May 15, 2011I have some DataGridView code written in vb.net. (Nothing is attached to a datasource.)The 4th column is a checkbox cell.How do I detect if that checkBox is checked or unchecked?This code strangely reports TRUE or FALSE at random times. It even turns ON the checkbox in rows other than the row I clicked in. (Huh?)

Jun 30, 2009I've got a form with parent-child setup. The parent displays name and other demographic info.The child displays multiple addresses, one row at a time. There can only be one primary address for a name and this is designated by a checkbox at the top of the child form.If the user wants to change the primary address to another address,then they find the other address and click on the checkbox.The form checks the other addresses and if one is found that is designated as primary,the user is warned that one already exists and prompts them to change it.
So for example, a name has 2 addresses, the 2nd being the primary address.The user wants to change the 1st address to be primary.They click on the Primary Address checkbox for the 1st address.A warning displays that there is already an address listed as primary.The user then answers the prompt to change the 1st address to the primary address.The checkbox for the 2nd address will be unchecked and the checkbox will be checked for the 1st address.My problem is getting the checkbox unchecked for the 2nd address.If I close the form and reopen, then the checkbox is unchecked.How do I refresh the checkbox for the 2nd address?Here is the code I'm using to find if an address has already been marked as primary:[code]......

I see many examples for setting a column type to checkbox but I don't see anything that operates at the row level. Even operating at the cell level would be fine.

Jul 1, 2010I have a tbl called tblProjectpatients which also has 2 fields Yes and No (these have the data type - Bit). These two fields have been populated with false and true values. On my form, I have a datagridview which is populated with various values from tblProjectpatients. The problem am facing is that the checkbox's for Yes and No on the datagridview are empty at runtime eventhough at the backend they have either False or True values. I am expecting the checkbox showing on the datagridview to be either checked or Not Checked depending on the True or false values.

Feb 27, 2009I am working with Vb.net. See the code below; I have the following problem - when I click the checkbox (Cells(3)) the value remains 0.00 in Cells(4) unless I click another checkbox is when Cell(4) gets populated with the value from Cells (5).
What I want it to do is when cells(3) is checked, Cells(4) should be populated instantly with the value from Cells(5). Rather than still show 0.00 until another checkbox is clicked. I think th eproblem is in the eventhandler as highlighted
