have the following code, it works sometimes but other times when a form is minimized/Restored Down it will freeze, doesn't produce an actual error in VS but just freezes and does nothing..
The code captures a current form, the forms title, process id, a pixel color etc

I have a form with multiple textboxes and I want the text from the text boxes to append to the current information I have in my dataGridView. How can I accomplish this? I have tried placing the text boxes information in a generic list but I can't achieve passing the list to my function...

why I can capture the current form sometimes and then other times it wont capture a current form depending on the appllication that is running the form. Is there a way that applications can hide from having a screen capture as it only works with certain applications, for example the visual studio forms, explorer or firefox browser, any windows form etc it works fine. I am able to pick up the thread and title name of any form but can't capture every form, some are dismissed.

I have two list boxes. A users selects a value from each, clicks a button and the application creates a relationship between the two selected items by saving them in an array and displaying the relationship in a third list box.
What I want to allow is for users to be able to drag a value from one list box and drop it on top of another value. I have the code to capture the value of the item dragged but I don't see how to capture the item that the data is dropped onto.
Is there a way to capture the targeted selected item?
I am trying to do is fill out a form with certain info, put the info into an array, and write it to a listbox using loops, arrays, and maybe a function if I need one. View 2 RepliesI'm working a program where I need to capture the mouse down even at the form level. I need this to happen regardless of where the mouse is clicked. The standard mouse event (see below) works fine if the mouse isn't over a control. However, when the mouse is over a control, the control gets the event before the form. I can generate an event to capture the mouse event for every control and the pass the event on, but that is ugly and requires way to much maintenance. Isn't there a way to tell vb that all mouse events go to the form?

I need to be able to grab each path seperately without having to get the user to select a particular item so i can do a batch of all the paths selected.
i am currently working on a form that looks like this: When i click on any textboxes under Plan Code, the plan form will pop up. When i click on a field in lbType, field will appear in my lbCode. When i click on a field lbCode, i want to be able to insert information into the textboxes.
The problem i have is that i can only get the form to work for the first row of textboxes. Because my code looks like -

You will see that I have got a combobox for member at the top. What I want is when the "new" button gets clicked then I can add the desired information then click "Ok buttton which will then save the information.
I want to be able to select members from the combobox after multiple have been recorded to be able to delete or edit them. I have got as far as "changing" the combobox to a textbox for input purposes. I have tried a few attempts to get it. I am getting "ConfigurationErrorsException was unhandled"
It has the ability to recursively grab all .wmv and .mp3 files in any chosen folder, and add them to a playlist.When opening the playlist, my program adds all the songs to an array, then starts adding the songs to a listview, categorizing them by song, artist, album, and genre, using a dll to access the ID3v1 tags on the .mp3 file.It can successfully create playlists of thousands of songs at a somewhat okay speed, the problem is loading that into the categorized listview.It used around 75% of my friend's CPU while loading his 5k+ song playlist into the listview, and it never finished after loading it in for a couple minutes (it auto updates as it loads, because it is done in a new thread.) It never finished because his OS has a bug where, if the CPU usage is over 100% for more then a few mins, it BSOD's, but that's beside the point.
His CPU, by the way, is a quad core 2.33 GHZ processor.The listview loads thousands of songs by using a lot of CPU [low amount of RAM, less then 40MB 99% of the time], and it does it slowly. [code]I've already redone the sub once or twice to speed it up, and at the moment it's 2-3.,

I'm trying to make a simple game, but i have a question.i have a minimum damage and maximum damage lbl boxes on 1 form and i have a button if clicked it opens a 2nd form with buttons that deal "damage" when clicked
1. Attack (a regular attack that would deal the damage from form 1)
2. another attack ( this deals damage from form1 + 8)
3. another attack ( deals 30% damage for 4 attacks [so 4 attacks that deals 30% damage each])
4. another attack ( this one is great. it deals damage of 2 times of minimum damage to maximum damage and a third label box lblAP (attack power) which each 2 points of attack power you have it adds 1 more damage.)
i can do that math i just have no clue how to bring the info from form 1 to form 2.

lblStatus is the label which will display the current status. But.. while user click the button, "Verifying Data File" is not displaying. After the system complete the whole progress, lblStatus only display the text.
When I use
Me.Close()
Form1.Show()
It closes the whole app.
