This program is about converting hours to weeks, days, etc. It doesn't do what it's supposed to do. instead of displaying 0 week, 0 day, and 23 hours it displays 0 week, 1 day and -1 hour.
I want to get number of days in a month. Here is my requirement if I am selecting month name in a combobox then I am displaying days in another combobox. Example : If I am selecting JAN in one combobox then 1 to 31 numbered bind to another combobox. If I am seleing FEB in a ombobox 1 to 28 numbers added to the combobox. I want to do this in vb.net (windows application).
I am supost to code a program for my homework using an one-dimensional array.in the program you enter the number of the moth and it gives you how many days are in that month. and I'm just kind of lost?
In calendar module the days for the particular month of that year is displaying with the events of the day for that particular month, where i'm not getting the events constantly after the click of each month [code]

Dim getDate As Date = New Date(yearInAcademicYearAndMonth(selectedMonth, academicYear), selecedMonth, numOfRows) 'create detail row
I need to use select case to input a month by using its number IE: january = 1, february = 2 etc. when the month is inputted, how many days in that month is the output. I have to take into consideration leap year. the years I am using to determine leap year is 2004,2008,2012,2016 Here is the code I have so far:
Module Module1 Sub Main() Dim monthnumber As Integer
Dim days_in_clc_month(10) As Integer days_in_clc_month(0) = 30 days_in_clc_month(1) = 29 days_in_clc_month(2) = 30

i just need to get this block of codes out, and put it in a textfile. and my program will run without seeing it, because it's all saved in the textfile.
how to manipulate the dates to determine which date will be 30 days more then the datetime control I have on my form. i need to take the chosen date from the DateTime control, and determine what date it will be in 30 days. Eventually I will use this process to search through the database to print monthly reports.
I changed the date of datetimepicker format to yyyy-mm-dd in custom format...but it displays 2009-00-22...the month part is not showing the month of the exact month..how to change the format of the date?
I need this for 2 different changes.ON one form i got a week calendar, the other a month calendar. Was hoping to add 2 buttons previous & next.To scroll back in time x days, or x days forward. And similar for the months, but instead of days months. Can anybody give me a exaple or a method how to get this to work?Figured it could be done with a loop, but not sure anymore.
The function for getting the difference in days between two days is giving me a wrong answer here. What could i be doing wrong??? DateDiff(DateInterval.Day, CDate("28/1/2011"), CDate("31/1/2011"))
Currently i have a ReturnSystemDate in a module, so that whenever i need the current date and time i call this method, however my data is saving as in 1 format and displaying in another. I have my variables set up as dateTime to store the current date and time, when calling System.dateTime.now.toString() i get 11/08/2010 Time, however when casting to Date as in CDATE() i get 08/11/2010 time. How can i stop this?
I want my game to tick over month by month at a set interval. I would use the timer control to get the interval. But how can I pause it? Say if one "month" is 5 minutes in my game and user hits pause. I would disable the timer but then when they unpause the game the timer would start from 0 again. This would make a "month" 9 minutes if a user paused the game in the 4th minute.
I have a date in the future e.g. 13/10/2008 I need to subtract the current date (today is the 28/09/2010) minus 7 days, so thats 21/09/2010 minus 13/10/2008, which would equal erm, 720 something ? But the current date won't always be 28/09/2010, obviously. I need the code for this. EDIT: When i said future I mean past :)
I have a problem in trying to get a list of a date including days in a table start from first day of the month to the last day of the month. This date should not include the satuday and sunday. and I should be able to pick up those date for query match.
I'm developing a finance software and I want the user to enter a bill and pick the due date via month calendar. I getting it to work was the easy part, but now I only want one month calendar, for each time a user enters in a bill and picks a date.every time the user goes to pick a due date I have to call one of the several I have on screen. Here is my code that I have so far:Add due date button:

Just a bit of an issue that we're trying to resolve here. Assuming We're implementing a business model as one dll and a data access layer as another dll. We want them to be de-coupled so we implement an interface for the data-access layer. Great, we could now swap out the data access layer and, as long as the new data access layer fulfils the interface we're good to go, right?
Except we're not. In the business model we need to insanciate the data access layer and, because you can't instanciate an interface, you have to instanciate the actual class. We need to know the name space and the class name. We're going to end up with a line of code somewhere in our business model that looks something like this:-
Dim test as iDataLayer
test = new namespace.DataLayer
Basically, we can declare test as an iDataLayer (the interface) but to instanciate it we need to refer to the actual class (DataLayer). So we haven't really removed the coupling. If we want to swap out the data layer for a different implementation with a possibly different class name or namespace then we need to ammend the code in the business model. We're trying to avoid that.
So far the best we can come up with is to use the activate instance method instead of the New keyword (Late Binding). Because that takes a string we could hold the namespace and classname in a config file or similar, so swapping out one component wouldn't invalidate the others, you'd just need to update the config. That's just our home-spun solution though and I can't help feeling there are betters ways out there.
I have two datagrids, one show Item purchase and the other Usage. I have total the QtyUsed column which I place the total on the 1st row as 11, I would like it to show 8 and show the reminder on the next row and calculate the QtyonHand. Below is the code I've tried and in work but I, think I need to kind of loop to drop to the next row. I had to place the number 1 for i to get the second row, but there may be many more rows. Not sure this is clear.
Private Function Qused() As Double 'Usage(QtyUsed) Dim QU As Double = 0 [Code] .....
