View 11 RepliesI am working on a Notepad like text editor and I'm trying to put an Undo function in it. When you click the undo menu, I want to simply undo the last action (added char, removed char, paste, delete...). It doesn't have do remember all the past actions, I just want it to undo the last action even if the last one was undo... For now I have a button in a tool strip menu (tsmAnnuler) and my richtextbox (rtbZoneTexte).
View 2 Repliesi have written code for undo and redo operations code for undo operation
[Code]...
now when i rotate the picture then tries to undo the image then this erorr comes Stack is Empty and program closes.
I have a form with a FileListBox and 2 Button:... Button1 I would like To Undo my Last Action:...Button2 I would like to redo the Action, I have Been Looking For a code for These Buttons. In FileListBox I am Drilling Down through my files. So that Means if I double click on a file in FileListBox and I have gone to far I want the Undo Button (Button1) to show Previous Files that where shown).
View 6 Repliesi am trying to make a really simple program to start with .It is for keeping score in a card game. The functionality of the program is 10 buttons(cards) that when you click them they dissapear and 4 buttons that when you click them they add or remove 1 point to two textboxs and one reset button that when you click it it resets everything.
I have done everything but now i want to make a undo button because when you missclick something it is really annoying you have to reset the whole thing and remember what exactly you had pressed before and this is not what i want. I googled a lot,i read a lot of threads here and in other forums but i mostly found web browsers undo buttons or i didnt understand what to do.
After a rtf. file is loaded in richtextbox....then the user highlights the text with different colors. How can I set both redo and undo button to backward and forward the steps(only the part of higtlighting)?
View 19 RepliesI have created a game in VB.net 2005 that is very much like Sudoku. When the user clicks a button its number content increases by 1, when the user clicks the check button it gives them an error if incorrect, win if not. I need that same check button to apply the next action. I need to undo the last button click by the user when check is clicked. I know I need to build a container or something to record the button clicks and somehow draw on that when needed. hat I am even looking for, an 'undo' search returns nothing close to what I need.
View 7 RepliesMy aim is to have a textbox in which a page of information is already written for the user to read. This box will have a vertical scrollbar, so I can't simply superimpose a button over the textbox. What I would like is to be able to have certain words underlined and in a different text colour (similar to a hyperlink), which, when clicked, will throw up a pop-up box.The purpose is to create a glossary such that if a new word is used in the textbox, I can allow the user to click on it
View 4 RepliesIf I have a large number of classes, each similar to the other in certain aspects (they all share a common base class, but each does things differently), and I need to create Windows forms for each to allow easy changing of their values through a GUI? Create one matching form for each object in VS' forms designer, Or Use code to create the forms dynamically at runtime.
#2 makes the most sense to me, because a lot of these objects will share very common features of the form, notably "Ok" and "Cancel" buttons. But one object might need to draw a textbox on the form while another might need to draw a combobox. Not to mention, if I want to put icons on the "Ok" and "Cancel" buttons, I'd have to do this for each copy of the form in designer, and that sounds like it could get out of hand quickly. But is drawing forms through code sane? VS' forms designer is pretty sophisticated and designed to make life easier. Am I wise to consider ignoring its functionality and diving into the trench warfare of forms design through code? Or are there examples of automating form creation based on an existing object's properties?
What control should i use if i want a button with default text on it and when i press on it, it give a drop down menu that i can select different commands. I tried a combobox which seems to be very close to what i want. i set the dropdownstyle to dropdownlist so it looks like a button. but i cant seem to set a default text on the box and i dont want this text to be in the item list. also when i set the dropdownwidth to a value larger than the combobox width, it will align left.
View 4 RepliesI just want a program compiled in Visual Basic 2008. which can just submit a form of only one field. the form is already uploaded to the server but i don't want to go to that url every time to do so.What I want here, just to open application and fill that field and submit. Is this possible in visual basic 2008?Also let me know how to create a button that can rapidly submit the form repeatly untill the second button named cancel is pressed.
field name of that form is "msisdn" and the action on submit button is post method and url in target is url...
I am trying to create a button so when a user hovers over the button it will change its image.
I used this code but it did not work.
VB
Private Sub Button1_MouseHover(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
Dim Image0 As Bitmap = My.Resources.Image2

