA Module of this Accessdatabase, partly to help me learn VB2008 and partly to overcome the necessity to keep updating queries used by the module.Code below

Let's say I have 3 tables: carts, baskets and eggs where a basket can contain many eggs and where carts contain many baskets. Each basket has a foreign key that maps to a cart and each egg has a foreign key that maps to a basket.I need to return a table that contains these 3 columns:Cart Name | Count of Baskets in Cart | Count of Eggs in Cart.Each table is an EF and I'm using linq with VB.So far, I have 2 queries: one that returns the columns Cart Name and Count of Basket and another one that returns Cart Name and Count of Eggs. How can I combine these two result tables so that I get the results in one table?

I am combining data from multiple tables into one table for a presentation software. I am doing a select statement and running a loop. Inside that loop I have multiple selects and I build a datatable an enter the data into the main table. There is a ton of records and it takes forever.

I originally developed a simple application software [VB.Net + MS Access] (Lets call this project A) but now I want to include more functionality in it. I have an encryption/ decryption software utility (Lets call this project B ) and a Text to speech generation utility(Lets call this project C) . That is, I want to add Projects B and C to project A. [Such that clicking on the main form of project A calls a form from project B or C as desired].In solution explorer, I right clicked--Add Existing Project--and added both the above mentioned projects 1 by 1. (Added B and C to the solution explorer with the already present A).As the application software's (Project A's) main form is the main form of my project, I want to have a menu option on the main form (Of Project A) so that a user could click on one of the menu options and the main form of my other projects ( Project B or Project C or Encrypt/Decrypt or Voice Generation) should open by him doing so. To this effect, I tried the following:
1. I dragged the form simply from one of the projects (From B or C ) into the folder of my Application Software (Project A).This generated a lot of Build errors and the Voice Generation utility (Prj. C) would not work like this.
2. Tried to reference a dll, however the authors of Projects B and C did not include a dll in their projects.
3. Now I came to know that to call a form residing in another project folder or even another folder within the same project, you have to give a path for the form. HOW DO WE DO THIS?

I have a database (SQL Server 2008) with multiple tables and records. 1 Table contains all kinds of invoice items, which have a unique id, Client ID and invoice number.
My goals is as following:
- I want to show the invoice items in an datagrid, all merged as 1 invoice item (showing date, total without VAT, total with VAT, VAT percentage, VAT value and if the invoice has been paid or not.)
- The datagrid should only contain the invoices for a specific client.
- Should add up totals (Amount paid, Amount not paid, Amount Overdue, Total Amount)
- Should be withing specific date range.
Everything in this table has been saved as varchar except invoice id and unique.

I have 2 workbooks( Book1 and Book2) with multiple sheets.I am only interested in one of the worksheets in the workbooks(both the worksheets names are the same).The thing is that the data is in the form of pivot tables, so each time i have to filter according to specific categories, copy and paste into another new workbook.The thing is column headings in both the worksheets are different,BUT BOTH the worksheets data must be combined into 1 single worksheet( row after row).
Meaning in Book1, my columns are in the form of Cost, revenue,margin and in book2, the columns are in the form of Cost,Revenue, Profit Margin %.... That means i must add a profit margin % column in Book1 and a Margin column in Book2 before I combine the data into a single worksheet. Each week, new data gets added into Book1 and Book2, so I wish to automate this by creating a code, so that when the source data changes, my new workbook's data also changes.

I'm building an application that will be using several (7) SQL queries, I'm wondering whats the best way to approach this since I've never built an app with this many queries in it. These queries really won't change, just the start date and end date and I have query in my first form that finds out the next available date by checking a table. What I'm wondering is if it would be better to construct these queries in my application or if it would be better to use stored procedures on my sql server to do the same thing and not have the application carry the load of the queries.

