I am trying to develop an application for POS.I have designed a on screen keyboard.I am trying to make this keyboard more like real keyboard, I mean keys to be more 3d like real keyboard but I find limitations in VB .Net button control.
I wanted to ask that can a simple vb dot net program run on a computer with windows xp and LCD screen?I have a simple computer with a standard monitor, no touch screen, Windows 7 ultimate and Visual Studio 2010. Do i need anything else to create a simple VB .net program for another computer with Windows xp and Touch screen LCD?

I have an application (VB10) that runs on a 800x480 display with a resistive touch screen ... the driver of the touch (eGalaxTouch USB) provides a procedure for calibration ....
how can I call the calibration of the touch from my application?
I have some code that broadly looks like the following ... WebBrowser1.Document.All("btn_submit").InvokeMember("click") WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("select").Item("id_pickupdate").SetAttribute("value", "2011-07-07")
I cannot seem to get it to work in one code routine. I end up having to have a separate button to set the date after the page has loaded. I have tried all the blog posts using isbusy, timer etc but it does not seem to work. The code breaks and the error prompt says that id_pickupdate does not exist.
My touch screen keyboard is highly customizable interface and has every component I need except for sending keys, anyone see a problem with this. Originally when I was creating it I was going to use the Forms.SendKeys.Send() but it's a WPF application... no go. For starters VB.Net in its infinite wisdom decided it would not handle default form messages. Go figure.
Or perhaps, this is my real problem, I can't get the WPF application to stop getting focus. I want it to act like the windows touch keyboard, but Every action that occurs in the transparent WPF makes that application the active one. I want events to still occur but I need the active window to be the window you wish to type into, like notepad.
Any Suggestions on what I should do, to make my WPF not focusable and to send keyboard buttons to the focused (or other) window? PS, I'm using WPF in Visual Studio 2010 in Vb.Net (I can use C# Code to!)
I want to disable the funtionality of using a mouse when using a touch screen monitor in vb.net. the reason why i ask is because i want to limit users to only one option. is there a way I can code this in vb.net 2010.
I am trying to make a VB project for use on a touch screen so I require buttons that when pressed load a different image (the selected version of the image) ie. I know how to do this in HTML and CSS for use in web pages but am struggling to find out how to do it in VB.I have an image (looks like a button) that I want displayed in my form window and then when the image is clicked I want the image to swap for another image so to the user it looks like they are pressing a button. Now the standard windows button in VB (ie when you drag a "button" from the tool box) does this but I can not replicate this using my own images.
I recently bought this multi-touch monitor (writing on it right now :P), and am creating an application for it. Now I need to detect which screens are touch-enabled. For example, I have the touch screen as my main monitor now, but I also have a secondary regular screen, I need the aplication to be able to detect which monitor has a touch screen, EVEN WHEN THE TOUCH SCREEN IS THE SECONDAY NONITOR!
My boss has intention to use a touch screen for a computer that run my program (written in VB 2005) in a computer with windows XP OS, to make it look sexy for our customers to see (in a cafe settings). None of us know much of touch screen at the moment. Do I have to modify my program (which currently run on usual set up with optical mouse) to run with touch screen? Can touch screen works just like a replacement for the mouse (the way bar code scanner works just as replacement of keyboard)?
I'm looking for some WPF applications specifically designed for touch. Preferably they'd be open source. I don't really care about the apps function, I just want to get some design ideas for a Win7 WPF touch app I'll be writing. I'd like to see what can be done with WPF touch.
I want to use the Windows built-in OSK in a touch application I am creating. I found this link to a class that allows one to manage the size & location of the OSK. However, when I run it in my project all I get is a big blue bar at the bottom of the screen, with no keys being displayed. Here is the code from that link:
Imports System.Runtime.InteropServices Public Class ClKeyboard #Region "Constants"
i need to get some buttons to interact with other buttons on screen when i click then, as each indivual button gives a slightly different result.imagine this:[code]....
then i need then to hide different buttons depending on which button was pressed. so say i pressed button 1 then all the buttons showed but alternativly if i had of pressed 2 then say button 5 and 6 disapear.managed to get one way to work but then i would only ever end up with the first results every time.
I have now had two occurances of (different) users "losing" their frm position. I save the position to my.settings in the formClosing event ... and this is the only place that these values are set. When the users loaded the form the first time it worked just fine. At some later point the for got repositioned to -32000 (top) and -32000 (left). I now check for this and reposition the form when it is not on the monitor, but I'd like to understand what causes this. I'm using VS2010 and compiling against .net 3.5
Is the formClosing the wrong place to put the logic to save the settings?
I have a button (named Test) and I have the X and Y coordinates of the 3 buttons (Which are A, B and C) to click. Now what I want to do is, when the Test(button) is pressed, timer1 (22 seconds) would start and after 22 seconds it presses automatically button A and if it isn't the right button then it will wait another 22 seconds and then presses button B and if it is right it will start another 22 seconds and if it is wrong it would start another 22 seconds and press button C. If the correct button was B then another 22 seconds would start and this time it would start again from A.
