i want to use a tree view to select different from in an application but i can get the appropriate event to work with all i get is the entire tree view event but what i want is to be able to click on a child node inside a parent so that upon clicking the child node something will happen.
I'm using VB 2010 Express. I'd like to ask about tree nodes - in my application, the user can change the nodes and add more. When I leave the application, I would like to return and for the new nodes to still be there. I've tried My.Settings, but I've decided there must be another way to do it in a file. For each node, I need to save the key and text, and reload it next time.
I have been developing all sorts of programs and have found myself making a password safe program. While making this program I tried to use a listbox to display the passwords and such but have found that to be insecure and hard to manage and so I decided that adding a treeview to replace the listbox would probably be my best option. So in my program the user has an 'Add Entry' option and that loads a form where they enter the information they want put into the program and saved. So far I have it set up like this, They enter the user name in textbox 1, their password in textbox 2 and the website this information goes to in textbox 3. And then I have an 'Add Entry' button and when they press the button it adds the website to a node, and I'm trying to make the username a child of that node, How should I do this because I've been messing with this for about an hour and can't seem to figure anything out. Here is the code for the 'Add Entry' button if it helps:
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Form3.TreeView1.Nodes.Add(TextBox3.Text) Me.Close() End Sub
I am not the original author of this software project and the code is poorly documented. I am mainly a Java/C++ developer.The program displays the tree structure and allows files and folder to be selected. The program is getting errors with FileSystemTreeView when trying to return nodes on a system with a reserved partition.Here is what is happening: tree.SelectedNode = tree.Nodes(0) 'returns error with system reserved partition.calling, GetDriveList() will properly return all the drive letters - and not throw an error. Only when trying to get a tree.Node() or tree.load() is the error occurring.
I have an application which is using aga.controls.Tree.Treeviewadv to shows all information in tree form. i didnt work on it before. its absolutely new to me and I have to get all the parent and child Node's Value which shows in the control.
I m making a "offline viewer" which uses saved webpages. I'm using a web browser and a tree-viewer. Is there a way to make the selected node in the tree viewer change if you click on a link in the web page (i.e if you select a link about The Gimp on tutorial 176, the selected node will change to The Gimp tree node)
I know about the code for changing the tree node selection, however what I'm having trouble with the web-browser side of it.
Just wondering how I can populate the child node in the following coding (I am able to populate the parent node but still wondering how to list out the child nodes)
===Extra Info=== I have a class to retrieve the Category Table (CategoryID, CateogryName, ParentID) and stored it via List<T>, when I need it, I declare CateogryDAL pass it to CateogryData.
I am trying to find a quick, step by step tutorial on on to implement a tree view for my intranet that will show all the computer accounts in my domain. (this is obliviously only step number one, because once i can see them, I want to be able to query information from them.but one thing at a time right?)
Is it possible and if so, how does one go about doing such a thing. I am loading a network directory in a treeview. Can the parent node be disabled, meaning it can't be selected, it's available for viewing only, but leave the child nodes selectable?
I am loading the directories from my C drive into a treeview using the code below. It takes forever due to the number of folders. Is it possible to have this only populate down 1 level and then use a NodeMouseClick Event to drill down further, in the same treeView, if the user desires to do so? How would I amend this code to do this?
The following code worked with 2.0 Framework, now with NPGSQL 2.0.11 and framework 4.0, this is erroring out despite Pooling=False for the connection. The underlying logic is that add nodes to treeview; for each node added, immediately get subnodes and populate...
vb Private Sub LoadRequirements(ByVal parnode As TreeNode) Try Dim CMd1 As NpgsqlCommand CMd1 = New NpgsqlCommand
I am Developing a Application, originally i had divided a form by splitter and on left Treeview and in Right it was DatagridView. Now the requirement is to add treeview in same window. That is either Listview with Treeview in it OR DatagridView with Treeview in It.
