HTML Page Shows Up Locally But Not When Published On The Server?

I am creating html code as a string (named htmlString) in a Visual Basic .Net program and want to show the created html as a new page
Dim path As String = Server.MapPath("~/tmp/")
Dim strWriter As StreamWriter = New IO.StreamWriter(path & "SomeHtml.html")
strWriter.Write(htmlString)
strWriter.Close()
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(path & "SomeHtml.html")
This works locally but when published on the server it does not open the html page. (Nothing happens when I click on the button that is supposed to trigger the piece of code to create .html and display it.

how I can get the WebBrowser1 control to display an HTML file stored locally on disk when it launches, similar to a homepage. My attempts have all resulted in failure. I am currently trying the following:

I have a normal winform and I would like to know is there any possibility to generate a html page and to add a css file to the html page from the local folder.
something like this:

How do I do this from the codebehind(logic part)not web application codebehind using webbrowser control.

Unfortunately .DateModified returns the last time that a page was edited instead of when it was last published. I've been looking through the documentation but I haven't been able to find any corresponding properties.

I created a program in MS Visual Web Developer 2010. It has a form that simply launches a script that manipulates a database. The project lives in several files and they are all inherited so they see each other and it accesses a MSSQL Express DB on one of our servers.
When I F5-Run the project locally on my PC it works fabulously. When I copy it to a web-enabled (application) folder on the server it executes but almost my very first line of code fails with this error[code]...

The code works fine when I run it locally, yet as soon as I have uploaded to our dev server it doesnt run, but also doesnt error.I did some research and found that I should have the thread impersonate the WindowsIdentity, which I have done but still the thread does not work, I also tried increasing the max threads in IIS and still nothing.Im running IIS 7.5 on Windows 2008 R2.The method being executed on a new thread is in a class in the App_Code folder and looks like:

I am using a webBrowser control in vs 2008 to be used as a wiziwig editor to edit newsletters, everything works find but when I specify designmode = "On" -Me.webDESIGN.Document.DomDocument.designMode = "On" And try to load the webBrowser control with another newsletter, it comes up with this annoying message "This page has been modified Do you want to save changes". but i got some errors like :

I am able to get ALL id's on the page but I wanted to be able to get this particular string of html

I need to rewrite a number of ActiveX controls as VB.Net UserControls to embed into HTML pages. I have been trying to get a simple example working for the past 2 days with no luck. The control appears to display as a multiline textbox when the the HTML page is rendered in IE7.
I'm using VS 2008, .Net Framework 3.5, VB.Net

I am trying to create a website that will take input from user, and when user clicks submit, it will run the asp.net file which will take the data and place it into a MS Access Table. I have created the html page, the asp.net file and the db. But when user clicks Submit, a pop up comes up that asks user to either open, save or cancel the asp.net file. What am I doing wrong. I created a browser control, and i am able to navigate around fine however, when i do a check on id's on the page, it only seems to get the id's of the very first page i went to.
Our comany has a home grown web app that displays sales orders, and i wanted to make an application that grabs that id's and puts them in a list.I have this working, its just i cant seem to grab the new HTML that is in the browser control.

I am using visual basic 2005. I found on the web the following function that extracts HTML from webpages. It is very useful but unfortunately it does not work with redirected pages. That is, when I put in it a URL of a redirect page it gives me nothing or error. I added to it ".AllowAutoRedirect = True" but still it did not work. I wonder how to make it work for redirected pages.

I am working on my application that I am reading the strings through html page using with httprequest. All I am trying to achieve by find the value using with the matches which come next equals, something is like: "Address=Whateveritgoeshere". So I want to extract to get the strings which it would be: "Whateveritgoeshere"
