I have a following value "1pm 2am" that I'm using a regular expression againts in SSIS to extract hours from in order to store separately. I've tried using both of the regular expressions below but both only yield the first number "1".

I would like to create a list of integers. The list will be items that I need to index by a key (string) or an index, which I set. For example I have items 1, 2, and 5. I would like to call Array(5) = 1. Where the the 5 is indexing a particular item 5, not the 5th item in the array. Using Array("5") = 1 could work as well. I tried using a List, but the only index is the ordered element of the list. I tried a Collection, but I kept getting errors that the items of the Collection are read only. How can I do this?
To be more specific, I have a simple game application which has a Player class. Each Player is trying to collect hits of say 3 fields {1,2,5}. I need to store how many times a player hits each of the 3 fields. So, I would like to read and write using logic like player(1).field(5) = 5. I want to add an object to the Player class which stores the number of times each of the 3 fields has been hit.
I'm trying to store a bunch of integers into a list. I need to be able to find a integer in the list, and change it somehow. I've tried an array, but it wont let me change the values?

View 6 RepliesBasically I have and array of integers that vary in size. I need to compare each number to each other number and display which number is repeated. For example:
Dim ints() As Integer = {1,2,2,5,4,6}
The number that shows up more than once is 2.
How can I run through the array and compare each integer with the numbers in the array. I tried a for loop but it didn't return the value I was looking for.
I am working on a UDP Client/Server, and currently i have them sending back and forth strings, which i convert to bytes, and then open the bytes to read. I want to now send an Object instead of those strings, which includes multiple unsigned integers and strings.

I have a list of specific class.In this list , a position class is included.And that position class includes X and Y coordinates.I have Current Coordinates and the coordinates in list .I want to calculate the distance for each item in List and find which item has minimal distance.Here is my code :

I have a bindingsource that is connected to a table where tho fields determine uniqueness. During a refresh I would like to return to the row that the user was on when he clicked the refresh button. BindingSource.find only supports one column in so far as i have been able to infer. So how doi do it. Altering the table is out of the question. Besides searching on multiple fields is a common event. Like for example first and lastname or perhaps company and journal number.
View 15 RepliesI have a facebook account that has around 1200 friend request. Obviously I dont wanna go through and click each one. So I figure I would make a App for it. So I have it working, but its going sooooo Slow....I have it, Clicking the first Confirm button then closing IE, Then opening it back up and clicking the next one. I know it would be alot faster if i could keep that instance of IE open and have it go through and click each Confirm Button but I cant figure out away to do it. If I put it in a loop, it will submit the first one, then when it loops for the second time it finds the first one again, and says its disabled. Any Idea of how I can get it to move on to the next Confirm button? Here is the code I got written so far.

I've created a button and textbox which allows me to do an openfiledialog and select multiple files. The problem is, after selecting multiple files, when I run the program it doesn't run through all files selected, just the first file. I know I'm missing an integral part of code here, but not sure what it is.
For testing purposes I've created similar code and output to a textbox shown below. I would expect that each file selected by multiselect would appear in the textbox provided.

I am writing a program using editable list boxes that will then be compared to a string later. I have no problem editing the listbox, but I am having trouble figuring out how to compare the list of things to the string. I envision using either a "for/next" loop or a "do/while" loop.
Mostly, what I need is the way to read the list box one entry at a time, in order.
I've been looking at the List(Of T).Find method and cannot figure out why it is useful?

I would like to search through all files simultaneously, for some text then replace the text with other text & save, & overwrite originals. I've got most of the basic structure done, but I've go no idea how to search for text in all files in a folder.
