I made a program to generate random numbers and the result will be in two boxes. The first box contains 16 numbers and the second one contains 32 numbers. I need to add a diagram show the relationship between these numbers. The diagram must contain ten fixed objects numbered from 0 to 9 and the code should start reading from the result box from left to right. for example: we have a result [1502219785642556], so object number one its color will be changed to be known that it is the first number then the second number is five so there will be an arrow goes from object number 1 to object number 5, then arrow from 5 to 0, arrow from 0 to 2, from 2 to 2 cycle arrow.It better to designee the objects in three rows and columns, and each arrow has a number in sequence.

How can I make an array of objects in VB.net. Here is the requirement. Basically I have a class named hotel. I need to dynamically add customers to the hotel class using the Customer class. So basically if in the Hotel class I can have an array of Customer objects that would be great. How can I do this in VB .net ?

This probably sounds daft, but im struggling to get to grips with Classes/Modules/arrays and objects, as well as there uses and what they are, and yes im still coding some how i hear you cry.The reason i ask is because Ive got a load of Dim's in my program that are the same giving locations of files and folders and wondered can they be used as a module that i can alter after the program is built, incase of folder locations being wrong or moved, manually correct after install.

I have designed a small component I need to derive. The problem is one property from base class doesn't make sense in derived class, but won't hurts too (just it's ugly in property editor)
Now there is a solution to make that property non-derivable or hidden in derived objects?

I am trying to find information on code to make the lines of a jpg file that have been loaded into a VB.NET WebBrowser control into selectable objects.
I have no idea what to search for or the correct terminology.
This is very similar to using the line tool in word or excel, after you draw a line you are able to select it.

Okay I've been wondering about this for a while now, but whenever you assign variable values to objects they tend to just become references to the original object
For example:
Dim copiedCollection As ListBox.ObjectCollection = ListBox1.Items
For Each L As String In copiedCollection
If L = "Goodbye" Then ListBox1.Items.Remove(L)
Next
As soon as it encounters the string "Goodbye" and removes the item from the listbox, the program will throw an error saying the the collection (copiedCollection) has been modified. How can I make copiedCollection a true copy (not a reference) to the Listbox1.Items collection?

long story short, I have created a ListView type control, using UserControls for the parent control and the ListViewItems. Most the of the control is written and works fine, right up to the point where I tried to replicate the 'Control.SelectedItems(0).Index' property and the 'SelectedIndexChanged' event.
Each child object knows its index value, and could pass this value via the SelectedIndexChanged event (assuming this is how it works in a normal ListView control -- user clicks on an item, and that item fires an event updating the selected index value in the parent object).
How does the child object raise an event in the parent object? I have a feeling this could be done with Delegates, but I'm still learning about their usage.

I need two seperate lists, which every item is Integer, String, Bitmap - and one which every item is Integer, String String. If you have a sqlClient.sqlconnection object, in the cleanup code (finally block etc) do you dispose of the object or do you set it to nothing, or both?
I've always just called the dispose, and allowed the garbage collector to do its thing...

I want to start by saying that I am very new to programming so please be take this in to account when responding.
I am trying to finish my masters thesis and have to run a small program to assess how individuals can rank several different patterns on the basis of how random the pattern looks.
So i need to create patterns with varying degrees of randomness. Some with very little randomness and others that are completely random.
The way I thought I would accomplish this was to make the pattern out of a bunch of smaller objects or primitives. Then call out each object and then add in a random displacement to the object. For increasing randomness increase the amount of displacement (scale within the RNG?).

When I write Collection.Count it prints for me for example 198 - co it's good.But when I want to loop through this collection ('for each' or 'for') application shows error that counter should not be greater than collection or below 0.
