I have acess database and it has one table name as "SMF" and that table has 4 fields (Item_code,Item_name,Item_decription and unitprice) I have 2 quetions
1. I want enter the Item_code to the datagridview combobox colume
2. when i select one Item_code i want to automatically enter the Item_name,Item_discription and unit price of that Item_code to the datagridview colume

View 1 RepliesI am building my first VB2008 application and I am trying to figure out a way to make some check boxes being checked when an entry from a combo box is selected on top of these check boxes. More specific, I am trying to describe the services offered in 3 hotel room types. i.e. If the user selects from the combo box the room type "Economy" some extras will be automatically checked (TV, mini bar, etc). If the user selects "Premium" some more check boxes will be checked.
View 2 RepliesI have a DGV that has a check box in the first column to indicate marked rows. After the user marks the rows they want then the OK button is pressed and the form closes. I need the row data that they marked to be transferred some sort of temp db (preferably in memory - 30 rows or less) so I can insert the data to a tabbed UserControl. I also would like to retain that row data while they are working so in case they want to open the form with the DGV again that the previous marked rows show up.

View 6 Repliesfind the underlying DataGridView (DGV) when responding to a Right Click on a ToolStripMenu (TSM).I have several DGV's all using the same ContextMenuStrip (CMS) [DGV.ContextMenuStrip=CMS]I have six ToolStripMenuItems under the CMS. I thought I could just add a unique handler for each of the ToolStripMenuItems and be a happy camper on each Right Click...But I cannot figure a way to decode the underlying DGV. There doesn't seem to be any relationships between DGV and TSM and none between CMS and TSM.Is this path a dead end? If so how should one do it? FYI my DGV data is unbounded.

I added this code to my form; Me.DgvReturns.Item(6, 0).Value = Me.DgvReturns.Item(5, 0).ValueThis Only affects the first line of the datagridview.. The second, third, fourth etc etc records are not reflected. Therefore, the vale of the textbox is not shown on the combobox.

I bound a column ("Initials") of DataGridView (which is bound to dataset ds) to dataset ds2 ("employees"). View 2 RepliesI am trying to have cascading comboboxes within a datagridview.I have it partially working. dataset1 has 2 tables, with a parent-child relation built inDatagridview1 contains:column 1: combobox, bound to bindingsource 1 which is bound to dataset1column 2: combobox, bound to bindingsource 2 which is bound to bindingsource 1when column 1 is selected, column 2 choices are limited to those related to column 1however, if column 2 is chosen in a row that previously had data, and was loaded with the form, then its choices stay the same as the last row where column 1 was physically selected before column 2.I seem to need to refresh the binding source somehow to emulate how it works if I was to go into column 1 and make a selection by hand.H

I am using the Editing Control Showing Even to catch the ComboBox Selection. (see code bellow).Here is the problem: After I click on a Cell with a ComboBox and make a Selection and then update the underlying cell (cell = selected value) and then click on another Row of the DGV it goes haywire.
