List / Download And Delete File From FTP

I am trying to generate a script which handles more than 1 file from FTP. For example I have 4 files on the FTP and I need to have them saved locally and after that to delete them from FTP. I was trying and example for list and get but it is not working correctly.
Here is what I have:

I have 4 files; it is working OK for 3 of them but the application crashes on the last one.

We need to get about 100 very small files from a remote FTP server using vb.net.Our company won't let us buy (or install) any 3rd party ftp libraries... so we are forced to use something like FtpWebRequest. (Or is there a better free, choice that is already a part of Visual Studio?)

I do the same thing with URLdownloadtoFile: IT WORKS.Wih the WEBCLIENT part I just DO NOT GET the Text file from the PHP/MYSQL server: I only get message "Invalid Username/Password or no list download permission: ||"

Another program I am working on for fun, I am basically shuffling a list inside a listbox, what I want to do is delete the rest but not sure how to go through with that. At the moment I have this: [code] Just contains the code, declarations outside weren't included.So anyway, once clicked, it will call on the function to basically shuffle in a for loop, I was wondering if I should (or how should) create another function and call it in the click button or have just a loop in the click button so it deletes half the list. What I am doing is I have 20 list of items, I want the program to shuffle the items and then deleting the lower 10, meaning, if I had 10 items and wanted 5 top, I'd want: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and deleting 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

Basically, I am making a booking system. On one of the forms, you can: Add, Edit and Delete a record by using the selected index. I can do the Add and Edit part fine but some problems are occuring when I try to delete it. What I'm trying to do when deleting is, copy all the records except the selected one and then copy it back into the original file again.

I want to download thousands of files from the web and save them locally. What is the most efficient way? It is important the failures timeout within 10 seconds.
Is there a better way to stream one stream into another? Maybe a smaller buffer, like 1024 bytes at a time, is more efficient for large files?

i have a plain text document uploaded to my website. The text document contains links to files that need to be downloaded for my application as an update ( i have yet to figure out how to make my own installer so i am making my own updater which is MUCH simpler). Each link has its own line. I understand how to load the file into a RichTextBox with vb.net but i do not understand how to tell one button to download each file listed.[code]

I have created a application in vb.net. I am using Web Browser control in it.With this Web Browser control I open an URL and tries to Download something, it will populates an dialog for "File Download" to Open/Save/Cancel for the file..I am downloading the .ZIP file, and it will not show the checkbox for Automatically Do.Is there any way to perform the Download operation at the backend, means it will not ask me for such options.

I've been working on a program lately. On the form load it loads a list box with a list of names from a .txt file. It's a sign in form, so when people click their name then the button it will write to a .txt file their arrival time, and the folder is their name. I can make it do it one at a time, but that's so inconvenient. I have the list box set so it accepts multiple selections, but I need to make it write the time for everyone.
how to delete the selected name from the list that would be extremely helpful, that way the person isn't signed in multiple times.

I am writing a Windows Form program to automatically download and store generated PDF reports from a web site using the WebBrowser Control. The web site uses Ajax to link an icon back to the source aspx file which then returns a PDF file.
The problem I have is that the WebBrowser control brings up the File Save As dialog box when the PDF file is returned and I can find no way of handling this to cature and save the returned file. I have found other examples of how to manage this using the Navagating event to validate the extension of the file that is being accessed (e.g. [URL] and, if not an HTM, file then use the HTTP Web control to directly download the file. Unfortunately this will not work as the call references a .aspx page.

In my project, I want to use Coordinates of a place (eg; London) which is selected from a list of several thousands of coordinates of places.
I thought of using comboBox / ListBox to display the list of the coordinates of places.
I want to know how to make this "editable"; ie: anyone using this program should be able to Edit / Add / Delete a coordinates of a place. And the newly added Place should be saved so that he/she can use it whenever it is needed.
