Sep 6, 2011I have a form with a datagridview.This datagrid is getting populated from Database.Im able to fill the data in datagrid.I have added a column of checkbox type in the datagrid other than those columns which is getting populated from Database.I have added filters on the form,once the record is populated,my requirement is should be able to check and uncheck the record of corresponding checkbox column that i have added.For Example:In my datagridview RollNo,Name,Address,MobileNo are some fields that are populated from database.I have already added these columns in my Grid by click the smarttag available on Datagrid and then selecting Edit Columns option.Above mentioned fields are all textbox columns.Apart from these columns i have added one more column of type checkbox before my mobile number column.My requirement is after data is populated i should be able to check and uncheck my checkbox column in front of those mobile numbers to whom i want to send a message.

The checkbox column shows up successfully, but when I try to click any of the checkboxes,nothing happens.The cell remains unchecked.It blinks, so I know that it is acknowledging the click, but the checkbox state does not change.

Mar 10, 2011I was looking for some better way of coding to populate all text boxes and make them visible once a button is clicked. I have a letter like format on a page with labels displaying address, name etc and it was recommended that on this page some of the information should be able to be edited. The idea I had was to keep the labels displaying the information but then when the edit details button is clicked the labels disappear, text boxes will appear and be populated with the same text as the label to allow the user to edit the details.
I seem to repeating lines of code but changing one thing each time on page load

How will I do this if my checkboxes are DataGridViewCheckboxColumn? What loop will I do,because there's a possibility that I'll be checking the last checkbox?
CheckboxColumn1 is "Parent" and CheckboxColumn2 is "Child", they are related to each other. It's a requirement that the Parent has to have at least 1 Child meaning it can be One(P) is to ManyŠ or One(P) is to OneŠ. If the user didn't meet the said requirement, the system should not allow him to insert the selected records to the database. That's why I've decided to Disable the button unless the user checked the two checkboxcolumn. Meaning if the user only checked the checkbox/es in the Child column, the button will remain disabled, same concept with the Parent checkboxcolumn. The button that I'm talking about is what I call "Consolidate Button".

I can make the lights randomly flash using a randomGenerator and a Select case statement. However, the code is very long. There are 67 lights on this tree and the code is 71 pages long. Form Events - Tab Visible When CheckBox Checked
Jul 25, 2011I have a form called LeaseAbstract; within the form I have two tabs: 'General' and 'Responsibility List'. In the General tab there is a checkbox called 'OutsideLease'. What I want is when the Outside Lease checkbox is checked the Repsonsibility tab becomes enabled and visible. I don't want that tab visible unless that checkbox is checked.

Jul 30, 2009I have several problems with rows in a DataGridView. Background information: The DataGridView (DataGridViewCalib) is in one TabPage of a TabControl, some columns of the DataGridView are automatically DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn as the DataSource have some colums which are Boolean. This is a Windows Form written in VB.Net with Visual Studio 2008. The user loads an input data file.
The problems:
1) At first arrival in the TabPage, ShowDataGridViewCalib (code below) is called. All rows are then shown in the DataGridView, despite the code saying that some rows should not be visible. Breakpoints in the code show that the code do arrive at the Rows.Visible = False events. Despite all rows beeing shown a Watch in the debugger shows that:
