So i have a program and pretty much they enter a user name and pw.Then press log in Once they press log in i want a new window to pop up With more stuff i will put in it.The log in user name and pw can be anything.But how can i make it to where once they press login button a new window will pop up and the old one with the log in page will vanish and in the new window ima add more codes

if you guys have used office 2003 or better( i am sure all) then you would have seen that when the help window open it causes the active windows say of MS WORD to change accordingly so that this help windows fits with it along the right side and this functionality i want to implement in my VB windows application and have no idea how to do it Also i have seen this feature in GOOGLE DESKTOP GADGETS...

View 3 RepliesI have a website that upon a person going to it, it checks a timestamp on the database. If the timestamp is over 4 hours old then it opens a popup winodw that runs a database import/update sub that updats the database. Then closes itself out afterward.
The reasoning for doing it this way is it allows the person browsing to continue about their business while a seperate window takes care of the update.
Right now this popup appears as the focus.Is there a way to make the popup load behind the current browser window as to not intrude the users navigation?[code]...

I want to open a new page 'ReportViewerPane' when a row is clicked and pass the report name and some parameters through to the reportviewer.aspx I then need to set the ReportViewer controls .reportpath to the correct (passed through) value and set the parameters values (also passed through).
