What is the VB.NET (or C#) code to prepare POST data and send to a different website than specified in the current <form ...> section?
EDIT: Every algorithm I've found online using HttpWebRequest gets the returning page from the other site and outputs it with Response.Write. I want to navigate to the new page posting the data and leaving the current page completely.
EDIT2: (more specific description of what I want)The code below displays a line chart. When the user clicks on the label for a data point, the page refreshes (performs a postback) and displaying the x-value of the clicked point.Instead, upon clicking a label, I want to send other_id="#VALX" as the only POST data to other_results.aspx as if the user had typed the corresponding id into the the TextBox on other_search.aspx and clicked Submit.
I want to be able to send a POST to a website [URL] with login credentials through a web browser control in .NET so I don't have to use a send-key work-around method for logging in.
I'd like to send a POST request to login to a website with my account. For an example, how would I login to this website using HttpWebRequest.. [URL]. It's for an application I'm building for my clan where you have to have an account on the forum to open the application, so if the login works it opens.
1) Add a new record - I can currently add records text to access database, but not images.
2) Get the ID [URL]I'm not sure how to integrate this code into my code. I am stuck here.
3) Save the image in the filesystem using the ID as a filename - I can save the upload an image and save the image to a directory on my computer, but I am unable to name the image that of the ID of the access database.
4) Update the database to put the filename in the record you just created. - I am unable to do this as well (obviously).
Protected Sub SUBMIT_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles SUBMIT.Click Dim custDb As Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection Dim cmdInsertCustomers As Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand
I've looked around at pretty much all the SMS posts here on SO and the best answer I've come up with so far is ZeepMobile. The only problem is, they're "in beta" and aren't readily accepting users. Is there a workaround for this, maybe receiving an email via text (kind of like how TwitPic does it?) somehow and parsing it?
I want to add the ability to post images to facebook or Flickr in my app. Basically, they just browser for the file using an OpenFileDialog to get the path. Then they click an 'Upload to Flickr' or 'Upload to Facebook' option. Unfortunately - i have no idea how to do the upload to facebook/flickr part? How is it done?
There's a certain website I need to access multiple times each day that requires me to enter my login name/password first, every time. To save some time, I copied-and-pasted the HTML source code and pre-populated the text fields with my info, then saved that to my desktop. Now I can just open that doc in my browser and click "submit" without having to type anything.
I want to use webbrower control to upload a image without a user manually pointing to it. I have setup the multipost information, but I need the actually sending the image. How can I accomplish this task? Here is the multipost code I have so far:
Private Sub WebBrowser1_DocumentCompleted(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As WebBrowserDocumentCompletedEventArgs) Handles WebBrowser1.DocumentCompleted Dim boundary As String = "---------------------------" & DateTime.Now.Ticks.ToString("x", NumberFormatInfo.InvariantInfo)
I want to from VBA in Excel click an image in a website that is not the default image.PageForm.submit takes me back instead of to the page I am trying to get to.
Im trying to retrieve images from a website in my app. Im using the HttpWebRequest to get the source of the site, and then I search the string for <img src=" to get the link of the source.
The full tag is : <img src="shopimages/products/normal/WCA356.jpg" alt="12Pc Stripe Over The Knee Socks (Black/Yellow)" style="width:300px; " class="ProductFullImage"/>
Then I do my little code just to get the actual link name... In the end it will be slink = "http://www.wickedwholesale.com/shopimages/products/normal/WCA356.jpg"
If you go to the link, you will see that the image is a full size image... 300 x 716.
I've tried used the following two methods to get the image :
[Code]....
Method 1 works fine, but looks like the image is saved as a thumbnail. About 39 x 94, instead of being 300 x 716.
Method 2 just doesnt seem to be doing anything, even tho lngRetVal is 46161906918752269.
I'm trying to recreate this feature for a twitter control program using VB Studio 2008. I want the users to be able to sign up their account in my application so they don't have to go to the site and do it.
Because captchas are dynamic images, I cannot pull the image from a src file. I'm pretty new to vb.net so, how would I initiate a session, with the webbrowser control or webclient, and be able to display the captcha image for that session on my form.
I have a form with a web browser inside it. When the form loads I want to be able to create a .jpg file of the whole website displayed in the browser. Alternatively, can you show me how to display the web browser site in a picture box?
I need to provide security confirmation image for registering on my website. it should show each time different numbers or letters or combination of them. Any body has suggestions for me? I don't know really how can it be done so please provide me with detailed information.
Changed thread type to QUESTION. I was then able to mark AS ANSWER the relevent post which now also immediately follows this post and so it is easier to find as suggested by forum user j2associates .
<edit> It is also my 3rd post in this thread, the 8th one up, of my posts, from the bottom ( for now ), as the forum format has changed yet again.I will leave the rest of this post( as is ) purely for historical reasons. I have been on these forums long enough to see 3 forum changes. <edit> 19th May, 2010> Link added to a video on the next line of text.
What Im making is like a face book and tagged login from my app

i'm creating a website that allows people to upload images to the website in a folder called images on the Site. But I don't know how to upload a file and I'v searched everywhere Please Note: In this Website were not Using the asp:fileupload, were developing our own interface
What I want is: To scan a website every 15 mins or so, (craigslist in this case), and email myself any new posts that come up. I know I need to use WebClient, but I never used that before. Another question would be how to only email when a new post is up and not receive the same email every 15 mins.
Im trying to create a software which can post into yahoogroups.I've done trying to log in yahoomail but my problem is when I am going to post in yahoogroups, I am turning back in to yahoo log in page.
I have a ASP.NET 2.0 website created in C# that acts as a completely independent site and I am looking to integrate this into an existing ASP.NET 2.0 website created in VB.NET. Unfortunately I just don't know much about the server management side of ASP.NET yet so too much I'm unaware of when it comes to IIS configuration etc. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can go about integrating this? Basically I want to host it in a subdirectory from root so when you hit example.com/myindependantsite/ it will pull up my C# site.
One possible solution I came across mentioned just dropping the project folder into the root directory and setting up that directory as an application virtual directory in IIS? A few other random questions were small things like would my application relative links (~/for-example.aspx) stay relative to my root subdirectory if it's made into an application virtual directory? Just trying to get this running on their site but like I said it's completely independent so want to preserve my websites environment.