1.When Button TEST is press the timer will count down 22 seconds.
2.After 22 seconds it will press the button A (timer will stop)
3.If button A was the correct letter then Timer will count another 22seconds.
4.If button A was wrong it will start the timer (22seconds) and then press B (timer stopped).
5.If button B was correct, timer will start another 22 seconds (back to step 2)
6.If button B was wrong then timer will start and will click button C. (timer stopped)
7.If button C was correct then timer will start (Back to step 2)
8.Will continue like this until 25 clicks had been made then it will stop.
FormA calls DialogB where user cancels DialogB which exits via ForceTermination(), see insert.Caller FormA check for DialogResult not = OK, which it isn't, and I can see this in debug as Abort(3).However, the code continues merrily along its way until I get a 'null reference' error which I'm trying to avoid via Force Termination().This is caused by the user cancelling DialogB, a selection process to get a database (SQL) instance.[code]
I have a question regarding clicking a button on a web page through the web browser control in VB .Net Express Edition. I have figured out quite a few tricks and stuff with the web browser control but I can't figure out how to automatically click a button. I know I can invoke the 1st instance of a "submit" type button but I want to click the 3rd instance (or chose which ever one I want). Unfortunately the button declarations in the HTML don't have ID or NAME tags to make it easy to pick them. How would I go about extracting all the buttons on a form in an array form, so I could invoke a certain member of that array and click a button of my choosing. Is this possible?

I'm making a program which will work minimized in the system tray. Now, what it have to do is to load a page [URL] and then input a specific string which i have stored, into this element:
HTML Code: <input name="ctl00$ctl00$JobnetBaseMiddelContent$LoginContentPlaceHolder$txtUsername" type="text" id="ctl00_ctl00_JobnetBaseMiddelContent_LoginContentPlaceHolder_txtUsername" class="text required" style="width:183px;">
and another string into this one:
HTML Code: <input name="ctl00$ctl00$JobnetBaseMiddelContent$LoginContentPlaceHolder$txtPassword" type="password" id="ctl00_ctl00_JobnetBaseMiddelContent_LoginContentPlaceHolder_txtPassword" class="text required" style="width:183px;">
and then press this button:
HTML Code: <input type="submit" name="ctl00$ctl00$JobnetBaseMiddelContent$LoginContentPlaceHolder$btnLogon" value="Log ind" id="ctl00_ctl00_JobnetBaseMiddelContent_LoginContentPlaceHolder_btnLogon">
After that, it would login to the website, and would afterwards press on another button. Each week, i have to login to a website, and press a button in order to keep my current economic status. Which is quite meaningless. Therefore, having a program to press it for me, working in the background, would be so much easier, and make me not forget it?
Ps.The elements info's were received using Google Chrome's "View Element Details".
I know how to grab all the links of a page, and I tried using that same principle to grab the buttons, but I'm not exactly sure how to click one based on a certain parameter.
Here's what I'm trying to do. When the page completes (this code is obviously under Document_Completed), the program should grab all of the buttons on a page and go through each of them, and if any of them have a value of "value1", the program should click that button. This should be done with a for loop.. but like I said, I'm not sure how to accomplish this.
I have an application that contains a MDI Form as the main screen. In the text field of the form, I am trying to display the version of the application using the following syntax:[code]Using the above code, it always looks like 1.0.0.0 when in reality I'm on version 1.0.0.6. What am I doing wrong?
i try to make an array of controls and by clicking buttons add new textboxes or comboboxes here is my code
Public Class Form1 Dim CArray() As Control Dim lngArrayNum As Long = 0
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Add_Control()End Sub Private Sub Add_Control(Optional ByVal intType As Integer = 0)
I have 7 Windows forms. The order of the forms is defined within a configuration file.I want to place buttons on each form that will show the next available options. The Next button will move the next form in the list. The Back button will move to the previous form in the list. The Finish button will execute the final piece of code. The Cancel button will exit the application. If the user is on the first form, then there is no Back button. If the user is on the last form, then there is no Next button, but there is a Finish button.
but none of them have worked... (I aso changed the form name to its correct name instead of 0, but still no luck). Here is the html button I'm trying to click.
<div class ="user" > <input class ="button " type ="image " src ="/images/userbutton.gif " />
What code do I add so that I get create a required log-in prompt pop-up box asking for a username and password. I also want to make sure that when the user types the password that the password field will not show the specific characters.
I am using the following code in the 'Application.Designer.vb' to set one of the two forms as the the mainform for my splash screen. The global string array gSetupStr(0,1) only produces a correct result when any Msgbox is inserted before the 'If' statement. However,I do not want the Msgbox during a splash screen, but do want to control the mainform.
