I am using window programming in visual studio(2008) and i am using LINQ and need to get the data from three table's column e.g A table's 1st column(x),b table's 2nd column(y) and c's table third column(z), and then i have to produce the excel sheet(CSV file).I want to get the table's data in string format in visual studio and then produce the excel sheet.I don't want to use Store procedure and grid view in my program.
I need a feedback form for my site.i need the user to write there.
Mail Title Info
And then when they press send then i get a mail to my hidden mail and a confirmation is send to the user mail.I have google the web but cant find any good info about this, i know how to make the form but how do i make the codebehind !?
Do any of u pro. have a link to a great tutorial or have a code that can be used !?
I have a need to send a data table (4kbytest) to an IP addr of 192.168.0.111. I;m usin VB2008 and have access to winsock.dll. My device (digital sign) is connected to the above address. I just need a quick and dirty way to send and receive. My digital signs which I build are connected to a wireless router that all end up at 192.168.0.111. I've done this comm rs232 but never tcpip.
I'm working on a form that has a few data grid views that are populated from LINQ queries, no problem there it works as it should however that sorting does not work. After doing some reading its because LINQ results do not support sorting. As I have the LINQ results already is there a way of copying the results into a dataset or datatable then binding the data grid view to that so sorting will work?
If I'm extending OnCreated for a LINQ to SQL table object, is it possible to get a reference to the data context to which the table belongs? For example, if I add a property to the data context:
Partial Class MyDataContext Private _myValue As String Public ReadOnly Property MyValue As String
[Code].....
I don't want the property on the data context to be Shared, because it could be different per instance. I've been pouring over the designer code to figure out where the reference might be, but no luck yet.
I have an interface 'ICRUDable' and a class called ClientAddress which implements the ICRUDable interface.
My understanding of OOP would lead me to believe that if I declare a System.Data.Linq.Table(Of ICRUDable) then I should be able to put ClientAddress's in there.
The code I have tried includes;
Dim dc As New CRMDataContext Dim items = dc.ClientAddresses and
I am teaching myself vb.net and wanted to change this code to have an embedded mail.boby from a text file instead of the file attachment. Code spippet below and where I need help is mail.Body = ("tracertALL.txt") that just puts the name of the file NOT the contents of the file. This code is a CMDWrapper that runs a batch file and I want the contents of a trace route that is pipe to a file >> tracertALL.txt .
I want to make a app, that asks for the Username and password of the e-mail you enter it, enter subject, then message then send to. And it will send the message from that app thats logged onto your e-mail to them, OR IF THERES A EASIER way let me know.
Imports System.Net.Mail Imports System.Text Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim sendf As New MailAddress("b1nahayat@yahoo.com")
I have a book lending system written with ASP.NET, VB.NET and LINQ to SQL. I want the web app to send the e-mail reminder about the due date to the borrower before the book is over-due. Should I write a desktop app to check the due date or there's another way around to send e-mail reminder?
How to send the email by using the vb.net VS 2008?i'm search from the internet there, so of them may not explain well and detail, so i have to left a message at here and get some information.i only want to send out the message, it seen like only require the SMTP as the outgoing message in vb.net.
MVC3, VB.NET. I have a function in my app that is supposed to use a html file's contents for the email body. However what I have so far is failing at the mail.body = file.readalltext(_body) line..
I tried to accomplish this via a MailMessage.Headers.Set call, in VB.net. See below:
Dim objMail As MailMessage Dim objSMTPClient As SmtpClient objMail = New MailMessage() objSMTPClient = New SmtpClient()
[Code]...
To be clear: I am not doing this with malicious intent. I am working on an e-mail integration component that utilizes both UIDs and a "Last processed" date to locate the first new e-mail to integrate. I want to test cases where multiple e-mails have the exact same date/time - as the e-mail integration module should handle those situations flawlessly. If I could simply fake the date this way, I could send as many e-mails as I wanted that matches a certain date/time, rather than trying to send them with an automated script - hoping they will all be received within the same second.
I've written a testing program where my students write a test and the results are compiled in a text file. The text file is then emailed to me using SMTPServer.send(MyMailMessage). The program works, except that it takes a number of seconds for the email to be sent. The user clicks the next button, which should bring him/her back to my login screen for the next student, but instead it hangs while sending the email. How do I get it to do the emailing in the background, allowing the person to continue using the program?
