I am using this code to pass multiple parameters but it works for only one parameter what should i do please please help me.
If TextBox1.Text = "" Or TextBox2.Text = "" Then
MessageBox.Show("Please enter Date!", "ALI ENTERPRISES", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Information)
Exit Sub
I have a situation where I need to programatically pass paramaters using VB through to my crystal report. I am using Visual Studio 2008 for my development.
Everything is working fine, but when I run the report I get a "Value cannot be Null" error. this is in the Crystal Reports Rorm Viewer.
I need to pass date range parameters to a crystal report from a vb.net application, but I don't know how to. I have a crystal report that pulls data from an oracle database. In the database, I have a table of students, and each record has a birth date, name and surname. I need to display on the report only records where the birth date is between date X and date Y inclusive of both. Date X and Date Y are dates passed on the vb.net application when opening the report. I am using crystal reports 9, visual studio 2008 and oracle 9i.
I have a form that that has a Textbox. When I input a Sales Code and using a command button I want to be able to display a list of Clients with the same Sales Code.
I have example of Crystal Report document, in that document I have 3 fields from 2 tables (loaded from my database). What I'm trying to do is to access one of those fields (year field) programmaticly and pass only one value...let's say I only want to show year "2006." I've tried different things but nothing works 'til now.[code...]
with this, I can access to the field i want...but I don't know how to set or get any of his value...this code above only gets name of that field, I just put that for an example. I just want to do next: give user a chance to print different reports for different years, and I want to have some combobox menu.
I seem to be passing the parameter to the report (I placed the parameter field itself on the report to verify this) but it does grab any information based on this parameter. All of the fields appear with no data but the parameter is showing up correctly.Yes, I have verified that the parameter is in the select statement of the report. The report also is exporting correctly but still without the data.
Below is the code I'm using:
CR Loading Try Dim cryRpt As New ReportDocument() Dim reportPath As String = "MyReport.rpt" cryRpt.Load(reportPath)
i want to populate a crystal report based off a selected phone number, but i'm not sure how to pass the phone number to the report. I've tried the following, but other than that i'm lost:
' Dim pField As New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterField() 'Dim disVal As New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue() 'Dim pFields As New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterFields()
I have a stored procedure that takes in 2 parameters and returns an integer value. I would like this value to be the value for a gauge chart on the page. The 2 parameters will change depending on the attributes of the selected item. Is there a simple way to pass the one value from the stored procedure to the chart to display? This will be embedded in an asp.net application (vb) - so depending on the previously selected item, the values for the parameters and result will change.
How can i create crystal report from multiple tables that are related.? I need to create a report based on the value provided through selectionformula in visual studio 2005.
I want to export 2 different reports when I click an Export button. The problem is the routine only fires once and I only get one report to print out. Am I doing something wrong? I think it has something to do with the HTTPResponse, but I'm not sure.
Here's my code:
Dim badgeSize As Integer = 0 'Drop Down selection Dim badgeData As New DataSet 'Visitor Badge Data Dim badgeEmployeeData As New DataSet 'Employee Badge Data
I am working on VB.NET(Visual studio 2008)..I completed developing my application and i need to deploy the application. I tried it and faced problems in some areas like adding crystal reports to the setup and deployment. I created a setup file to my application and everything is fine except crystal reports...its showing the error like; An error occurred in crystalDecisions.Reports, crystalEngine threw exception.
I have 2 or more reports and I want to be able to open them in a single report. Let's call it the master report. In this report I want to open several reports, that are independent one to another. I'm using this code to generate the raports:
Dim crDocument As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument Dim cmd As New OleDb.OleDbCommand Dim da As New OleDb.OleDbDataAdapter Dim dt As New DataTable
[code]....
With this code I rewrite the datasource of the raport, and I can filter the query by the 'param' variable in the query. After setting the datasource of the report i can save the raport:
passing multiple values in a parameter field in crystal report viewer, I already set it to allow multiple values. When the code below executed it only displays the last record and not all of the records that appeared. here's my codereally need this one! Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click dt = New DataTable sda = New SqlDataAdapter("SELECT * FROM KEMPMASTER", sqlcon)
I am creating reports in Crystal Reports that is integrated within Visual Studio 2008, and I noticed that some of the features are disabled. One is the ability to link tables with a Right Outer Join or Full Outer Join. I also cannot "Show SQL Query" in Crystal Reports. Is this something I can enable or do I have to purchase or upgrade?
I am preparing crystal reports using vb.net 2008 with ms sql server 2005.everything is showing fine.. except that i want my report to be multiple column... I cant do this using "format multiple column" option because the data is not shown in details section. Actually i need to group the data in data.
e.g: i am preparing a warehouse report to know how much quantity of which products are left, products with 0 (zero) value are not displayed..