How to create a data forms with the data forms wizard in VB 2005
View 6 Replies1. Something similarly I want with another button - when I click button2, I want to remove specific object - let say panel2, not hide it.
2. The second thing is that I want to put text from my textbox into excel, but in specific row. I would like to do that with word file as well. I would like to put text form my textbox in specific table, or row, or line. I only know to put text into a file.
I've designed my own encryption application in VB 2008 that has a free tools section where users can choose a particular wizard to use from the drop down. The javascript wizards display the code required to put in their own sites. I already created wizards that users can well, use.I see people have their own "contact form wizards" on their websites all the time. Where users can use the wizard and get the displayed code to copy and paste on their sites. But trying to locate source codes to these things is very aggravating on the web.So what I want to do is create my own "form wizard" like out of javascript, that allows the user to put in some information then get the displayed code to put in their own websites. I'm not looking for the generator such as the online form generators. But the javascript source code(s) for the generator itself. Then I could simply put a form generator inside of my VB-app, that will allow the user to use the wizard, then get the html code to paste in their own sites. Preferably not the PHP one because the php backend is very difficult to put in a VB app.I know that it can be done. For example copying a web pages source code then putting it inside a string, then calling that string from a button click that will open the javascript page in the webbrowser inside the VB app.
View 2 RepliesI am not a new coder, but i am not a know-it-all. I have been watching some of those NVidia fluid videos, and got jealous. I thought "Why can't i do it?" I'm not good enough for OpenGL or some other 3d engine, but i thought i would try it in 2d.

View 7 RepliesI am working with a registry watcher but I can't block changes. I found this link [URL] but unfortunately one of the links posted was broken maybe because it was posted years ago. I tried searching for "undo file changes" on VB.NET using search engines but I can't find any.I am using VS2008 Express ed.
View 5 RepliesHow does the "Undo" operation work? Not looking for a specific code, I am just curious to how it works.

View 1 RepliesI want to put undo in a small program
View 10 RepliesI'm implementing multi-level undo/redo via a pair of stacks. This works well, but I'd like to limit the number of undo actions (actually objects representing the state of the application) . Once the limit of actions in the stack has been reached, I want to keep adding actions to the stack, but get rid of the oldest (bottom) items as I go.
View 3 RepliesI understand that implementing an UnDo/ReDo function can be complex using Stack operation/XML serialization.
That is why I have started to search for commercial tools/components, but I could find such tools only for RealBasic, not for VB.net. Does anyone know where to get such tool/component, or has good example code to include various undoable operation into an Undo/Redo function, that means undo operation for datagrid and chart manipulation (similar to a spreadsheet application).
I'm try to use the richtextbox undo method but when i use it the whole string is been deleted and not the last character
View 2 Repliesso i have 5 buttons and 5 labels.
when i press button 1 a "1" appears on label1.
now if i press button 1 three times, button 2 one time, button 5 four times, but the last press was wrong so i need to undo. i create a new button named undo, what would the code be for taking away like i said, not just for button5, for every button i set out but the undo button?
I am busy with a Windows Forms application. The purpose of the application is to convert Excel documents to HTML format so that they can be published to a website.I have most of the code finished and the application is looking really good.I have although encountered a problem. On the Form I have created an Export, File and Edit button. With the edit button I would like the user to be able to select whether they would like to save the 1st,2nd,3rd sheet and so forth.
I would like to create a window/Form within the edit button that would say something like "select excel sheet" along with a save button where the required sheet number could be saved or selected as a standard save procedure everytime.I know that I need to do this with the settings.settings control. I have tried numerous ideas up until now but it continues to baffle me.
I want to create something like this in vb.net I have a Button called "btn1" on my Form called "frmMain".
In btn1_Click() event
'Check if btn2 exists
'If not then
'Code for Creating btn2 just below btn1
'End if
End Sub
[Code]...
Has any one experienced this. Never seen it before. Anchoring a Toolstrip Left,Top,Right will resize the strip with out the option of stepping back and undoing it. Forces rolling back the application. Toolstrip is docked at the bottom.
