Apr 30, 2012I am using System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement to try to add a local account to the local administrators group with the following code but am getting the error below on the group.Members.Add(usr) line. Both usr and group are created as objects and if I create a Test group, I can add the user to the Test group. I know the group object is the local administrators group and not the domain group because i changed the description on the local administratrors group and the group object is correct so it appears to be something specific to the local administrators group.

Name is never null, but number may be. In this case I want the report to include the NULL in each group, like this:

The SSRS, however, puts the null in a group on its own. How do I accomplish this?

Aug 24, 2009I am trying to do a simple summary of table data using a LINQ query.a regular SQL Query looks like:[code]This query works fine and returns the correct results.[code]This LINQ query returns the incorrect results some of the time. Off by .01 in most cases.The "value" column is of type Numeric (12,2) in the database.Now when I show the values from the Sum in a msgbox I get extra precision and thus incorrect results as my end result because of rounding.For example I get 835.18 + 54.62 = 889.80960 from the above LINQ query.I am running Visual Studio 2008 9.0.30729.1 SP on Vista 64Bit with .NET 3.5 SP1.

May 3, 2011I'm trying to match up a specific group name and see if it exists for the currently logged in user using Active Directory roles. If the Group Name exists for the Current User, I want that group name to be displayed in a drop down list. Jun 17, 2011Background: I have an application that loads marketing companies into a drop down list if the currently logged in user is a member of that marketing group in active directory. The Group ACOMP_USER_BIG is compared to MarketingCompanyShortName Big in the database records via a web service. Problem: I have 3 Newly added AD Groups that won't load in production but load fine in the drop down on my local dev server. The deployment guy already tried doing an IISReset and that didnt fix the issue. All the AD groups have read access only and no write access. We need to find out more information on why the marketing company AD groups are not loading. How do I get the groups to load correctly or prove that the problem is not a programming issue and a deployment or AD issue? H*ere's the VB.NET Code behind that populates the marketing company drop down list.

Apr 23, 2010We have a report that has to be called from an ASP.NET application, it could be a simple button. Through the code-behind, I gotta pass in a paramater, render the report, and don't save it anywhere, just open it to the user, as a .pdf file so he could save or print it.
EDIT:Now I've got the report done, I just need to know the best aproach to call it.It can't be done directly from an URL because that allows the user to save or close the pdf file, which is not what I want.
I'm starting to think that the best aproach to achieve this would be the following:I render the PDF programatically, and create the .PDF file in a temporary folder inside my app structure, then start a new thread to open the file, and wait for the user to close it, when he does, I delete the file and the thread is dead.

MyCol is a Nullable column. I want "yes" to be output only when MyCol equals 0. The code above correctly evaluates to "yes" when MyCol is 0. However, it also evaluates to "yes" when MyCol is Nothing (i.e. NULL in SQL Server). Is this expected behavior ?
I had to resort to the following longer expression to get the desired result :
=IIF(Not(First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet") is Nothing) And First(Fields!MyCol.Value, "MyDataSet")=0, "yes", "no")Is there a shorter version of this which also works ?
Asp.net - SSRS Reporting Loads Slowly The 1st Report
Apr 30, 2012I have a website(asp.net) which displays ssrs reports. Howevery everytime that I try to run the report from the website it takes about 2 min to load, but if I click on the report again , it will load up in seconds. I have tried to run a query that is used by the report and I get the results in second as well.
Is there any configuaration that I need to change or any tsql code that I need to add?
I have gone through to solutions provided here on stackoverflow but still had no luck.
C# - SSRS - Last Page Does Not Show On Print Preview?
Mar 10, 2009We're using SQL Server Reporting Services embedded using the Report Viewer control on a Win32 VB.net page. Currently targeting .net 2.0, we can possibly move to 3.5 if it'll fix the issue.
When you view the report you can see the entire thing, however, when pressing print preview the last page of the report fails to be shown. The page number on the bottom of the report will say "Page 1 of 2" or Page "1 of N" but you can only actually see pages 1 through N-1.The same thing happens when you just try to print the report. But if I go to print preview, back to normal view, and print preview again I can see the entire report.
