i am choosing a flight that i want and then the system will go tho another form where it will show the details about the flight in datagridview..after we choose which flight to take there is 2 combobox where u can choose hw many adult and hw many child...at last there is a calculate button where it calculate the total price...the peradult price n perchild price will b stated at datagridview....the total price calculated will b displayed in a textbox...

I am currently working on a school database that I am having troubles with. I have the Table Adapters, Binding Source, and DataGridView all working, along with the Insert, Update and Delete Commands. I have the user open up the SubjectForm. On this form the user is looking at a DataGridView of the subjects table and everything that is in it. When the user clicks add new on the right side, it opens up a new form called AddNewSubject. When the user gets done adding the new subject in, a dialog box appears and says that the subject was added successfully. After the user clicks exit, it takes them right back to the SubjectForm where the DataGridView is. My question is, how do I update the data in that grid so that after the user clicks exit on the AddSubject Form, the new data will appear in the grid? I have tried a combination of things and they haven't worked. I will add my code at the bottom.[code]....

I need more then 1 (MS-SQL) connection string/configuration, depending on the current running configuration (Development, Production, offline etc.)How could I declare these connection strings in advance (Proj.Settings) and tell the application which one to use without the need to compile the program.Using a command-line argument is an option but still unconvenient.I know .NET/ASP has an 'outside' non-comipied config file used by the application which you can modify.

how to suppress the dialogue of "Choose a digital certificate" in VB .NET when opening a HTTPS using Webbrowser control?I am writing a program to authenticate on some Firewalls via HTTPS links opened in a webbrowser on VB.NET form.Every time, that window pops up showing an empty list, asking for OK or Cancel, pressing any button on the dialogue, closes the it and continuing by authentication.Is there a way to automate accepting/closing/suppressing such a dialogue in VB.NET?

I've searched for the solution for this however 'answers'i've found have perhaps been a little more than I've needed. basically i have 2 textboxes on my form, 'textbox1' is populated by a value from a database, say.. 200.00 on form load. 'textbox2' needs to accept a users value (say 50.00) and then add/subtract that from the value in 'textbox1' when the form's refreshed/submitted/whatever
whats the syntax involved in this process, i've seen efforts involving parse, 'Cint' etc but need to check there isn't some ridiculously easy way of doing this..

I have a problem with a combobox. I have a form (with information about clients) with textboxes binded to a dataview. One of the columns in the dataview contains a number that tells me what kind of client it is. I don't my users want that my users have to fill in a number in a textbox, but I want them to choose a item from a combobox. De selected value should be the value that is actually saved in the database.

De Datasource is the information in my combobox. With Databindings I'm trying to bind it to my dataset (or view, that doesn't work either) with clients. Every time I get a NullReferenceExeption. The moment I remove the line cbo.DataSource = dsRelatie.Tables("Relatiesoort"), I don't get an error, but it doesn't work either.
That dataset is filled (I've checked) and also the derived view. The column Relatiesoort exists. What do I have to do to make it possible for my users to choose an item from a combobox and save the selected value to the underlying dataset?

I have DataTable, and is bound to DataGridView. So, when the user inputs some values in 4 columns, it would calculate the sum and put it in the last 2nd last column.

We have an application that has a main form with a map on it. Right now the paradigm is to have forms that are displayed using menu items to display information to the user. Most of these forms are modal forms, but a couple are non-modal forms that interact with the map. For some of the forms, it really would make for a better user experience if we could dock them in the main form of the app and allow the user to see both the form and the map. For instance. We could have a list of map features in a docked window, and select one of the items on the list and have the map zoom to that feature. Or do the reverse: let the users select a map item and have a docked window that shows details of the feature. Sounds great, but I wonder about what sort of gotchas we may encounter. In particular, what if we have two windows docked at the same time? Could we get tangled up in our event code?

i have 2 list boxes.. Qty and Cost both of these are populated from a sql database. The code is suppose to read through the listboxes and multiple the Cost by the Qty and then replace the Cost with the new result. The Cost listbox is populated with the cost of one item. The reason i am not doing this calculation in the sql query is because the sql query is very complicated filter out a bunch of stuff to show just the qty of the item...

I've spent the last three day on this. Hope someone can shed some light on the problem.I have a datagridview I which to total a column and place in a textbox. with the coding below I do get the first number and it is place correctly in the textbox but when I complete the data row and move to the next, I receive the following error. "object cannot be cast from DBNull to other type." Read and tried a lot of ideas on line , could not get any of them to work.

I'm getting a little fustrated, ive been trying to figure out how to allow my main from access to a sub form. what I'm initially aiming for is control of text and font color via a dialog on the main form and the results to appear on the second form, if that makes sense. Most of my knowlege resides around using VB.net for creating games and not progams. ill post the code so you guys might be able to get a better understanding of what im looking for as a result.

I am currently working on a family project which is based on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" show. There is a huge diffrence between the show and my project. My project is a christmas edition and the goal is not to get money or something, since I will not add it... Erhmm... Let me get to the point. I have already designed a layout and scripted some things. I have about thirty questions but I do not want them to always spawn in the same array, if you know what I mean. I want the program to randomly choose one of those thirty questions and NEVER choose the same question in the same program run. By the way, there are four options on my project: A, B, C and D. I have got everything, I just need a code.

I was doing some refreshing on my VB.NET skills by working on a little project for a friend of mine. This program loads class information from a database on her college classes and is going to allow her to select classes to add and create her schedule for the next year. We are displaying the data in datagridviews. What I am currently having trouble with is getting the data from the one classDataGridView to transfer over to scheduleDataGridView. I am able to copy the selected data to a variable, my only problem is then getting to assign that variable in to a cell in the 2nd datagridview.Here is my current code for copying and transferring the data, it is being accessed in a button_click event.