I want my reports to be as follows: item1 item_quantity item2 item_quantity item3 item_quantity
I'm using VS 2008 to develop a solution which will report on data mostly contained in SQL Express databases, across two servers. It will be used by up to about 10 XP clients. I am unfamiliar with the Reports Applications. Will I need to buy extra licenses to use a Crystal Reports application? Why are they both included in VS? What is the basic difference between them?
I have a table on my SQL DB call ReportList which is a list of report. I need to go through that list and interrogate the reportserver, eport by report, to populate a table called ReportParameters. The ReportParameters table has a column for ReportOwnerID which needs to contains the ReportID value of the corresponding (owner) report as listed in the ReportList table.
It needs to work so:- I have a listbox of the reports as per REportList and a GridView that list all the parameters (uniquely - most of the parameters are common to many reports) the idea being that the parameters get set once and the report can be kicked off by selecting them in the ReportList CheckListBox and clicking on Execute. I would like it that as I click on a particular report in the ListView, the relevant parameters in the Gridview get a green background and those that do not apply are red. The leftmost column in the gridview contains tha Parameter NAME (not editable) and the next column must be editable to populate the value.
Done so far: I have tried on clicking the Execute button, to build a parameters string in a testbox and call that with the Javascript OpenReportWin() function when I open the report in a new window. This works fine, but my biggest issue it interrogating the reportserver reports to get back a list of parameters and dooping them into a table. I have tried to use a hidden DataGrid bound to a ds onto the reportParamaters table.
I have tried to populate it using a datalist but I cannot get the hang of these thionsg and its looking messy. Their must be a simple clean way of getting the .GetParameters resultset back from the report server and populating the table without having to create a reportviewer object and cycling through the list of reports - it then has to render each report before you can get that list out.
How can I connect to a Crystal Reports 4.6 report that connects to SQL Server 2005 as a data source, using Visual Basic?I don't want to specify the connection string in the report. I want to pass the connection from VB. Is there any way to do this?
I am working on Windows Forms Projects.I am creating a report for customers. The report data is pulled from a "CustomerDetails" table.A field in the table is called "CustPhotoName", this holds a string which relates to an image file.
I Currently have a report set up which runs for a single customer by passing in a customer ID. Then using the passed in ID to populate a Dataset with an ImageRow and then a sub report with the image from the dataset.
I am wanting to set up this report where I can pass in an array of customer IDs and produce the reports (1 page per customer with image (if CustPhotoName has value))
I have created reports using Crystal Reports in my asp.net application(vb). It was fine. But when I run it in another system, the report loading fails. So I modified my code like this.
sub Loadreport() try Dim sreport as new ReportDocument sreport.Load(Server.MapPath("ClientList.rpt"))
[code]....
When the control comes to the line:-
sreport.Load(Server.MapPath("ClientList.rpt"))
it jumps to the catch block showing "Invalid Report path". But initially, the code was not showing any error. I haven't changed the path.
I made a program in VB .net 2008 that has a form in which there is a Crystal Report Viewer object. Here is some code:
[Code]...
1. Some reports show tens and hundreds of thousands or records (they are required to do so, so no work-around is possible), thus the time it takes for the Crystal Report Viewer control to actually show the report is very long. I would like to display like a waiting dialog window WHILE the report is loading its records telling the user to wait for it to load.
2. Another idea would be to show the number of records currently loaded (and continuously updated as the report loads them) from the total number. This is actually shown in my reports when i open them with Crystal Reports 10, but NOT with the Viewer control on the form! How can i make it show this?
Since there doesn't seem to be any way to load old VB6 (ActiveReports) reports in .Net, I need to recreate dozens of reports in .Net. I'd like to do this in the least painful way possible. In VB6, the original authors simply did something like this for every report:
GetAllUsers() returns an SQL string which selects a bunch of fields; those fields are then used in the report. Now:How can I do something similar in .Net (either using the built-in Crystal Reports, or the built-in "Microsoft Reporting Technology")?I can't get "Database Expert" to recognize globalConnectionObject (an ADODB.Connection object); and if I fill a dataset and do
report.SetDataSource(dataSet)
It tells me "The report has no tables."How do I populate a Crystal Reports report!? (the connection string/data location is not known at compile time)
I've recently made the switch from the Data Report to Crystal Reports 10. I've rewritten the reports our software uses and they are working fine in a nominal reports location.I have heard that Crystal Reports can be compiled into a single executable file which can be called through vb.net, rather than loading the report from a location.
I already installed crystal reports in my vb 2010. (i got it from the sap website) but crystal reports won't appear in the toolbar. i could add a new report, but i can't put it in my design form cause just like what i said, there's no crystal reports in the toolbox. i already checked crystal reports in the customize button of toolbar, but still it won't appear.
