how to suppress the dialogue of "Choose a digital certificate" in VB .NET when opening a HTTPS using Webbrowser control?I am writing a program to authenticate on some Firewalls via HTTPS links opened in a webbrowser on VB.NET form.Every time, that window pops up showing an empty list, asking for OK or Cancel, pressing any button on the dialogue, closes the it and continuing by authentication.Is there a way to automate accepting/closing/suppressing such a dialogue in VB.NET?

Is there a collection or property somewhere to determine the certificate properties that is in used with the current browser?
If I right-click on the browser object on the VB form, I can see the properties and see the certificates, etc. But is there a way to programatically get to that point? Not seeing anything clearly marked. Not sure if it isn't exposed or if I'm just not seeing it.

I went to load an app I was working on before my system died a few days back and I loaded up VB Express 2010 .Net, opened my project and saw this error ...

If this is related to the Security Certificates stored by XP, then I'm in trouble as they are GONE. Must I start a new project and rebuild this whole app?

I am having an issue getting the below error. This error is in a small mail app using smtpClient. I had this working on this same computer but had to reformat and now I am getting the error. I would like to generate some custom dialog boxes that I can call from anywhere in my project.
The easiest example I can give is of a form that waits for two numbers to be entered then returns their sum. I want to call it like a function ie. sum = add_two_numbers( " Enter the numbers you want to add then click add)This is not what I actually want to do, that is far more complex, this just a simple way to explain what I want to do. If I can do this I can do what I really want.
Essentially I want forms that will accept some input, process it and return a string. A bit like an input inputbox, an openfiledialog box or a fontdialog box. I also need to pass strings to it.I can do it if I use a function declared in a module which calls the form and then returns the value once it is calculated but isn't there a simpler more elegant method?

This save file dialogue works fine except when they click save, the dialogue opens and then they close the dialogue. when they close it, my program crashes, every time. i'm using this to save it

I need more then 1 (MS-SQL) connection string/configuration, depending on the current running configuration (Development, Production, offline etc.)How could I declare these connection strings in advance (Proj.Settings) and tell the application which one to use without the need to compile the program.Using a command-line argument is an option but still unconvenient.I know .NET/ASP has an 'outside' non-comipied config file used by the application which you can modify.

I have a problem with a combobox. I have a form (with information about clients) with textboxes binded to a dataview. One of the columns in the dataview contains a number that tells me what kind of client it is. I don't my users want that my users have to fill in a number in a textbox, but I want them to choose a item from a combobox. De selected value should be the value that is actually saved in the database.

De Datasource is the information in my combobox. With Databindings I'm trying to bind it to my dataset (or view, that doesn't work either) with clients. Every time I get a NullReferenceExeption. The moment I remove the line cbo.DataSource = dsRelatie.Tables("Relatiesoort"), I don't get an error, but it doesn't work either.
That dataset is filled (I've checked) and also the derived view. The column Relatiesoort exists. What do I have to do to make it possible for my users to choose an item from a combobox and save the selected value to the underlying dataset?

I am currently working on a family project which is based on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" show. There is a huge diffrence between the show and my project. My project is a christmas edition and the goal is not to get money or something, since I will not add it... Erhmm... Let me get to the point. I have already designed a layout and scripted some things. I have about thirty questions but I do not want them to always spawn in the same array, if you know what I mean. We have somewhat bureaucratic way of making new users to our system. I noticed I had to write same info over and over again to different places (such as AD and our databases). So I desided to make a little application that inserts the info to all the right places with one click. Now I can create new user with one form and push of a button except the client certificate. For that I must login to our certserv and fill in a form.
Is there an easy way to make client sertificate request to the certserv so that it would give me the certificate automatically? I tried to google about it and got some info about the system.security.cryptography, but got stuck before getting any near of requesting new certificate.

I need to login into a secure site and download a zip file.I am using vbscript code and able to login into the target link. But after I log in file download dialogue box appears on the screen asking for open, save or cancel options.Is there a way, some internet settings or any kind of code, to disable this dialogue box.I want to automate the whole process from logging in till file is downloaded. I tried adding the site in trustedlist, disable download prompt in security but nothing worked.

I am using the Folder Browser Dialogue to allow the EU to select a folder for HTML output. The dialogue always shows in the middle of the screen. Is it possible to set where the dialogue appears?It currently overlaps an image which is expoted to HTML, however when this image is exported, it captures part of the folder dialogue box. The image export routine is 3rd party and uses layers so I can not change the export function.Or is it possible to check the dialogue has closed prior to me performing the image export?

i am trying to get the salaries of different employees using a dialogue box.As shown in the code below, I grab the salary from the dialogue box and pass it to a method (GetReading) in the Employee class. I would like the method to return true if the current salary entered is greater than the previous salary entered. If false, to display the dialogue box again for a valid salary to be entered.

I am trying to get OpenSSL.net to 1) create a key pair to use for CA signing and 2) create and sign certificates using this CA. I have managed to create an RSA/SHA1 X509CertificateAuthority, and have created a X509Request and keys, but I am running into problems actually signing the request.

And I want to know how can I read that value from my .NET code (I looked that I can get SerialNumber, Thumbprints and others but there is no Subject UID anywhere).

I try to run my Authenticode signed app on a clean Vista PC (not internet connection available ever). I have a look in Internet Explorer if the root certificate (Trustcenter) is there, and it is not. I get the message that the reference could not be resolved, and when I click file properties and have a look at the certificate, it says "The certificate for the signature could not be confirmed". Is that a normal behaviour? I mean does the computer need to have the root certificate from Trustcenter installed?
