Dec 10, 2011I am making this little tool for this online game i play (league of legends some of you might know it) Basically I made a small program which consists of 4 buttons and when you click button it starts timer and beeps once it reaches 0. Thats fine. Problem is I have to go out of game to click the button to start the countdown.My question is. While the program is running in background is there a way to press the button by assigning specific key on keyboard ? for example if I press F5 it will start the Bluebtn when i press F6 it will start Redbtn while I am in game.

Dec 15, 2009im trying to make a program that only listens to a few keys that the user presses, and if one of them is pressed, it carries out a specified command.for example, right now,i found a keylogger that could carry out my command, but id rather use something else if possible. right now, i have a timer running this:

Then, in the textbox1_textchanged, i search for like if textbox1.text.contains("M") or something.problem with this, is im pretty sure its a keylogger, and i dont want to have to have that. also, it does not work in vista.

I have been trying to do this with the SendKeys but have found that it it presses the key too quickly for the other application to be affected enough to cause much output. I need a way to globally press the key down and key it up over a period of time. If I know the code for pressing a key down and up globally I'll be able to link it up with a timer and work from there assuming the key codes are the same as SendKeys.

Nov 13, 2010In my mini program, I want to make it so that if the user presses the backspace or carriage return key, they call a subroutine. I have already written the subroutine, and have no problems there. I want to make it so that if they press the backspace key, they trigger one sub, and if they press the carriage return key they trigger another. I also want to make it so that the key presses are global, i.e not only counted when they have their cursor in a certain area e.t.c.

Jun 1, 2011in my program i have a timer, and every 5 sec (for example) i send a string by serial.i have to read every key pressed between each 5 sec and send a number that tells me what i am sending.what I've done is to send 1 as long as up key is pressed and send 8 as long as left key is pressed and send 9 as long as both are pressed.when i run my program, the first time i press up and left at the same time and i keep them pressed, the serial send me the first time 9 and then ignores the up key and send me 8 always.and sometimes send me 9 and after that always send me 1 and ignores the left key..the point is that vb ignores the first button i press even if i keep pressing it..what should i do to make vb.net takes two arrows keys at the same time?
