Disable WebBrowser Scrolling?
Nov 27, 2011How can I disable any sort of scrolling that will move a webpage in a webbrowser so that the page stays at that exact location?
I've already disabled scrollbars, but I want to go further than that.

VS 2008 Disable Scroll Bars But Enable Scrolling?
Feb 4, 2010I am building a basic web browser that I would like to not have any scroll bars (I can do this by setting the "ScrollBarsEnabled" button to False) but also still be able to have the scroll fulction via keyboard shortcuts.
IE when you press page up and down the page scrolls, but when they are disabled you can no longer use the page up and down keys to scroll.
Is there any "scroll function" in the browser like WebBrowser1.scrolldown etc that I could use? that I can have key strokes trigger?
A bit of an over view, the web browser is hosted in other software that has customizable buttons, these buttons can be set to send key strokes to the hosted app in this case my web browser.
Example of what I do for my home button

Aug 16, 2010I am wanting to enable scrolling via Page Up/down keys, arrow keys etc as well as using a multi-touch touch screen (just need to drag your finger any where on the web browser control), but I do not want to be able to see the scrollbars. All of this works when:
WebBrowser1.ScrollBarsEnabled = (True)
But if I set to false it disables not just the scroll bars but also scrolling. Does anyone know a work around to this?

Jun 18, 2010I am navigating to a website using a webbrowers control and I wish to automatically scroll the page after it is loaded. I have used scrolltop , scrollleft commands as set out below but nothing seems to happen.
WebBrowser1.Document.Body.ScrollTop = 100
WebBrowser1.Document.Body.ScrollLeft = 200
I have placed the above commands in a command button and wait until the page has loaded before I press it and also in the
WebBrowser1_DocumentCompleted sub
Other commands such as
WebBrowser1.Document.Body.ScrollIntoView(True)
Seem to work ok.

Aug 7, 2009I am extremely new to Visual Basic, and I have only so far made an e-mail sender and an SMS sender (through e-mail).
So I am having troubles, I made a quick Web browser that I only want to show one page when you press a button ( you have to enter a name into a textbox and it will then make the URL to show), but the page has some links on it, which I don't want people to click on.
1) Disable the hyperlinks
2) Disable left clicks in the browser
3) Make the browser somehow only visible and not actually interactive with a mouse
I honestly have been searching for hours for a solution and also trying different things, but to no avail.[cod]e...

Aug 5, 2011After scouring the articles online I have come up with this design for a winforms based touchscreen app that needs smartphone like scrolling. The app itself will run on a tablet laptop or touchscreen desktop.I put everything I want to scroll on a panel. Set autoscroll to true (which will show scrollbars)Now put this whole panel inside a groupbox.Shrink the groupbox until the scrollbars are hidden (visually hidden, not visible = false)
Now the fun part I am stuck at.I think I have to handle the mousedown, mouseup & mousemove on the panel to set the autoscrollposition so that when someone touches the panel and drags, it does it's scroll magic. Please help fill in the few lines of code in below method stubs. The msdn doc on autoscrollposition is very confusing since it returns negative numbers but needs to be set to positive with abs and what not.

Aug 6, 2010I have been googling for hours and trying to figure this out, and I just can't.I have 1 webbrowser control on a form, webbrowser1. Once I load a page, say google.com, if I use webbrowser1.refresh() or webbrowser1.navigate("google.com"), it's not reloading the page, it has it cached so it's just reloading the cache. This is terribly apparent especially on pages like forums or craigslist.

May 22, 2011In my form I have added a webbrowser that will navigate into a URL and that URL ends with an extension (.zip) now my problem is that I want to disable the File Download Dialog in order to download it without interruption .N.B : I don't want to use the HTTP CLIENT because I need the webbrowser to navigate to another page after downloading the file.

i generate a small HTML file on a hard disk, put the AxWebBrowser2 object navigate to the file, all works fine, but i need to diable all user interface on that object. If the user clicks on object, the page reloads completely and i need to avoid that behavior.
