I am working on a Notepad like text editor and I'm trying to put an Undo function in it. When you click the undo menu, I want to simply undo the last action (added char, removed char, paste, delete...). It doesn't have do remember all the past actions, I just want it to undo the last action even if the last one was undo... For now I have a button in a tool strip menu (tsmAnnuler) and my richtextbox (rtbZoneTexte).

That is why I have started to search for commercial tools/components, but I could find such tools only for RealBasic, not for VB.net. My Problem is, that I have some Buttons, Labels and TextBoxes I need to generate after the User told a number of Players. With the Code I'm using now only the last Player will have these Controls working, because they are moved - for example - from Player 1 to Player 3. how to create such a ControlArray The biggest Problem I have is, that these buttons have to have names like "1", "2", "3" and so on (or if it works somehow to read out the Index of a ControlArray the names will not be necessary).
This is the code I am using right now to generate the Controls, but as you see it won't work, because the properties will be changed when the For-Function restarts.What I need is a hint on how to get these Controls/Buttons into a Control-Array and then read out the Index-Number to use them in the Functions that are called.

Trying to imitate a Messagebox - in that, a sub will not continue until the user "deals with" the pop up.
For example, in a sub, I want a Form to pop up, and ask a user a question, and give them 3 options. I want to make it so the user must click an option, and then the sub that called it can carry on it's way.
I believe I need a function to make this happen.
Basically, I want to create a timer for each row of data that will get returned by a SQL query:

I would want the timers to be called "Compteur" & ROWID. This really is necessary.I need them to have different Ticks and so that some can be enabled all at once. Basically it is for a project tracker to count the time you are working on the current project. However you could indeed work on many project at the same time.
If I have a large number of classes, each similar to the other in certain aspects (they all share a common base class, but each does things differently), and I need to create Windows forms for each to allow easy changing of their values through a GUI? Create one matching form for each object in VS' forms designer, Or Use code to create the forms dynamically at runtime.
#2 makes the most sense to me, because a lot of these objects will share very common features of the form, notably "Ok" and "Cancel" buttons. But one object might need to draw a textbox on the form while another might need to draw a combobox. Not to mention, if I want to put icons on the "Ok" and "Cancel" buttons, I'd have to do this for each copy of the form in designer, and that sounds like it could get out of hand quickly.But is drawing forms through code sane? VS' forms designer is pretty sophisticated and designed to make life easier. Am I wise to consider ignoring its functionality and diving into the trench warfare of forms design through code? Or are there examples of automating form creation based on an existing object's properties?
I have create a CMS to upload all image to a folder using ed all my images to a folder using,

The javascript wizards display the code required to put in their own sites. I already created wizards that users can well, use.I see people have their own "contact form wizards" on their websites all the time. Where users can use the wizard and get the displayed code to copy and paste on their sites. But trying to locate source codes to these things is very aggravating on the web.So what I want to do is create my own "form wizard" like out of javascript, that allows the user to put in some information then get the displayed code to put in their own websites. I'm not looking for the generator such as the online form generators.But the javascript source code(s) for the generator itself.Then I could simply put a form generator inside of my VB-app, that will allow the user to use the wizard, then get the html code to paste in their own sites. Preferably not the PHP one because the php backend is very difficult to put in a VB app.I know that it can be done. For example copying a web pages source code then putting it inside a string, then calling that string from a button click that will open the javascript page in the webbrowser inside the VB app.

I have a Data Entry form. I wanted to make the Enter key work like TAB key so that if a user presses Enter key, the next control should get the focus key.
For this, I used the Forms KeyPreview on and Form's KeyUp Event to trap the Enter key and used the SendKeys.Send("{TAB}"). The problem is that to open this form there is a MenuToolStripItem. If Selects this MenuToolStripItem by pressing enter (not mouse click), this Enter key is processed by the DataEntry Forms KeyUp event and the focus goes to the second object instead of the first one.
Another problem is that .. suppose there is a textbox TaxType. if user Types 1 and press Enter, It should jump to the VAT textbox. for this i used Vattextbox.focus event if the of TaxType.Valideted event. But the focus moves to the next control after VATtextbox. alternatively if user presses TAB in TaxType textbox then it goes properly to VATtextbox.
I am facing this problem every time where i need to make Enter key work as TAB since long time.
Has any one experienced this. Never seen it before. Anchoring a Toolstrip Left,Top,Right will resize the strip with out the option of stepping back and undoing it. Forces rolling back the application. Toolstrip is docked at the bottom.

i am trying to make a really simple program to start with .It is for keeping score in a card game. The functionality of the program is 10 buttons(cards) that when you click them they dissapear and 4 buttons that when you click them they add or remove 1 point to two textboxs and one reset button that when you click it it resets everything.
I have done everything but now i want to make a undo button because when you missclick something it is really annoying you have to reset the whole thing and remember what exactly you had pressed before and this is not what i want. I googled a lot,i read a lot of threads here and in other forums but i mostly found web browsers undo buttons or i didnt understand what to do.
i need this option for a textbox. the undo/redo in two separate buttons and it should be for multiple times not just once.[code]

View 19 RepliesI'm trying to setup undo/redo for changes to a datagridview, but am having a problem with capturing the cell value before it is changed. I am currently using the CellEnter event to capture the original value, which is fine if only one cell is affected. However, if the user selects multiple cells and goes to cut the data (Ctrl-X), CellEnter does not fire for each of the selected sells, only the ones moused over it seems. Is there a better way to capture each cell value before their CellValueChanged event fires?
