I am trying to take a string that I have marked up through vb.net code and cross-check it with the text file it came from originally. This is for proofreading the html output.To do this, I need to parse an HTML snippet that does not come from a URL.The examples of HTMLAgilityPack I have seen get their input from a URL. Is there a way to parse a string of marked-up text that does not include a header or similar parts of a well-formed webpage?

Need a bit of help with HTML Agility Pack!Basically I want to grab plain-text withing the body node of the HTML. So far I have tried this in vb.net and it fails to return the innertext meaning no change is seen, well atleast from what I can see.
Dim htmldoc As HtmlDocument = New HtmlDocument
htmldoc.LoadHtml(html)
Dim paragraph As HtmlNodeCollection = htmldoc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//body")
[code]....
I have tried this:
Return htmldoc.DocumentNode.InnerText
But still no luck!

The method I'm currently using to extract html and the parse is via a WebBrowser control.I'm grabbing a collection of tags, sorting through the ones I want, and then pulling the innertext.Doing this on my development machine is kind of slow, but manageable. At max, I can go through 60 different web pages across 3 different sites. It takes about 5 mins on my machine.
However, this app is targeted towards machine that have a quarter of the technology that my computer has. So, it takes anywhere from 10-15 minutes. This is less than ideal.I've bee reading up on the documentation on HTTPWebRequest. However, form what I've seen I can't seem to find a way to grab the HTML and then parse it with a method from HTTPWebRequest.
Due to the way I'll be using it, I won't be able to use RegEx to parse the data and was hoping there was a method within the HTTPWebRequest property to do it.

I am having trouble extracting links from a web page and it involves javascript running on a website that contains the url links i need. I have encountered this issue before and was able to resolve it by getting the javascript file and then parsing it for the links. However this time I am unable to find the javascript that contains the links.To better clarify here is the source code segment from the web page:
<li><a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="javascript:changeViewMode('Detailed', false); javascript:getTopTenStatsData(this, 'PlayerStats','HR'); javascript:changeMainCategoryLinkClass('liPlayersLink'); ">Highest-Rated Members</a></li>

I'm trying to extract the text fields inbetween the code but the text is always changing so I'm not sure how to keep this dynamic. In put them in to the proper text boxes.
So text box 1 might be Date: then it pulls the date.
and there are multiple listings. so I need it to loop until the end of </table>

I am using a string builder to set up an html table row by row so that it can be emailed. I currently gather my information from the database using a data reader and while dataReader.read, I use stringbuilder.Append to add each cell value to the table.The issue is that after about 200 rows, the html breaks and displays a cell value above the table in the email. I have tried changing the cell padding, but this was not successful.

I would like to print an HTML file that I am generating myself, but I want the pages to have the same table header at the start of each page. I think the best options to print an HTML file is the webbrowser control? but this won't give the table header at the start of each page (and I will have to contend with the ugly file://c:empfile.htm at the top of each page etc)

I'm working with a website written in aspx.net over vb. I have a placeHolder, and I create a table of names inside this PlaceHolder, each name has an HtmlInputCheckBox next to it. Im doing this in the aspx.vb file, when the page is uploading. Then, when the user wants to send mail, he presses a button and than I need to access the checkboxes, and I'm having problems with this, the Sub doesn't know the checkBox object.

I have a html text file and I am trying to remove any HTML tags in tables, i.e. remove any HTML within THE <TABLE> and </TABLE> tags.
However, what's really weird is that the regex that I use, (?<=<table((?!</table).)*)<(?!/table)[^>]+>, works perfectly in PowerGREP or EditPad Pro, however, when applied in vb.NET (or Expresso) to the VERY SAME text, it does NOT work! I just use a simple replace method: newString = Regex.Replace(oldString, "(?<=<table((?!</table).)*)<(?!/table)[^>]+>", string.Empty, RegexOptions.IgnoreCase)?
Below is the example text:
texttexetext
<TABLE>
<TAG1>

I am trying to write a class to serialize/deserialize something as simple as:
<table border="1">
<tr>
<td>row 1, cell 1</td>
[Code]....
I just can't get it to serialize to this thing. I tried to generate the class using xsd but that produced a lot of garbage code and I really would like to maintain this by hand as it is easier than the monstrosity that xsd produced which didn't work anyway.

I'm wanting to extract a table on a regular basis from an HTML web page in to a listview control. Before I start the long winded manual process (which I'm sure I can do, finding strings etc). I was wondering if there was a built-in way with VB.NET?

I'm currently creating a HTML editor using a WebBrowser control and using IHTMLDocument2, but I'm currently having a problem that when I insert a table the user is unable to resize the table columns by dragging the border.
I was wondering whether anyone had done anything similar using IHTMLDocument2 and how I would be able to allow for the user to resize the tables like that. Or if anyone knows any good HTML editors that are written in VB.Net and are open source, unfortunately this is a requirement as I have to do some custom stuff for my customer.