My project contains a DataGridView with a SQL Database Table called Shows. This is a list of TV Shows and I want to apply several filters to it. So I have several different columns to apply the filter to.
1. Completed (bit)
2. Hide (bit)
3. Seen (bit)
4. Genre (nvarchar)
Currently I am using RadioButtons to switch between the queries, but I want to be able to have several filters applied at the same time with CheckBoxes.

I need to loop through a gridview to find records that match items in a different table (in SQL). Is the best method to loop through the gridview and call an SQL procedure on every loop to find matching records? Or should I pull the entire sql db into a datatable and query the dataset in my gridview loop?

There is not a VB.net database forum, and there is a HUGE difference (unfortunately) between ADO and ADO.net. I have a connection to a MS SQL database, which I understand is capable of handling multiple SQL statements in one Execution, ie

We use an ERP program in conjuction with SQL server and lots of tables that keep track of product records customers and all these kinds of stuff. I am building a fairly simple Warehouse Inventory Application that warehouse employees will use to count and inventory stock on hand from products around the warehouse and then check if any quantity errors occur between stock on hand and logistic quantities.I have created a custom Inventory table that I would populate with records like {stock_code, Description, Quantity_remain, quantity_avail}. Those records already exist in 2 different tables in my database. The aim is that I want my program to fetch daily 10 random codes from the stck table, and records about their quantities,bringing together the "columns" that my new custom table has +2 more editable columns: inventory, date, user with a query like this:[code]
As you can imagine my custom table contains the exact same fields as the query suggests + 3 more.I use the the stck table to fetch product info like its code,description, its group_code, categ_code, and then I outer join the stck_x_th that contains records concerning quantities remaining or available asociated with each product code and the "places" those quantities reside in the warehouse.Then, store them in a datagridview control, with only one editable column -inventory- (user and date columns are auto-populated with default values), and then when the user fills out the inventory quantites, I want to save the datagrid "as it is" in my new custom table.I am creating a databound gridview control using one table adapter (which refers to the inventory table). Then I add to my table adapter using "add query" the forementioned query with a fillby method to populate the Datagrid (and therefore my Table in SQL) with the exact same values my query returned from the different tables. But whenever I try to update the table concurrency exceptions raise.It works like a charm if I enter the values in the grid cells manually, without populating the grid control with the new fillby method my self but not if I populate the grid via a query and then hit update.

I have a vb.net app that uses a table from an ESRI shapefile. The user the datagridview is populated based on a query. Now I need the datagrid to sort on three different fields, as in Street Name => Address Number => Unit. (I can sort on one field)
I've tried to use code samples on the IComparer class but am just not getting there from here. I may be missing something really really simple. (so I attached the code sample I'm using).
My 'workaround idea' is to add a column when the datagridview is populated and concatonate the three fields together. Then I can sort on that new field. I can add the column, but haven't figured out yet how to concatonate the values in the three fields into this new one. And I'm concerned about speed.

I have code that saves changes to data on a form and it works fine. I then used the same code on a different form (only changing the name of the bindingsource and tableadapter), but changes I make to the data don't save. Why will it work on one form, yet not on another? Here is the code I am using to save the data on the form that works:

The only difference I see is that on the second form (the one that won't save) I have other tableadapters loaded. But they are just used to load data into different comboboxes. What could be causing the second form not to update the tableadapter? I'm not talking about running the application, making a change, then closing the application and it not saving. I realize that a second database is created because I've set the Copy to Output Directory property to Copy if Newer. I can tell it doesn't save because I run the application, open the form, make a change, close the form, then open the form again. The change I just made is gone.

I've been struggling the entire day trying to figure this out. Basically the data in my form won't save to the tableAdapter. To update the database I use:
Me.dataSetName.TableName.Rows.Add (DataRowName)
Me.tableAdapterName.Update(Me.dataSetName.TableName)
The database was created using SSMS 2008 R2 and I'm using VS 2010.
I have confirmed that the data is being stored in the data row (because when I removed data from the data row it wouldn't accept because there are NOT NULL columns) and I have followed the instructions of this form as well:[URl]..
