VB - How To Program A Flow Chart
Mar 21, 2010I have been trying to learn how to program a flow chart and am stumped. I want to know how to get the example code from the book that I got at the library to calculate the outcome. I have been at this for days in my spare time and can't figure it out. I tried to apply the examples to my code and got part of it figured out now I am confused on breaking the code down so that I can assign a room if the age is less than 21. Do I just code it the same but change the greater than less than cymbal? I have attached another photo of the code that I have put in Vb for my forum and came up with it between the example in my book and the examples posted on my post. I am getting errors and don't know why.

Oct 14, 2011I have a chart in Excel that I'd like to use a subtitle on. There is no SubTitle Property on the chart object, so I looked in the Excel User interface and found that you can only create a sub-title by using a text box. The text box looks like its associated with the chart, not the worksheet, so how would I access that text box from code?

Aug 8, 2009So I'm trying out a concept tool of mine where I need to be able to read and write data from a database real easy. I've set up the form as I like and spread around different text boxes and dropdownboxes to read the data from the database. And I've got it all to work and all, but there's a small bug I don't fully understand why's there. Some textboxes don't update the text from the database.
But it seems as it only occurs if the data in the database is nothing. So the value from the last row is still hanging in the textbox and thus, clicking "Update" actually updates the value from the field from the last row, into the new row. Messing everything up.

Jan 26, 2009In the Designer of my forms I usually have this for Singleton purposes.[code]Is there any hack in the IDE that would let me just press a button or something and it will automatically add the code I have above to the selected Designer?I can always type or copy/paste/modify it but I thought there could be something that I could set to just automate this redundant task.

Mar 11, 2010Like I imagine everyone, I often have problems navigating my code because the flow can jump from place to place. For example, if my code calls routine1, and I then want to go to routine1's code, I know that I can click in the dropdown menu and it will take me to that sub. But wouldn't it be easier if I could somehow right click on the call to routine way and select something like 'take me there' which would transport me from the function making the call to the code for the function being called? Then it would be easy to hop from place to place.

To date all my MS Charting experience has been dealing with ASP.Net charts with static sql select statment to a SQL Database. In the new project that I have been assigned I have different cities with different amounts of points that they want monitored. One city might have 3 an another might have 5 or 7 so I can't hard code the amount of series that I need. It needs to be set up so the amount of series can be flexible depending on the city selected and then display those points on the chart.

Also, if I try and do multiple lines it does not always work out very well. I tried different ColumnLabels and they behave very strange as well. What I want is to be able to have several lines. Mar 12, 2010I'm having problem with MS Chart chart type column. If there are only 9 bar in the chart like the following picture, then the axis-x label show up properly.
However, there are more than 9 bars bar the chart, the axis-x label wont show up properly, some of them just dissappear.

May 23, 2012that is a question I have been asking myself for a while.Giving a certain flow of events, can I when handling one of them, stop the next ones to be raised? For example, when collapsing a node which child was selected in a treeview (winform), the events are raised like that:[code]I could stop them by using a class member, but I was wondering whether there was a built-in function or just another way (a more elegant way) to achieve this, by acting directly on the events queue.
