OWC PivotTable Toolbox Item Grayed Out For WebForm
Jan 7, 2010
I'm trying to build a Pivottable on a webform in vb.net 2005 using OWC. I have added the Pivottable item to the toolbox, but it is grayed out and so I cant use it. If I develop a Winform instead of a Webform then the toolbox items are there and work correctly.
is it possible to group similar controls in a form so instead of having to change every control's property I could just change the property for the entire group?
solve the problem, I'm unbale to drag icon from tools, I guess I'm wrongly delete something., I already Unstall and install back stil facing same problem.
I am trying to add a new user control to an existing project that contains about a dozen existing user controls. The project builds with no problems and my new control appears in the toolbox, but when I try to drag the new control on to a form I get a message box saying "Failed to load toolbox item 'XXXXXXX'. It will be removed from the toolbox" The project was originally created with VS2005 and has been upgraded to VS2008. What do I need to do to fix this?
i have a datagrid view, how can i use this or another item from toolbox to import and make excel files? if possible, include some coes that will make it work,I like...Understandable Answers

I have a weird question and I honestly hope you understand what is happening here: I design my form (using VB.NET) and put on it a few textboxes, comboboxes and a listview. After the design, I want to adjust the TabIndexes for each control on the form. On the right-hand side of the interface is the property box.
I then select the 'TabIndex' property item and enter a number key (for instance 0) for that selected item. I then select the next textbox control and enter the next number (for instance 1) WITHOUT re-selecting the 'TabIndex' property item. As soon as I select the combobox or listview control, the currently selected property item jumps to 'Items' or 'Collections' and does NOT remain on the 'TabIndex' property item. Why is this happening? Everything worked fine and all of a sudden this starts happening. Should I reset the editor settings or how can I resolve this matter?
I have 2 workbooks( Book1 and Book2) with multiple sheets.I am only interested in one of the worksheets in the workbooks(both the worksheets names are the same). The thing is that the data is in the form of pivot tables, so each time i have to filter according to specific categories, copy and paste into another new workbook. The thing is column headings in both the worksheets are different,BUT BOTH the worksheets data must be combined into 1 single worksheet( row after row).
Meaning in Book1, my columns are in the form of Cost, revenue, margin and in book2, the columns are in the form of Cost,Revenue, Profit Margin %.... That means i must add a profit margin % column in Book1 and a Margin column in Book2 before I combine the data into a single worksheet. Each week, new data gets added into Book1 and Book2, so I wish to automate this by creating a code, so that when the source data changes, my new workbook's data also changes.
My Run button is grayed out. This includes starting a new project of any type. I completely un-installed VS 2008 and Re-Installed it. The Run is Still grayed out. VB is now worthless.
When I put a break on a line and then press F5 the debugger does break on the line which I put the Break (F9) but Step In (F8) as well as F5 are grayed out, not working, as well as a bunch of other debug tools.
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. I have a copy of Visual Studios 2005. The toolbar is not working. I tried all of these and none of these fixed the toolbar: -Show all (greyed out) -Reset Toolbar -delete C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalMicrosoftVisualStudio8.0*.tbd worked one time then it did not.
I have a custom made control linked to a PropertyGrid at runtime. Some of the properties of my controls are grayed. Why is this happening? I am interested in having some of those editable.
I have seem some threads similar to this but none have resolved my problem thus far.I currently have a gridview that is populated from a database table. There is a check box field within this table, generated from one of the fields being of Data Type "bit". When this page is loaded, the check boxes are grayed out and I am unable to click on them to change.
I'm fairly experienced with making user controls and have never had this happen to me before. All of my custom properties (gloss opacity, border color, header color 1 and header color 2) are all grayed out in the properties window on the form designer when I try to add my groupbox to a form.
Here's my Imports System.Drawing.Drawing2D Public Class DanGroupBox Inherits ContainerControl Dim _GlossOpacity As Integer = 50 Dim _HeaderBackColor1 As Color = Color.Silver [Code] .......
I am building an application in Visual Studio containing various tables and input boxes. Its part of my coursework. I have a table that has two input text fields and above the boxes is a check box. I have created a calculation in VB that only includes the data in the text fields when the check box is ticked. What I want to do now is have the two text fields as un-editable until you tick the check box? or greyed out?

Basically what i have is a vb.net form that when a user clicks the submit button I am going to store the values in a SQL database. This i have done already. What I would like to know is what is the best way to approach after the user clicks submit to submit the form to the database then should I use a separate button to call the values into a crystal report or report designer? Or is there a CSS template that will mimic the size of a piece of paper on the web and print as seen on the screen.
I tried to create a website 612 x 792 which from what i googled was the size of a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper however although it looked great on the web when i printed it decided to print 4 pages when it should only have been 2 pages. Here is the part of my css code that i am trying to make the size of a paper
body { background: #b6b7bc; font-size: .70em;[code].....
If I have three checkboxes on my asp.net webform.. if 1 is already checked on pageload event then output in textbox would be 2,3 if 2 and three checkbox would be checked... even after.I want if the checkboxes are already checked on page load event, we have to ignore that checkboxes, and add recently checked checkboxes, checkbox2 and checkbox3, will be entered in textbox 1 as 2,3.
i'm generating HyperLinks, all of them (depending on the circunstance, could be 1, 2 or 1000) send to the same webform:
from default.aspx to envia.aspx
i can't use session, or anything i already know, because i can't create as many methods i want (that would not be good, due to possible large numbers)example, there are three lines i print on demand:
house [link] car [link] flower[link]
i want the three links to load the same aspx webform sending as a parameter a string with these lines.
I have different checkboxes in vb.net webform with different text ...
checkbox1.text=100 checkbox2.text=300 checkbox3.text=550 and so on .....
i want when i check checkbox1 and checkbox2 then in textbox1 the text would be 400 means as many as checkbox i select the sun of checkboxes selected will be calculated in textbox using VB.NET i m using Visual Studio 2008
I want a modal screen on startup of the computer, so that user forces to make some action on that screen. Also I want to disabled close button of the screen, It should cover entire Desktop. How to achieve using winform/webform? is parent/child form is the only solution fro this/?
In my app I will open a browser that goes to a webpage with a form that has a few fields, something like:
username - textbox membertype - option list Windows or Linux - checkbox Feedback - textarea Submit button
Now I want these to be prefilled from my app. It has these varialbles stored in variables already so it would be nice if I could prefill some fields when browser form open so my user only have to type in the feedback manually.
I tried to bring a previously done webform made in vb.net to an IronPython asp.net website with no luck. After seeing it didnt work, I tried to write the simplest codebehind vb.net webform to see if there was a problem with vb.net in an IronPython website and I got the following usual error "be sure that the defined class in this file matchs with the one in the attribute inherits and that it extends the right base page (page or control)" (sorry if the translation isnt the most accurate I get that message in spanish)but if I create a vb.net webform in the same website, with the sourcecode in the same file (with the vb.net code between script runat="server" tags in the same page) I get no problem. Do I have to configure something for both kind of sourcecode languages to run in such way in the same IronPython website, like configuring something in the webconfig file or is there some compatibility issue for doing that which can't be resolved?
So I am making an app that has several buttons, the idea is when you press a button it will open a form that it's a browser, each button open a different link.
My question is if I have 10 links do I have to make 10 forms with browesers for each or there is way to each button make the browser form open the link I want.
I'm pretty certain I have the name right for login.. The User and password fill in wonderfully. (I've tried this on other web forms and I couldn't hit submit on them, either)
