GRFinger X SDK - Run Through The Database To Check For Duplicates ?

Nov 6, 2010

I'm Using Griaule Grfinger X 4.2 SDK for a project. I am able to enroll templates into database, also identify and verify fingerprints against registered ones in the database. But I have a further challenging issue. I want to be able to run through the database to check for duplicates so as to identify them in which I would put duplicates in a hotlisted database.

Deployment :: Incorporating Bits Of The Framework

Apr 14, 2009

I have made a very small (only one form and no database operations) but nifty application and I want many people to be able to use it. My question is: As I only need a very small part of the dotnet framework, is there a way to let the compiler (or so) grab only the parts it needs for the .exe/.msi file, so that users don't have to install the entire 3.5 framework just to run my tiny little app?

Incorporating Networked DVR Imagery Into Forms Application

Feb 18, 2012

I'm working on a windows forms application and would like to incorporate a feature that would allow me to pull the video stream from a networked DVR source. I have an existing desktop program that I may be able to use to snoop out some of the protocols used, but I have absolutely no idea where to look for a library or api to actually display the video.

Has anyone successfully done this? (Connected to a remote DVR, played realtime video in their own application)

Asp.net - Incorporating A Knowledge Base / Blog For Q & A On An Engineering Website?

Mar 13, 2012

I have an engineering firm and our website was built using Visual Studio 2010 / asp.net 4.0 / VB. Recently, a client (GM) requested that we have a knowledge base where they can input their questions, and we can answer 'em. Kind of like a FAQ, or a Lessons Learned type of thing. But it'll require that they'll be able to log in and ask their own questions.

For instance: Q: How would I incorporate multiple machine vision systems into a bead detection application?A: You would need to use a software such as PPT and have multiple fixtures in order to assimilate the cameras accordingly.

I'm terrible at databases; I can basically run an SQL query, and that's about it! lol. And I'm not a programmer by trade. Can I do this without a database? Can anyone guide me in the right direction here? I mean, is there something out there that's open-source, or at least something that's easy to implement?

Incorporating Databases - Information Doesn't Fill In The Text Boxes

Oct 11, 2010

I think the problem arose because of Windows 7, but when I was at school the program worked. The program fills in the text boxes with information from Microsoft Access. However, my laptop has Windows 7, and when debugged, the information doesn't fill in the text boxes like before. Also, for added information, the school's computers run with Windows XP.

I am looking for a free utility or way to protect my software by requiring a Product ID (Which will be created when a customer requests a paid license) to use the application after a demo version. Like most shareware apps.
