I'm just wondering if it's possible to add the mouse when capturing the screen or monitor in vb.net?
because I'm doing a project that would record the screen and I'm actually successfull doing that by capturing the screen and include it in a timer, but my only problem is the mouse or the cursor isn't showing.
below is my sample code.
Dim ScreenSize As Size = New Size(TotalScreenWitdh, MonitorHeightArray(0))
Dim BMP As New Bitmap(TotalScreenWitdh, MonitorHeightArray(0))
[Code].....

I had a post about how to disable monitors, but someone suggested just making it not possible to leave the primary screen. This was obviously a good suggestion, but im not sure how i would accomplish this.
I need to prevent the user from entering the ctrl, alt, delete, escape, and windows key. I also need to prevent the mouse from leaving the primary screen.
My program is a security login system. It requires a username and password to close, and i want to make sure that it cannot close unless the user supplies the correct username and password.

My touch screen keyboard is highly customizable interface and has every component I need except for sending keys, anyone see a problem with this. Originally when I was creating it I was going to use the Forms.SendKeys.Send() but it's a WPF application... no go. For starters VB.Net in its infinite wisdom decided it would not handle default form messages. Go figure.
Or perhaps, this is my real problem, I can't get the WPF application to stop getting focus. I want it to act like the windows touch keyboard, but Every action that occurs in the transparent WPF makes that application the active one. I want events to still occur but I need the active window to be the window you wish to type into, like notepad.
Any Suggestions on what I should do, to make my WPF not focusable and to send keyboard buttons to the focused (or other) window? PS, I'm using WPF in Visual Studio 2010 in Vb.Net (I can use C# Code to!)

I am trying to make a VB project for use on a touch screen so I require buttons that when pressed load a different image (the selected version of the image) ie. I know how to do this in HTML and CSS for use in web pages but am struggling to find out how to do it in VB.I have an image (looks like a button) that I want displayed in my form window and then when the image is clicked I want the image to swap for another image so to the user it looks like they are pressing a button.Now the standard windows button in VB (ie when you drag a "button" from the tool box) does this but I can not replicate this using my own images.

I recently bought this multi-touch monitor (writing on it right now :P), and am creating an application for it. Now I need to detect which screens are touch-enabled. For example, I have the touch screen as my main monitor now, but I also have a secondary regular screen, I need the aplication to be able to detect which monitor has a touch screen, EVEN WHEN THE TOUCH SCREEN IS THE SECONDAY NONITOR!

My boss has intention to use a touch screen for a computer that run my program (written in VB 2005) in a computer with windows XP OS, to make it look sexy for our customers to see (in a cafe settings). None of us know much of touch screen at the moment. Do I have to modify my program (which currently run on usual set up with optical mouse) to run with touch screen? Can touch screen works just like a replacement for the mouse (the way bar code scanner works just as replacement of keyboard)?

Using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition.Note: Program is to be used with Touch Screen. (No keyboard or mouse)TODO: Get Log in form to allow the input of values from clicking on Buttons 1 thru 0.*,# '1. So far Buttons on Log in form allow one entry only. Form needs to allow 9 entries. 2. When Clear button is clicked. Password box entry clears, but then, there is no Cursor.Will worry about the rest (authentication) Later its taken two weeks to get this far.NOTE: Not using a User Name Just a Password

Im using Visual Basic 2008 Express..Is there a way to disable mouse click for a while in Visual Basic 2008, I mean if mouse was clicked more than 1 time in very short time to click only once? -- I need it because my mouse became like crazy one.. when I click once it may clicks twice or more.so until I buy another one, I'd like to filter click, to allow only one click and to block another clicks that were made in last second.

I'm trying to get coordinates on my screen by holding down my mouse and placing it over different parts of the screen. I'm using the mouse_up and down events in a button to kinda simulate the mouse being held down. The problem I'm running into is that anytime I go past the button's bounds, the coordinates I want stop. This is what I have so far:

I have a WebBrowserControl on my main form and it auto navigates and all that just fine! What I would like to do is not allow the user to click anywhere within the WebBrowserControl while the program is running. Reason for this is that the browser self-navigates to a view of cameras and this shows scrollbars. My program then takes screenshots of specific coordinates on the screen so I do not want the user to use the scrollbars or highlight or do ANYTHING to the page once the program starts. I would like to change the cursor icon to like a red X or something similar to indicate no user functionality.

