Im kinda new to visual basic, and after a days of googling and searching, i havent got answer for this So, i wanna press and HOLD a button down, not just pressing/spamming it fast 200 times. something like sendkeys.send("{HOLD W}"), not like sendkeys.send("{W 200}")Anyone know answer for this? View 1 RepliesI am trying to make a program that will be an auto-run in a game for me, the movement key is W and when i use SendKeys, it just spams W really fast (but with the KeyUps also) so my character just slowly goes and stops goes and stops. Is there a way I can just hold the W key down through VB.NET (such as just placing your finger on a key and holding it down)?

ive been trying for days to try to figure this out out on my own , and im wondering how i can have the user enter a string into a textbox and press a button and have that text appear on a label.
View 1 RepliesI have built a program in where I have to add and remove items from two listboxes. Listbox1 consists of a file which I have picked up on my C:/. Within this file, are different lines of items. At the end of the item line is a figure. I have a textbox in where when someone adds the an item from listbox1 to listbox2. On clicking the add button, it will add the total which was in the file. If I add more items, it will give me a running total of the items I have added to listbox2.
Now, I'm bamboozled in how to subtract the items from listbox2 with the remove button. So that when a user wants to remove an item that they currently placed in Listbox2. On pressing remove it will subtract the running total from the item which has been removed.. Here is my code in where I add products to the textbox. I have two other text boxes which I use to have these running totals. FYI, Textbox where value is outputted is Textbox5. Textbox6 is used to refresh the data and the other textbox is named 'Total'.

I have just started using vb.net and I have a checked list box with times throughout the day shown as
00:00 - 00:14
00:15 - 00:29
00:30 - 00:44
00:45 - 00:59
What I am trying to find is a way to get the current time and find which list item it fits into. What I think I need to do is to first of all get the current time and then go through the list splitting each item into 2 times and seeing if the current time fits. For example: Split the item 00:00 - 00:14 to 00:00 and 00:14 and then check if the current time is more than 00:00:00 but less than 00:14:59 and if so do certain task.how to go about taking each list item and splitting it into 2 separate times so I can check between them?
Using 2 forms how would I click one button, from another form? ie In VB 4,5,6, I would used to do it as:-

I have a form that you can type in a four digit code and press enter and will will run some code on a database. The problem occurs when a user click their 4 digit ID number and then click enter, the next user then comes up, types their 4 digit ID on the number pad and when they press enter it runs the code twice (this is due to the fact that the enter button has focus, meaning i intercept the enter, run my code, then the button runs that same code)

View 5 RepliesI have a button in my windows form using vb.net when I actually clicked the button something happen then when I press any keys like enter or space, it focuses on the button since it was clicked and the codes in my button is the one that is executing rather than the codes in my enter or space key. I think it means that the button is being pressed when I hit spacebar and enter because there is a blue border in the button. When I click a button the focus remains on the button. It counts down to 0 and then does a .close(). However, if i pause between clicking the second button they both seem to always disappears at the same time.I would do something like this...

wait about 10 secs...Click on the second button (showing the Frm2 form)they both are shown on screen...hen they both disappear at the same time.... which shouldn't happen since i clicked the Frm2 box 10 seconds AFTER Frm1... So Frm1 should hide before Frm2 does...but it does not.

I have many fields in the page and the last field is a dropdown with list of values. When I select an item in a dropdown and press Enter, it doesn't do the "Ok". Instead I have to manually click on Ok to Submit. How can I do by pressing Enter on my Keyboard rather than Clicking on "Ok" button after selecting the value from dropdown list. The button will be a picture of the specific jungle camp, and when the press/start it, it will start a timer, which will count down to when the jungle camp spawns again. When you press this button, it will change the design of the button to make the picture blurry and add a timer above it, that you can see.

The problem with the code is that I am never able to press Button2. The loop continues and even with an application.doevents, I am unable to press button2 to make bEnd become true and pause the code. Does anyone have an idea of what I could use so that Button2 could be pressed during this event. The idea of multi-threading was tossed around before but I would need some good references to get an idea of how to do it.
