i know how to toggle a button background color when i click on another button? That means i have two buttons on a window form and when i click on button A, button B will toggle its own background color based on the click event in button A.

(I'm a VB beginner, for the record : ) I am working on a form of an application. The form calls a table that contains fields. The I manually altered the column properties of the table to "Read Only". I have successfully converted the FullCalendar into asp.net / VB and it works perfectly. I am struggling to change the background colour of an event based on a SQL query. I have tried many of the links on StackOverflow and on the Full Calendar Docs [URL] but I have barely any knowledge of jQuery/Javascript so this is proving very difficult for me.I have 5 Employees and I would like each of them to have a unique colour on the Calendar. In my SQL table there is a SalesPersonID field for each employee. I want to change the colour based on the ID. e.g.: (I know this will not work in this scenario, it is purely for info)

I'm making kind of home autmation system with a usb interface card.8 digital & 8 analog inputs and 8 digital & 8 analog outputs.The status of the inputs is refreshed with a timer.tick and written to variable.Now the problem.I want to make an digital output active when a button(real button, not a switch) is pushed and when it is pushed again the output should be set to non active.

I created a function that retrieves information on which checkboxes are checked. It returns an array which the information coupled to the checking of those checkboxes. Those checkboxes and the matching textboxes are dynamically created at runtime in that same function. I'm pausing the application to wait for a button to be pressed. I'm trying to find a way to use btnDone.Click event directly because the code always reloops my function once more recreating the controls.

I am trying to write a program using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition that will automaticlay generate multiple Command Buttons that have different Texts and perform different commands.For example I want to generate Button_1 and Button_2 where Button_1 when clicked enters the value "1" into a textbox and Button_2 enters the value "2" into the same textbox.I know this can be simple done by using the designer and wirting the code in the Button_1_Click, but what I want to eventually achieve is for various buttons to be generated across different Tabs in a TabControl.So far I can create a button on a windows form using code, but the button has no purpose so command is assigned to it. View 2 RepliesI have a basic window that has 20 buttons (One, Two,.....,Twenty).Currently if you click on a button its background color changes, and changes back on next click.I'm looking for a way to make it so when the mouse button is held down I can drag across the screen and it will change every button I hit.Disregard the "Shut Down", "Restart", "LogOff", "Clear", and "Invert" buttons. This idea doesn't apply to them.
View 5 RepliesI am new to VB.NET, Now i'm working with Events in VB.NET, I have two event methods, Mouse Click and Mouse Down for a single button in a form, I have displyed a message in each of these methods but only mouse down event is triggered. Why Mouse Click is not triggered? Similiarly I Did the same for Mouse Enter and Mouse Move for a particular button, in this case both the events are triggered.

View 2 RepliesI have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.
View 2 RepliesI want to create a server control that inherits System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button but gives it special capability, now what do i mean? i want my button to be a confiorm button that will work like so:
Renders to the page as a button of lets say cancel after the user clicks it i want to catch the click event (within the server control) and now after the click makeing the button not visible and makeing some kind of content placeholder (that will render from the server control) visible. that content place holder will have 2 buttons inside of it: yes and cancel. I want the programmer that adds this control to be able to register a function to the click event of the yes button. and the second cancel confirmation button should make the first button appear agian. (i know how to do this all in the client side but this time i need it all as server events)
My question is this: how do i catch the click event? i want it all to be handled inside the server control itself. so a programmer that adds this control wont have to worry about anything but just needs to register to the click event of the "yes" button.
Can i Know how to catch between these 2 event, Leave and Click?
I have one checking in a textbox Leave event. I will go check whether this ID is already exist in DB or not. If exist, I will prompt MSG box to user.
When I click on Close button while focus is on textbox, this textbox Leave Event will trigger first before Button Click event.
So, the form remains open without trigger Button Click event.
how to prevent this textbox leave event or how can i catch/control this situation?

View 1 RepliesI believe there wont be any diff if user clicks the button on the form and the click event is fired OR if we call the button click event / function in the code. Because in one my project, this does make diff. If I click the button on the form, the App works great but same button if I click it thru the form code, the whole process crashes. This happens in Vista / VB.net.

View 1 Repliesthere is 1 problem that i keep trying to sort out but cant quite do it, this is in a form is there a way to make the background to it transparent? thus see all the pictureboxes, buttons, labels,etc. inside the form but not the form itself? the only things i can think of is opacity and visible however those just don't show anything in the form at all. if I try change the backcolor to transparent it ends up with an error as to what i can understand(correct me if i'm wrong) only controls and childs can have transparent backgrounds.
