Loading Line Into ListBox - No Empty Items

I've got a Program and a text file, this text file gets load into the list box but that's not the problem. The problem is that when I make the text file it makes a open line and this line gets loaded into the list box and I don't want empty items.
So here's code that I use to make text file

I need to know if there is a way to remove any items from a listbox if they contain no text. Like if there are three items(Blah, ,Blah) listed in the listbox like so (remove the middle line that is empty so the listbox now contains two items(Blah, Blah) listed like so Or if there is a way to do this to a textbox that would work too. I'm working in VB 2010

I have a huge assignment tommorow in which i have to make a trivia game on visual basic. In this game you have to be able to make your own questions (modify/delete etc). Basically I have one form where you can add questions into one listbox and answers into another listbox. Now i have another form with the actual game board. I want to load each individual listbox item from the other form into the array on the game board form. Example. the first item of form2.listbox1 into question(1)

I was writing a program that would save the contents of a listbox to a database and wanted to reload the users' choices when the opened up that particular row again. My first thought was to do it with two for loops, just as I used to do in VB6, but I thought there must be a better way to do it. And there was. Sort of. It basically involves using the SelectedObjectCollection class.For this demo, you'll need a listbox called Listbox1. Set selection mode to something other than "One" or else it won't work as expected

Here is the current code I am using to add files and check the number of lines in each file that was selected (file qty). This is also added into a seperate listbox for viewing.

how to write the items in the right listbox to a .txt file using StreamWriter. I need the output line to resemble:

Ok here we go again, im a complete beginner to coding and have started with visual studio 2008 using the .net/vb libraries, as my first project i went with an emulation application, and it went great:So now i think its time to move onto a little more advanced tech's, so i added in a combo box and i want to change how my code works, and this is where my troubles are.To start of with the combo box, i have it added to my winform and have 3 items on it 'Action' 'RPG' and 'Sim' and i have made 3 .txt files in the projects root folder with the same names. What i want to have happen is when the user selects for instance 'RPG' from the combo box the items displayed in the listbox change to the contents of the rpg.txt file. I am using VB.NET (version 2008). I have two types of items populating in a listbox (checked listbox). For example: lets say one is type "A" and other is "Type B". Their names maybe same so if the user sees those items in listbox then he won;t be able to determine their type until he click on them and checks out its properties. I wanted that I add each item to listbox and colour them so that blue for example means type "A" is there and red means the other. So this way I will be able to know at a glance that how many item of what type is present. I guess it may not be possible to do that in a standard checkedlistbox. I am also using component factory's krypton controls which enhance the gui of an application. But I dunno if I can progress using that.

I am trying to save details from my program into a sort of mini database using excel, my program isnt having a problem opening the excel file, it is having trouble inputting the data. The first problem i would like help with is maybe a loop of some sort to get my program to look through each line on my excel spreadsheet and find the next empty line so it can input the data.
I was having some help from another person who gave me some code which go's to the very bottom cell and goes up until it finds text and then off sets by 1. However this was in the form of a macro, and I need a way to do it from my program.

however when it is read into the listbox those 3 words appear on one line in listbox
How can i make it so that each line of the textfile is placed in each line on the listbox?

I have a richtextbox which has CSV values in each line. Whenever a line is inserted, after pressing a command button the program lets the user know how many categories each line has.
Example:
Line1: a,b,c,d,e
Line2: x,y,z
Pressing the command button would say: Line1: 6 categories, Line2: 3 categories. This works fine, except from when I want a line to NOT contain any categories.

I understand that VB recognizes the vbCrlf on Line2 as a char, hence a 'category', hence the line is not empty. But what happens when I want to consider a line as empty (ie Line2:0 categories)? Should I go with something like if txt.line(i).text = vbcrlf then...? This solution seems kind of like bypassing the problem instead of actually solving it.. Or maybe it's just me?