I'm trying to create a hook to monitor the current position of the mouse cursor. Nothing important, I just need to count some pixels during interface design and wanted to learn how to create a hook, so I decided to go for a hard way instead of a sane way.
I've found example code which declares the following function:
<DllImport("User32.dll", CharSet:=CharSet.Auto, _
CallingConvention:=CallingConvention.StdCall)> _
Public Overloads Shared Function SetWindowsHookEx _
[Code].....
But Appdomain.GetCurrentThreadID generates the warning: "'Public Shared Function GetCurrentThreadId() As Integer' is obsolete: 'AppDomain.GetCurrentThreadId has been deprecated because it does not provide a stable Id when managed threads are running on fibers (aka lightweight threads). To get a stable identifier for a managed thread, use the ManagedThreadId property on Thread."
I've tried using ManagedThreadID, but that doesn't work. The thread ID returned seems to be the logical thread ID of the thread, as it runs in the .net runtime, rather than the Win32 thread identifier.
Calling the function ith AppDomain.GetCurrentThreadID works, but I really would like to have a "stable identifier" for my thread.
Can someone explain to me whether it is possible to use ManagedThreadID in this context (I assume not) and, if not, the things I need to avoid in order to stop the AppDomain.CurrentThreadID from becoming "unstable"?

I have some code that takes a screen capture of my monitor. This code seems to work perfectly OK and can take multiple screen captures, apart from when I do a Print Screen using the keyboard or open SnagIT 8, when I then try to run my code again I get an error "A generic error occured in GDI+"
I am at a bit of a loss, I have had a look on the internet, but everything I seem to find appears to be related to web apps. and access permissions. This is a window based application and therefore can not seem to find an answer.Below is the code I am running:

I designed a form which contains about 50 objects all kinds including tableadapters,buttions,grids, tabs. What is the best way to optimize the loading with less time consuming. I cannot split objects in on different form as all the objects has to appear on screen as a requirement.
But my primary question here is, i designed this form with all these objects on a 15" monitor which fitted 100% on the screen. Now i am using 17" monitor when i open this form on run time, all the objects are appearing as designed but theres a 30% form area which is left blank. How can i make the form objects resize automatically on run time itself to fit on different size of monitor with no area left blank.

I'm designing a player application to accompany our phone system. As our calltakers take calls, it makes recordings of each call. They can go to a list module, find a recording and double click, which opens my player. The issue i have is that if the calltaker gets another call, my player doesn't know it and will continue playing. I'm looking for a way to monitor the screen in a particular area and when it sees yellow or red instead of blue, it will pause my player.
The phone system does not have any API's that I can hook onto, so I have to try it another way.
The screen resolution never changes and the queue buttons where they receive calls will always be static. When they get a call, a small area changes from the background color blue to yellow or red to indicate a call.
**EDIT Final Code based on answers below and question Memory Leak using GetPixel/GetDC in Visual Basic
Private Function CheckforCall()
Dim hDC As IntPtr = GetDC(0)

I got this monitor that can turn 90 degrees & another program will rotate the display when it detects it has been rotated, I have a few questions though.
1.How can I detect when the monitor has been rotated (the monitor is hooked up via vga & no other cable goes to PC so I am guessing the message is sent across the vga cable).
2.How can I make it actually rotate the screen when the message is detected that the screen has been rotated?
I would download the other software but it's just some bulky & slow software for a small thing, windows has the ability for rotation built in, just not the auto rotation feature like the program, I just need to detect the message & make windows rotate the screen.

I am creating an application for a company and this CD will be distributed to hundreds of people. Many users will have different computer screen size and different screen settings such as their resolution set to 1024 x 728 and their monitor size 17" inches.
I noticed when I loaded the application on a different computer with different settings the application was to big for the screen and did not work. I notice that lot of other programs from microsoft resize their controls and text but never knew how they did it. How can I resize the form and control according to the user's setting.

What I have so far is a program that moves the mouse around my application. I used a bit a maths as well to make the movement smooth. Here's my code for anyone who is interested:
Code:
Public Sub MoveMouseCursor(ByVal DestinationX, ByVal DestinationY)
Dim DifferenceX As Integer = MousePosition.X - DestinationX
Dim DifferenceY As Integer = MousePosition.Y - DestinationY
[Code].....
Now with my problem. When the program is running, the last thing I want is for the user to be moving the mouse because the program would get disrupted. How can I enable and disable the use of the mouse for the users benefits really because if they even knock the mouse slightly it could cause them a few difficulties. Anyway, I am hardly restricting them from using their computer because there is only one mouse. If they want my program to run, then they will have to except the fact that they can't do something else in the mean time. Also, after the program has finished running, I will need to enable the mouse again.

I have an application in Visual Basic Express 2008 that just has a Windows Media Player control on a blank form. In order to prevent the user from double clicking which would result in the media player full screening, I want to disable both right and left mouse clicks on the form and Windows Media Player control. Any suggestions?
