Will not allow me to change the fore color of my text in my text box
How to set fore colors in text addition in Rich Text Boxes?
View 5 RepliesSo I have a Vertical Scroll which enables you to change the Foreground color of the highlighted text inside the Rich TextBox. Here is the code of the Vertical scroll named Vscrollbar1:
RichTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.FromArgb(VScrollBar1.Value)
It does indeed work. Then I have a button that makes the Rich Textbox not Visible. Using Richtextbox1.visible=False Then I have an open button, which makes it Visible again. But what I wanted is that the text inside the Rich Textbox to be color Black; but the color of the from the scroll keeps appearing. Here is my code for the Close Button:
Richtextbox1.SelectionColor=Color.Black
I even changed it to this:
Vscrollbar1.Value=0
But still no difference.
Like wise when u change the font the font changes by using fontdialog

I have a basic window that has 20 buttons (One, Two,.....,Twenty).Currently if you click on a button its background color changes, and changes back on next click.I'm looking for a way to make it so when the mouse button is held down I can drag across the screen and it will change every button I hit.Disregard the "Shut Down", "Restart", "LogOff", "Clear", and "Invert" buttons. This idea doesn't apply to them.

Is it possible to change the background color of a cell when I click on it?
Also, is it possible to set a property so that when a cell is clicked on once it already has the focus that the 'edit' text feature doesn't let the user to change the text?

I have never used this language before.Here is what I would like to do:At work I have 2 different 3rd party programs that I would like to interact with each other.When a color change occurs on Program "A" at a predetermined coordinate on the screen a mouse click is called at a different predetermined coordinate on the screen causing the desired change in Program "B".

I have two combobox in a form: Cb1 and Cb2
When I load the form, Cb1 and Cb2 are connected to a bindingsource.
When I change Cb1, the code (below) changes Cb2 to show only the items according to Cb1
This is working fine.
The problem is when I change Cb1 , change Cb2 and click the save button..... Cb2 seems to be 'lost'...
I'm using VS2008.

I want to make a button, that once you click it, changes another objects color. For example: I press "Change" and the RichTextBox1's color changes to black. How would I do that?
View 6 RepliesI have been playing around with the "MouseDown" event and have gotten stuck. What I need is for when you click on a label (for instance), the back color will change, BUT I also want it to change to another color (back to its original) when nothing is clicking it. I can change the color with one mouse click, but when I release the mouse button, it stays the color it changed and doesn't revert back.

View 6 RepliesI have 2 buttons they are button a & b in a form. The default button A is green ("ON") in color whilst button B is red ("OFF") in color. When i click button B, it will change the color from red to green, then button A color change from green to red. Vice Versa. Basically, it is to indicate a button has been clicked and green color is to indicate a button has been clicked.
View 1 RepliesI have created 3 arrays of buttons for a form which manipulates the value in a combo box or 2 by the name of the button ( buttons named 2 through to about 70 )
This works great but the problem is, now that the buttons are in, I want to be able to change the color of the buttons when another button is clicked
ie. The first bunch of buttons is a list of locations all with unique text.the second bunch of buttons is events that happen, sign on, sign off, beach open and beach closed.
What i want to be able to do is change the color of the button clicked "before" i click sign on, sign off, beach open or beach closed.
I do not know how to reference these buttons in my code as for starters, they are numbers, which is a big no no apparently. Also, even if i change the name from just a number to something like cmdBeach(i) when creating them, i still can't refer back to cmdBeach5 in my code as the button doesn't exist yet
I change the background color of a button to red, and need to change it back in the code to the default gray
View 2 RepliesIn an application for a Storage company, I have a form with 107 buttons in five Group Boxes. Each Group Box represents a Building and each Button represents a Storage Unit. They are layered in Table Layout Panels, bottom TLP has 5 columns, one for each Group Box, each Group Box has a TLP with 2 columns and 10 rows, where each button is located. What I would like to do is change the color of any button based on the results of a query.
Buttons are called btn1, btn2, btn3..... Text on the buttons is 1, 2, 3, 4,.... I have a table for the buildings and one of the properties is "Available" set as an intger and is either 0(No) or 1(Yes). I have a query that I run on form load that returns the correct results, to test I put a DGV on a form and set the DataSource to the DataSet returned. Returned is the "Available" Buldings Number(1-107)[code]...
I've got 2 radio buttons on a form and am trying to allow a user to change the color of the form based on which radio button is selected. I've used select case in a separate procedure to do this because ultimately I'd like to have about 1/2 dozen or so color options to choose from.
The color changes when the first radio button is selected (pink or green, doesn't matter), but when I try and select a 2nd option, the program crashes (VB 2010 Beta).
My code so far is:
Public Class Form1
Private Sub SetColourScheme(ByVal colour As String)
Select Case colour
[Code]....
I get a 'StackOverflow' error, but I don't really know what this means. NB: Adding 'Return' keyword made no difference to the outcome - same error.
I am just staring off using VB 2010 after using 2005 for a while. In 2005 I used a third party control to automatically make a button a default color and when the mouse rolled over it, it changed to another color and then back to the original color when the mouse left the button.
I want to be able to set this as a default for all of my buttons in my project as there are tons of buttons throughout. I found the ControlTemplate. I don't know if it is the answer or if I don't understand how it works, but I just am not getting it.
