But the problem is that I need this information to be totally hidden and not to bea able to read when someone opens exe file in Notepad or some other soft. Mar 17, 2010I give a file as parameter it crypts it with anything I don't really care if its safe or not I just want to person to not understand anything if he try's to read the file directly.so something like

I want it to open the file, rechange it to the uncrypted value then close the file. I'm using serialization so it has to be able to crypt and decrypt anything serialization does.
Reason:
When I open the file the file serialized I can still see some text.I can still see some text. =]

Feb 8, 2010If I'm not mistaken PHP crypt() function use DES-based encryption algorithm. So I've search DES Encryption code and all that I found is code that similar to the one in this post http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=471798
But with those codes I must enter 8 character lenght salt. Less then that the code wouldn't succeed. In the other hand. The PHP crypt() function only could use 2 character length salt. If you enter more than that, it seems it only use the first 2 character..[URL]
App To Load A .exe File Specified By The User, Crypt It Then Save The Crypted .exe File?
Feb 19, 2011I want my app to load a .exe file specified by the user, crypt it then save the crypted .exe file on a path also specified by the user. I need some guidance on this. First of all, I am currently using IO.filestream to store the .exe file. When I save the completed file (so far in development, that means a copy of the file as I haven't added encryption yet) the .exe file appear there alright, but without the icon (it has the standard/no icon instead) and it does not work. I tried outputting it to a .txt for examination and it was a bunch of tokens as one would expect. Here is the statements:
