Nov 27, 2009I have to develop an application using MS Visual Studio 2005 or above with the following objective:
* The application should allow users to create as many new forms as they want and each form should behave like a MS Visual Studio WinForm. By saying that it should be a container for drag and drop of controls from the toolbox that I will develop....
* Once the user design's each screen to his taste by placing various controls on the form, he should be able to save the form as a screen. Of course I have to provide functionality for each of the controls such as if he drags a button on to the form, he should be able to specify what action it has to perfom when clicked when the application is put into run mode. Quite similar to regular windows form button.
* My application should have two modes: a DESIGN MODE, where user can drag, drop controls and specify what they should do when put into RUN MODE. This is quite similar to MS Visual Studio designer.
* Last but not least is to be able to access the application via the browser with the same look and feel his desktop version.

Why Program Doesnt Work Without Help Of Visual Studio
Jun 13, 2011I am really confused! My program doesnt work if I dont have visual studio here in my pc. To test it I have uninstalled visual studio. But my program doesnt work though flash player is present there(I have used flash animation in first form). To be more sure about it I have installed Flash. But its not working! That means flash animation file(.swf) is not making problem! It needs support from visual studio to start. Doesnt it mean that some files are not attached with setup file as a result it needs visual studio to run? Aug 20, 2009I have 2 console apps projects in the same directory but different projects. There is some common code in the App_Code directory and a common app.config which gets build into seperate .exe.config files.One module (VScanDemonStarter) starts up and writes to one logger with its own appender going to a seperate file. It uses an process.start() to execute the other module (VScanDemon) in another command prompt hidden window.When I run VScanDemon by itself it puts entries into its log file. When I run VScanDemonStarter it puts entries into its (different) log file, the VScanDemon log file gets created, but no entries. I can see it is executing because some files get moved from one directory to another. Just no Log entries.

Visual Studio 2010 Created Program Doesn't Work On Windows7 64 Bit While Works Fine On Windows Xp
May 15, 2012I have one tool which we developed on visual studio 2010. there are basically two parts of my project, one is UI part which i wrote in VB and algorithm part which is in C++ on back end. When we compile C++ part it creates a .dll which is used by my front end VB program.
Now my problem is little weird since i am compiling and deploying this tool on windows xp machine but some of the users are using windows 7 64 bit machines and after running the program for about 5-10 minutes, it crashes on windows 7 with following error

VS 2005 Visual Studio + Access DB?
May 29, 2009I am new to Visual Studio and (I am using Visual Studio 2005)I know how to connect/edit, etc to an access database by just using coding but I am having a problem with the Visual Studio Database wizard.
When I create a new Data Source and I specify a Microsoft Access Database File (OLE DB) connection + *.mdb filename, etc I am able to drag the table name onto the form and browse the contents of the database when running the application. No problem there.
The problem is when I run the application and adding new records to the database via the form, the new data does not get saved. I run the app (F5) + add new data to the database + save + then close the app. When I rerun the app from Visual Studio (F5), the new data is gone.

A VS05 Web Application has a References folder in the Solution Explorer where you can select a reference and view its properties, such as CopyLocal, in the Properties window.But a VS05 Web Site only has a References folder in the Class View, where you can't access any properties for the references. Basically he wants us to create a form in Visual Studio 2005. It has a group box with two Radio buttons, (One for boys, One for Girls) and a List box that lists the corresponding names of the Gender you selected with a radio button.Alternatively, you can click the Report button and get the list that way.
Heres a screenshot of how he wants it: He wants us to use parallel arrays to make the list, each name has a corresponding M or F. So far I have the objects all set up, and the I have declared the parallel array like this in the Declaration of the form:
