Cursor Property For DataGrid?

I have a datagrid as, well, a lot of people do. Yesterday I was adding some 'helper' details to the cursor for various controls. Yesterday I apparently wasn't paying much attention since I set the DataGrid's Cursor property to 'hand' instead of to the correct control, which is what I wanted.
Today, I can't change it back. I highlight the DataGrid, change the Cursor Porptery to Default and it stays at 'hand.'
I have tried right clicking on the cursor property and selecting 'RESET', but, that does nothing. It stays at HAND -- forever.
I could probably delete the DataGrid and add it back in, re-do all the Unbound Column adding and editing that I had previously, but; I'd rather not.
It should be noted that if I had a temp DataGrid, I can change the cursor all I want - but, with the one that I want - nada. Nope. Zero. Zilch. Also, it should be noted that I have tired to code the cursor to be what I want it to be - that does not help either. It just reverts back to the controls property that I had set.

i am having problem regarding focusing datagrid cursor at specified column.[code]which means that when i click on button labeled GOTO then cursor in datagrid moves to 3rd column in datagrid. but when i use the following code [code]i get an logicle error which says some thing like column name "CompanyName" not found.but when i checked my access file column named with CompanyName exists.

I'm having trouble with some Silverlight functionality. My goal is to get some data from the database and display it in my grid. Sounds simple, however, there are 7 columns that are always going to be there.
The rest of the columns depends on the account. There could be 2 (called Actions) associated with a certain account, compared to another account that could have 5, and the action names can be completely different.
I have successfully been able to return a list of all the possible actions for the given account, and then adding the columns to the grid in the code bihind(VB), and I can bind my data to the grid for all the columns that are already known. The way I store the item's actions, is a Property of type List. My problem is finding a way to iterate through the actions list of the Item object in order to bind those actions to the grid.

I'm trying to create a datagrid with auto generating columns. Let's say my Collection is a property named Articles of my viewmodel of type ObservableCollection<ArticleWrapper>.
I bind now the ItemsSource to this collection:

This VS010 solution is not providing my intended outcome as a custom override of a 'crosshair' or 'reticle' cursor e.Graphics.DrawPath() is the function that isn't working. This
WORKING solution demonstrates how it's supposed to work. The additonal PictureBox added to a Panel is, for reasons I don't understand, not allowing the 'new' cursor to appear.

I have a user control, and want to be able to update its cursor while it is disabled. For example, say that I have a user control whose cursor is Default. I have a custom cursor that I have as a ico file as cur files are only mono coloured and 32x32.
The only problem in using a ico file is that I can't set where the hot spot is and at the moment it is set in the middle of the icon which is no help
I was looking on the msdn website and it said to set the hotspot like this

value = instance.HotSpot But I don't know how to set the point value to (0,54) which is where I want the hotspot to be located.

I have a datagrid that I am unable to change the width setting, it always reverts back to the original setting.
To change this setting:
1. select the datagrid view tasks
2. Edit columns bound column properties
3. Select Width property
4. Width property will always revert back to the original setting.
I have check the properties settings without any luck.

I have a datagrid who's ItemsSource is a strongly typed IEnumerable object In this datagrid, I have a checkbox column, a price column, a part name column, and a 'total selling for' column. On checking the checkbox I need to update the total selling for column with the value in the price column. This part I have working, however, how can I get the checkbox to remain checked when this happens?

Is there a way for implementers of an interface where a ReadOnly property is defined to make it a complete Read/Write Property ?
Imagine I define an interface to provide a ReadOnly Property (i.e., just a getter for a given value) :
Interface SomeInterface
'the interface only say that implementers must provide a value for reading
ReadOnly Property PublicProperty As String
End Interface
This means implementers must commit to providing a value. But I would like a given implementer to also allow setting that value. In my head, this would mean providing the Property's setter as part of the implementation, doing something like this :

I searched on the forum / Internet for the solution how a PropetryInfo object (of a Public property) can reveal if it has a Private Protected Setter ... it was all in vain .... all help I found was about how to "Set" value of a public property having a Private Setter.I would like to know if I have a PropertyInfo object of a public property, how would I know if its Setter is Non Public?
I tried, in a exception handling block, where I did a GetValue of the PropertyInfo object and then called SetValue by setting the same value back... but to my surprise it worked well and didn error out.

I'm having a few problems converting some code into VB.NET from C#. Most of the translating is done, but I am getting errors when I try to run my code, and I can't figure out what is causing them. Here is the Sub I translated.

start with I was given a program by a friend that was created in Excel 2003 with the help of Visual Basic Editor. He said he used Visual Basic 2003, which he is not 100% sure about. Anyways he used CurLine in the program and when I try to open it in Excel 2007 and then open the Visual Basic Editor and run the program I get the following error:Run-time error '-2147418113 (8000ffff)':Could not get the CurLine property. I have a very simple class that holds a few public properties - ID, Text, Colour, etc. and a Boolean called 'SelectedItem'. Just like the Checked property on RadioButtons, only one item can have its SelectedItem property set to True within a particular group. Note: there will be several separate groups (lists), each allowed to have only one item with SelectedItem = True.
My first thought was that I would probably just have to handle everything outside of the class, setting SelectedItem to False for every other item in a particular list when another item was selected. But that seems rather inelegant to me. So I've been trying to think of how this might be done within the class. For example: could I perhaps have a private string property called say "GroupName" - set in the New sub when adding a new instance of the class - and then use a private shared method to set every item's SelectedItem property to False, provided the item has the same GroupName as the newly selected item? I would have a go at doing this but I have no idea how to enumerate every instance of a class from within that class, or whether that's even possible. Is it? Or is there another (better) way to achieve my goal? Here is a cut-down version of what I've got so far:

As can be seen: instead of instantiating a new ResourceItem and passing that as an argument to the manager's Add procedure, I'm simply passing the details of the new item and the procedure is creating the item from those. I don't know whether this is a good or bad idea - please advise - but I've done it because I couldn't figure out how to make the SelectedItem property only writeable by the manager, so I wanted to avoid having directly accessible objects that could have their SelectedItem property set to True without it deselecting all the other items in the same group. Of course that still leaves the possibility of setting a variable to one of the manager's list items and setting it from there, so I would still like to know how I could prevent that, if possible.
UPDATE: I didn't use the code above in the end, deciding instead to go with Cyborgx37's solution - which seems to work perfectly well for me despite the warnings about best practice. I also realised I would need to use the same class in another scenario where multiple items could be selected, so it was easy to add a Boolean property to the manager to enable that.
