In an application for a Storage company, I have a form with 107 buttons in five Group Boxes. Each Group Box represents a Building and each Button represents a Storage Unit. They are layered in Table Layout Panels, bottom TLP has 5 columns, one for each Group Box, each Group Box has a TLP with 2 columns and 10 rows, where each button is located. What I would like to do is change the color of any button based on the results of a query.
Buttons are called btn1, btn2, btn3..... Text on the buttons is 1, 2, 3, 4,.... I have a table for the buildings and one of the properties is "Available" set as an intger and is either 0(No) or 1(Yes). I have a query that I run on form load that returns the correct results, to test I put a DGV on a form and set the DataSource to the DataSet returned. Returned is the "Available" Buldings Number(1-107)[code]...
I've created a program that requires students to answer addition questions.I have the code so that it calculates if the answer is correct, along with outputing the correct answer into a textbox. If the answer is correct the textbox background colour changes to green. If the answer is inocrrect the textbox background colour changes to red.I've done this using an array, and I want to use this array to calculate how many questions the students have answered correctly, and output them onto another page.I'm not sure is something like this would work:I was thinking about giving the textbox that outputs the grade score a value of 10. For every red box that is highlighted, 1 is taken away from the texbox value, outputting the amount of questions the user has answered correctly. Here is my array so far, not including the ability to output how many answers the student has answered correctly.
Public Num1(10), Num2(10) As Integer Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
I have created a database that allows me to sort through the hundreds of pictures I have based on certain criteria. The file path for each picture is stored in a text box in the database (file path). I am currently using this code to copy the files to a new folder:
However, this only copies the first file in my query not all the others. I am at a loss as how to loop through them all so they all end up in their new destination.
I have the following LINQ-to-Entities query:[code]This will give me all the resident assignments for the current year/term. Then I have this LINQ-to-Entities query:[code]This will give me all the rooms. I want to iterate through the assignments and based on what room is assigned update the occupancy in reset_occupancy. I'm not 100% sure how to accomplish this. Here is my pseudo code of what I want to accomplish:[code]
I'm trying to gather some WMI data, search that data and depending on the results change the color of a textbox and append some text.I can acheive this using a select statement but was hoping there is a more elegant solution as what I have generates a lot of similar code At the moment, the WMI data contains two properties I'm interested "State" and "ReplicatedFolderName". The"State" value determines the color and text that goes in the text box, however there are different textboxes for each replicated folder name. What I have which works is
Code to gather WMI data For each mo in queryCollection If (CShort(mo("State"))) = 2 Then[code]........
ill get the obviuose out of the way. I have XP Pro, VB2010, query(read only) to an ODBC db, displaying several results in a text box. How can I make the data display w/o the the numbers displaing decimal places. These are quantities that are to be displayed not pricing, ie. the result would say 7.0000 qty on hand, and it should say 7 on hand. The code is below,
I have a datagrid that will get built at runtime. So i don't now how many columns I may have.I know I can do a column count, and get a list of the names. So don't think that will be a problem. What I'm trying to do is change only the CELL color, not the row, or the column, based on the value of the cell.Below is something I started with, but it clearly doesn't work.
' For Each row As DataGridViewRow In Me.QDGV.Rows ' ' Get the READY value from each row as we loop ' strExt = CStr(row.Cells.Item(4).Value)
I'm working with a DataGridView that I want to format based on the condition of whether or not a date has passed. For example: If the date in a cell is past the current date, that cell and its row are formatted with the forecolor red. My current code is below, and while it doesn't present me with any errors, it just plain doesn't do anything.
Private Sub dataGridView1_CellFormatting(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs) Handles DataGridView1.CellFormatting If Me.DataGridView1.Columns(e.ColumnIndex).Name = "Due Date" Then
I have a DataGridView that has been dragged over from the DataSource Tab. All works good.I need to have the background color of some of the cells changed based on other columns in that same row. Such as, have the background color of a cell Red if the Status column (not shown) relates to 90 days overdue. The next row may be different.
How to change vb .net datagridview row color based on grid checkbox value. Having bound DataGridView. BindingSource as data source. called DGV. I m using this code under cell_formatting event
I have populated a ListView with currently running processes and with the help of JMC, been able to highlight specific rows based on memory consumption. However, I've decided to change it up a little bit and change the color of rows based on whether the process is owned by the User, if it's a System process, or if is a Service. I've already been able to determine if the process is a User process by utilizing the OpenProcessToken.
I have a form with a large number of buttons on it, each named btn1 through btn25. I have another button that is generating a random number and saving it to an integer variable intDrawn.
I'd like to know if there's a simple way to alter a particular button based on the result in intDrawn; if intDrawn = 5, then I want to change the font in btn5, for example.
Is there a way to alter a control programmatically like this? I'm using Visual Basic Express 2008.
I'm need to be able to change the background color for 64 buttons at one time that are located on 4 different tab pages. All my buttons are Button1 , Button2 - Button64. I have tried the below control which works fine outside of the tabcontrol but not with the bottons inside the tab page.
For i As Integer = 1 To 64 Me.Controls("Button" & i).BackColor = Color.Red Next i
I have 2 buttons they are button a & b in a form. The default button A is green ("ON") in color whilst button B is red ("OFF") in color. When i click button B, it will change the color from red to green, then button A color change from green to red. Vice Versa. Basically, it is to indicate a button has been clicked and green color is to indicate a button has been clicked.
I have created 3 arrays of buttons for a form which manipulates the value in a combo box or 2 by the name of the button ( buttons named 2 through to about 70 )
This works great but the problem is, now that the buttons are in, I want to be able to change the color of the buttons when another button is clicked
ie. The first bunch of buttons is a list of locations all with unique text.the second bunch of buttons is events that happen, sign on, sign off, beach open and beach closed.
What i want to be able to do is change the color of the button clicked "before" i click sign on, sign off, beach open or beach closed.
I do not know how to reference these buttons in my code as for starters, they are numbers, which is a big no no apparently. Also, even if i change the name from just a number to something like cmdBeach(i) when creating them, i still can't refer back to cmdBeach5 in my code as the button doesn't exist yet
I've got 2 radio buttons on a form and am trying to allow a user to change the color of the form based on which radio button is selected. I've used select case in a separate procedure to do this because ultimately I'd like to have about 1/2 dozen or so color options to choose from.
The color changes when the first radio button is selected (pink or green, doesn't matter), but when I try and select a 2nd option, the program crashes (VB 2010 Beta).
My code so far is:
Public Class Form1 Private Sub SetColourScheme(ByVal colour As String) Select Case colour
[Code]....
I get a 'StackOverflow' error, but I don't really know what this means. NB: Adding 'Return' keyword made no difference to the outcome - same error.
