I am using .NET 1.1, so I don't have the access to listitem object. I would like to change the text color or the background color of certain items in a listbox. can it do it in .NET 1.1?
What i want to do is draw a rectangle filled with a color that appears "good" on any screen regardless of bits per pixel and without dithering - ie the color should goto the nearest color instead.
converting a string to color. i use the colordialog to the user can pick a color, which is then saved into a db. when i load the color to fill a lable it comes as a string. so, how do i convert:Color [A=255, R=128, G=128, B=255] to coloralso, when i use the colordialog, it will save basic colors as color[TheColor] and complex as the one above. to be uniform, is there a way to have the colordialog always return a hex value? or do i need to write a function for that?
I want to convert html color e.g #FFFFD2 or RGB 255,255,210 to its brush color equivalent.am doing this in the listbox_drawitem event. see the sample code am using, i got from internet, buts its not working.I want to paint the listitem background with this color, but the items background gets painted white..[code]
I have a TextBox that displays a color as its background color and the background color code in its text. I have set the text color as Black. The problem is that if the user sets the color as Black then the color code will be unreadable. How do I set the text color programmatically so that it becomes readable when the user selects any color?
everyone! I've been at this for a while, and I'm not sure how this issue can be resolved:I'm working on a project in VB.Net, and I have a form with a rich text box. I have a groupbox with 4 radio buttons inside that are intended to change the font color of the text. Coincidentally, I have to repeat this same functionality for a 2nd set of radio buttons that would change the text font family.
At any rate what I've only been able to do is the following to successfully change the font color of whatever text I highlight in the rich text box:
Private Sub rbtnBlack_CheckedChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles rbtnBlack.CheckedChanged rtbxTextEditor.SelectionColor = Color.Black End Sub Private Sub rbtnRed_CheckedChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles rbtnRed.CheckedChanged
[Code]...
Is there a way that I could write a sub (I'm assuming I would use a sub, since I don't think I need to return anything, thus eliminating the use of a function) that would handle the action of changing the selected text color in the rich text box without having to use a separate sub for each radio button? Mind you, per my teacher's specs, she doesn't use a button handler for any of this.
im trying to addapt my printing code so it will print my text what ever i have selected it to be in the text editor. here is the code i have at the moment
Private Sub PrintDocument1_BeginPrint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Drawing.Printing.PrintEventArgs) Handles mypdoc.BeginPrint str = CType(Me.ActiveMdiChild, frmSplit).RTB.Text 'If this was a single text
So I've tried a few different things I though may work, and none of them do. I can't figure out how to change the color of the text within the selected rich text box inside a tab control.
I'm trying to create a small program, which I think will be helpful to others(in here). My aim is to convert the English text shown in screen to Malayalam. English-to-Malayalam conversion is not a problem. But the problem is, how to extract the text from the screen. In most of the converter/translator, the text needs to be copied or written down in the translator tool. But my program will cut off that part. That is, simply move the program window (having a rectangle hollow portion) to the English word that needs to be converted. And upon pressing a button (or autodetect), the English word is converted to Malayalam.
So, my question is how to extract the English text(or words) from the screen (which is seen through the hollow portion of the window.
I am building a vb.net application with VS2010. The aim of the application is to change sln. files from VS2005/2008 versions into VS2010.I am using a Form with 2 text boxes and 2 buttons. When I click the 1st button it reveals the sln file in the text box. Then i have a 'convert' button that I want to use to 'convert' the file that appears in the first text box. I have come quite far with the source code but am just a bit puzzled as to how i can retrieve the VS2005 sln files and to get the 'convert' button to display the text in the 2nd text box.[code]

I am new to visual basic and i'm having difficulty changing color of a text. I'm currently using visual studio 2008. My program is similar to a search engine in which you type a term inside the searchbox and the program will produce the results in a separate message box that will pop up.
