i created a media player in vb.net or vb2008 and it will import music files and play stop and fast forward but when the song has finished i want it to skip to the next one in the listbox. does any 1 know how to do this.

View 1 RepliesI have created a media player (vb.net 2005) using the media player control. Plays fine when using open dialog box and url. I have set my player as the default player but when I click on a media file, the player will open but not play. I am sure it has to do with on open event and coding the url to see the selected file just like any other media player out there.
View 14 RepliesOk I'm making a media player using a listbox, but when I added an Item to the listbox it would display as a URL, so I decided to make a mediaplayer playlist instead then when I add a new song it would put the title of the song in the listbox but I have an issue, when I goto switch the song in the listbox, it shuts down with an error.

I got a Media Player with playlist (listbox). When the track or video ends, I want the program to automatically play next track (or video) ib playlist.

I have 28 mp3 and 28 wav files. A Treeview allows user to select "Matthew" then click on a chapter and that chapter plays. What I want to accomplish, is to allow the user to click on "Matthew" in the treeview and the m3u (playlist) plays the entire Audio

I have researched the forums, tried numerus examps, checked out MSDN examps and Learn and still cannot find a way to accomplish what I want.
Just wongering if there is anyway either via registry or api to get some basic info on the currnent playing file in windows mediaplayer? or from the explorer window when the file is clicked to be played

I have tried creating a shuffling playlist but i cant get it to stop after one file is played (it just goes on shuffeling to another file, and i really do not want a playlist). It plays fine? the file paths are the same including the extra "" but it just refuses to play. I need the top one because i have many movies in a treeview.

So basicly ive made a media player in vb using the windows media player control and everything is fine except that when i use the trackbar to navigate on a video it starts stopping and starting like a scratched cd (there is nothing wrong with the video file) strangely this does not happen whilst playing audio files the shaking stops if i pause it for a second ant then play it again but incorporating a pause in the trackbar function does not help.
