I have a problem deleting specific field in the table. Instead of deleting specific field in the table, the entire row that is selected in the flexgrid is being deleted. please give me idea what code should I add to delete my last row in the flexgrid at the same time delete the data from the database. From within Excel, I want to import data from Access. This is simple enough using Microsoft Query. What is not so simple, at least to me, is how to get the SUM of numbers in a specific field in a specific table in Access. I do not need to import every number in the field only the SUM of the field. I need this 'total figure' to be placed in a cell in an Excel spreadsheet.
The data is listed in the Access table in this order: (there are others but these are the three I am interested in)
TimeStamp, Terminal, TransActionTotal
Simplistically, there are three cells (A2, B2, C2) on on the spreadsheet (one for each terminal). The first should show a total for the day for Terminal 1, the second for Terminal 2 and the third for Terminal 3. Is there a way to get Excel to read the data in the table, add up the appropriate fields by date and then write this total in the appropriate cell? If it makes it any easier, the date is recorded in another cell on the spreadsheet (let's say E1).
I'm a beginner developer using VB 2008 Express Edition and SQL Server 2008 Express. Borrow DVDs
What I would like to do is when I am viewing a member's details, if I click a button 'Borrow DVD for Member', the member's ID number transfers over to the Borrow DVDs table in the Member ID which also would hold some information from the DVD Information table, but I'm sure if i can figure out how to do this firstly, I will be able to apply the same rule and work it out myself.I have been trying to use a query statement like;

I am leaning VB and have created a basic inventory app for work that consist of 4 tables, CurrentInventory, Surplus, Staff and Category. Each of these tables have a corresponding form. My question is with the CurrentInventory and Surplus form/tables. I want a button on the CurrentInventory Form that when clicked the current record would be transferred to the Surplus table and deleted from the CurrentInventory table.I am assuming that I could somehow use the INSERT command to copy the current record to the surplus table but I am not sure how to accomplish this.

In review, this code sort of holds the first row and clears the remaining rows. However, when I exit and reopen the program the rows return. So in other words, I want the rows to get permently deleted. I have searched and cannot find a solution to permenly delete all rows without deleting the first row.

something like:

BTW the userLogged indicates wether the user is logged in or not

I now have a need to allow them to execute a Function and I'd like to treat the function like I have my reports and queries by listing it in a table with a 'friendly user title' attached to it and then when the code executes, it would reference the name of the function that I have in another field of that same record. In my current code I check to see what type of object it is that they want to execute and use either DoCmd.OpenReportor DoCmd.OpenQuery. Now I want to execute a Public Function that I have created that will open its own form to display the resulting requested information in.
I am using a VB.Net form in which I have a table of sql. In it is a boolean field.
I want to show this field in a form as checked if that field value is true and if false then it should not be checked. Is this is possible?
