I want to get the data that the clipboard gets, form example I dont know If im explaining that good but I want to work like this: for example if I copy a text in a notepad.. i want my program to get the information and put it on a listbox.. and each time I copy something.. to keep adding the things I copy in a different line, i mean to dont overwrite in the last clipboard information stored..

I have a listbox control on my form that has SelectionMode as MultiSimple so I can select more than one item with my mouse. I added a contextMenuStrip to my form and added it to my listbox. I'd like the user to be able to select a few items in the listbox and when they right click > Copy it would copy the contents of the selected items to the Clipboard.

I am just wondering if there is any way I could copy a bit of text using whatever application, but having a clipboard application of my own to store all of those on a listbox? So if it possible, how can I catch a value when I the user copies some text? I could make a cool application that would be quite handy... is there any event that could catch the data when something is copied onto the clipboard?

What I am trying to do now, is rather than process documents in a static folder, I want to process the documents that are inside my listbox, and save the new copies back to the list box (repopulate the list box with the processed txt files, I hope that makes sense). What I think I need to do is loop through the listbox and take the file path for each item, process it, then feed these back into my listbox.

I am unable to read a pasted datagridviewrow object from the clipboard. All I want to do is, when a user has the entire row selected and copied, I would paste that row into the clipboard as a DataObject. That works just fine but when I attempt to read that DataObject (after the user clicks Paste) the DataGridViewRow that's saved in the clipboard always has a value of Nothing. I have a form with a listbox. I'm adding items to the listbox through a file that I saved. When I open the file, I want each line/string in the file to go in as a separate item in the listbox. I've gotten it to work so far but only with 1 string. I need to loop the part where the file is being read to be able to add all the strings that are within the file to the listbox. How do I do this? i have 2 list boxes.. Qty and Cost both of these are populated from a sql database. The code is suppose to read through the listboxes and multiple the Cost by the Qty and then replace the Cost with the new result. The Cost listbox is populated with the cost of one item. The reason i am not doing this calculation in the sql query is because the sql query is very complicated filter out a bunch of stuff to show just the qty of the item...

I need to find a method of looping through a listbox and retrieving the index number and values - quite straightforward in asp, but turning out to be something of a nightmare in winforms!Here is the scenario - The user can add values in a textbox, that are in turn added to a DataTable that gives it a unique ID and a row number, this is then bound to the listbox. The user can then move the items up or down the list by adjusting the row number in the datatable and rebinding to the listbox..
The problem that I am hitting is when the user needs to delete an item -the first part is easy - delete from the DataTable and rebind to the listbox. The bit where I hit the proverbial brick wall is needing to loop through the listbox rows and getting both the index number and the ValueMember - that way I can change the row numbers in the DataTable based on the index number against the ID number.

If I set a ListBox.Height = ListBox.PreferredHeight when the control is hidden and IntegralHeight = True, then set it visible:
a) Actual Height reduces by typically 3-5 pixels after redraw (but not 1 pixel per item).
b) PreferredHeight does not not appear to give the correct integral of item heights.
Is there a way to make ListBox calculate the correct integral Height before the ListBox is made visible, so it can be correctly pre-positioned from bottom edge?

I'm trying to make a very simple automated program that will run two stored procedures (one that updates, one that displays the new results) and then copies the results to the clipboard and pastes it in a new e-mail. I already have the e-mail generating and grabbing whatever is on the clipboard, but I need help with the store procedures.
Every guide I look at on Google seems to show a slightly different way of working with SQL, but I threw this together and need to know if it's working.
