Feb 12, 2010I have a media browser program I am building. I am trying to use drag/drop so a user can drag media tracks from one listview to another listview and then use the second list view as a playlist in windows media player com object. Reading at MSDN I have found out that there is no built in support for item re-ordering with the listview control. I have listview1 working correctly but when I try to reorder items in listview2, the dragged item ends up at the end of the list. So basically I need to get the item insertion index corrected. I have tried more than 10 times to get this code right.
Here is my code which includes a form with two listview's.

I have searched over 3x forums for this and cant find any working examples and especially no working VB.NET examples.I know that i have to use the command 'LVM_GETITEMTEXT' with the API Sendmessage but i have no idea how to issue the command and need a working example to go from.

The problem is that I need to be able to access the the value of the uninstallString so that I can pass it to the appropriate process. Since that info is in a separate block, I can't directly access it.

May 27, 2011I am sure this can be done, as Visual Studio is basically built this way. What I want to do is simply make a class that my other workmates can use. But rather than have it in a code form, I want to build it (partially), and then my workmate can add it into their programs (sort of, like the add reference for the .NET stuff).

Apr 12, 2010When i change the view of the listview control to SmallIcon, all items gets misaligned, some overlaps, checkboxes at the very left column are under the border. I found a solution somewhere (though that doesn't changes the check boxes under border issue) to change the view to LargeIcon then SmallIcon, its working but then same problem occurs while sorting items where this solution doesnt helps.I have checkboxes enabled, and already have icons for each listview item.

Recently I installed VB.net 2005 pro i got from school, and i grabbed few source codes that teach show interaction, I feel so dumb, i dont remember anything lol. Nov 11, 2010i have datagridview populated with stock code, name and description.And i have docked my datagridview to the bottom. so whenever the form is resized, the bottom section will be occupied completely with the datagridview.But i want to display one extra empty column and multiple empty rows to completely fill in the datagridview.The extra empty column width will be adjusted to the right end side of datagridview.And the no of empty rows will be generated based on how many is required to fill up to the bottomSo that i can create datagridview with full column and row even though some columns or rows are empty.
