View 2 RepliesI just put all my aspx files on the local folder and made a website in IIS7. I added a virtual directory to it and then converted the virtual directory to application. The website loads properly but when i click the link that calls my application i get this error message.

I am trying to implement a Custom HttpHandler (for the first time), I have been given a tutorial to follow but couldn't get it to work. I then found another tutorial but couldn't get that to work, they are both giving me the same error message.
The custom handler is to protect people from downloading certain file types, although i think the error is somekind of configuration problem as I can't get the website to work at all once I add the httpHandlers to the Web.Config file.

login.aspx generates the following error on load, this file worked great for over 2 years, problems with Godaddy forced us to create a new account IIS6 ASP 1.1 which matched the original hosting environment. I have a dll application that has its own app.config file associated with it. It has custom sectiongroups, sections, element collections, etc. The application name is WireShopAutomation.dll, so the built config ends up as WireShopAutomation.dll.config.The problem is that I seem to be unable to open the section group. The error message is:
"Could not load type 'WireShopAutomation.cfgSectionGroup_WireShopMain' from assembly 'WireShopAutomation'"
It seems to find the config file, but not the class handler for the section group and possibly the assembly itself. The class handler for this is in the same project as the application itself.The configSections section of the app.config file is as follows:

When I check the groupwise mail client for the status. I can see the mail in 'Sent Items' but delivered status as Pending, also same mail in 'Trash' folder too but with 'To' field empty.

Problem: Failure of in-house written VBScript that runs from a web page which calls CDO library to send an SMTP message.
Systems: About 100 Windows XP, Professional, Version 2002, SP2 clients using IE6 and IE7. Symantec 10.1.6.6010. All Microsoft patches are regularly installed.
Symptoms: Web application has sent messages for years without error. About December 2007 an intermittent failure began. About 5% of the SMTP messages are not being sent.
Research 1: Added code to trap error and got error number -2147220973 and error description, "The transport failed to connect to the server".
Research 2: Verified that the failed messages were not leaving the client by using a hardware network sniffer.
Research 3: Used SysInternals/ TCPView to monitor while sending messages.It didn't always show when a message was sent.Perhaps it needs to operate at a lower speed than 1 second. When TCPView did show something it was that ccApp.exe,Symantec antivirus,was communicating with the SMTP server.
Research 4: Reviewed all tools available in Sysinternals but didn't find any way to monitor the messages better than TCPView.
Research 5: Placed error checks throughout the code and proved that the error is in the iMsg.Send command.

I'm using a date/time picker control and sending the db value to it. I know that the value is null, but I don't understand why the Picker can't be blank. Is there a way to let it be blank? Or should I set up a way to check for nulls and assign today's date or something just in case?
