View 7 RepliesWhen I launch VB Help and do a search it shows under "Local Help", "Exception from HRESULT:0x8004032E". It lists three results under "MSDN Online", but the large field to the left of it is entirely blank. If I double-click blindly in that blank area it brings up various topics as if they were listed there but invisible. Further, the region under "Contents" is also blank, as is the "Filter by:" field. If I click the down arrow by the "Filter by:" field it brings up an entirely blank menu. If I then click outside the menu box it brings up a message saying "The selected filter contains an error that prevents it from being applied.". What's wrong and how can I fix it?
View 1 RepliesI have been working on a program (obviously) I have several textboxes and a webbrowser. I want this webbrowser to show a preview of what you have so far in these textboxes. Up to now I have:

When I debug it everything is ok until I press preview. I type hello in each of the boxes. By the way all textboxes are small and positioned close together. So I type H in one box E L L O etc and i press preview. And H only appears in the preview. I press preview again then H appears Once Again.
Is it possible to make a preview window that show contents of a file using the default windows program supporting the file format?

I am trying to create a code where I placed sets of numbers in an array.I'll use a masktextbox to have the user enter the numbers to match what's in the array. If the user enters the number, ex: social, and the data is correct (matches the numbers in the array), something happens if the number entered in the masktextbox does not match any of the number sets in an array then another thing happens.The masktextbox so far only validates format and gets number only, however, I want the number entered to match whats in the array.

The remarked area works fine when I'm accessing a specific table. I've successfully inserted the products_model field into the combobox too. The datagridview does show the table names in the db using the SHOW TABLES sql statment, but I'm not understanding how to get this info into the combobox instead.

I want to show an explanation and for the addition and subtraction, I want to show it on a number line. For example, if the problem is 3 - 7, the number line should show and arrow to that goes right to 3, and then left 7 units (starting from 3). Then the student can see that the answer is -4.I could probably do this with some string manipulation, but what would be the easiest way to do it in a picture format? Maybe a bitmap.

I have been dynamically adding user controls to my panel. This user control has a height of 105. If I have my FlowLayoutPanelwidth to only show 1 "column" of controls, it will only display 296 of them. The rest of the controls are grayed out at the bottom of the flowlayoutpanel. If I widen the flp to allow 2 "columns" of controls, I can see 592 of them, with the remainder grayed out at the bottom. I have gone in and resized the user control to make it shorter in height, which works in some respects (i.e. it works when I have two columns, but not just 1), and can go forward with this work-around.
So, I guess my question is, why does the FlowLayoutPanel behave in this fashion? It seems (based on what I saw) that there is a limit to how much data the FLP will show at one time.
I am getting an error that I can't track down.
