Passing Parameters To A Crystal Report?
May 3, 2009i want to populate a crystal report based off a selected phone number, but i'm not sure how to pass the phone number to the report. I've tried the following, but other than that i'm lost:

Report - Subreports Based Off Of One Dataset?
Jan 25, 2011I have an iSeries query in VB.NET/VS 2008 that I need to run with 2 separate values of a same parameter and present in a report for A/B comparison. In other words - I want to see a report where the result of a run with parameter = value1 is on the left, same query with parameter = value2 on the right.My initial idea was to use 2 tables on a report where each table would be based on result of each run from a DataSet (xsd), but I seem to be only able to specify the parameters on the ReportViewer level, which means I have 2 identical tables instead of A/B cases.
Obvious second way was to create 2 separate reports, each with its own parameter value and get them as subreports onto a main one. However, both subreports show up with "Error: Subreport cannot be shown". Is there a way to catch an error to see why?What is the best way (a.k.a. best practices, industry standard, whatever you want to call it) to create this kind of A/B report? I was well sure that there is a well-known method to make this work, but to my surprise I haven't found anything except multiple copies of MSDN articles.

Passing Parameters With VB To Crystal Reports?
Apr 4, 2011I have a situation where I need to programatically pass paramaters using VB through to my crystal report. I am using Visual Studio 2008 for my development.
Everything is working fine, but when I run the report I get a "Value cannot be Null" error. this is in the Crystal Reports Rorm Viewer.

Crystal Reports - Passing Date Range Parameters From Win App
Feb 6, 2012I need to pass date range parameters to a crystal report from a vb.net application, but I don't know how to. I have a crystal report that pulls data from an oracle database. In the database, I have a table of students, and each record has a birth date, name and surname. I need to display on the report only records where the birth date is between date X and date Y inclusive of both. Date X and Date Y are dates passed on the vb.net application when opening the report. I am using crystal reports 9, visual studio 2008 and oracle 9i.

Sep 21, 2009I have a DataSet1.xsd This is connected to my access DB through OleDB. the DataSet Designer is stating that my column in my table is of type Double. Which is true when I verify it by opening Access and viewing that same column in my table.
I need to pass a parameter to my fill query so that on formload it populates the controls. I create the parameter in the dataset designer and give the paramter a name and specify the proper data type.
I edit the query to include the parameter.
on form load the generated code from the dataset designer inserts the fill command for the table adapter but doesn't include the parameter data, so I manually insert the data to be passed to the parameter.. This is where I get an error stating that datatype mismatched..
However the datatypes are correct.

DataSet Not Populating A Crystal Report
Apr 12, 2010I am trying to use a DataSet to retrieve the data necessary to display a Crystal Report. Just before the report is set to load, I have a message box to show the number of rows in the table. As of right now, when the message box comes up it says "3" which is right.
