Progress Bar - Stop The (not Responding) Message Being Displayed In The Title Bar?

I have written a very simple Windows Forms App. which copies files from my hard drive to my USB flash drive.The app. works ok, but while it is running (copying files) the title bar displays (not responding).I have an idea this is due to the time it takes to do a large copy.
I have two questions:First, I want to add a progress bar, as a visual indication as to how much is left to copy, but I don't know how write the code required for the progress bar when copying say: C:*.* (including all sub-directories)
Second, to stop the (not responding) message being displayed in the title bar. Would I need to run the copy as a background process? If so, how?

My application reads a table while updating, adding and deletting certain records automatically. Since this process often takes a while (about 2 minutes), the title bar of the application shows the message (Not responding) with the application title. This message disapears when my program finishes and closes the tables.Is there a way to prevent this message from showing? It does not affect the functionality of the programam but I dont want the client to think the program is faulty.

I need to import a text file into a SQL Database.Beside the button import, I have a progress bar on the form The text file has almost 300.000 records and affter some time it appears on the title bar "Not Responding" and progress bar stops updating.I've reading on forun something about Threads and background processes, but I don't want beleave that for a simple progress bar to work it must have such amount of code.simple way of import all those records.

I'm using vs2008 programming in vb.net. I'm currently working on a project that reads miscellaneous text files and imports data into a sql database accordingly (Reads line, imports, loops until finished). There are 75k-150k imports to do. I tested it out the other day before using a progress bar, it takes about 5-10 minutes and works fine.
The issue I have is that while importing, if you click anywhere on the form, it will say not responding and will continue to import, but users using the program might be mistaken and think the program has locked up. I thought a progress bar would solve this, since it is responding back while the imports are going on in the background. However, the progress bar works, but as soon as you click anything on the form, it again says not responding and the progress bar stops moving (the imports will complete however). How can I isolate this import process so it can do this in the background, but will not affect the rest of the program?

I am making a process monitoring program for his game server. Occasionally, the programs stop responding. I've used the if process.responding then process.kill la de da, but its not working right. Is there a debugging tool out there i could use to intentionally make a program stop responding?

I am using Visual Studio 2005 for coding. I am doing an exercise where I have to create a data lookup program. The program is to illustrate the concepts of using a database to look up information based on user input. The program allows a user to input two search criteria for a product search. The program then displays each individual search result, or record that meets the search criteria in a message box. I am not getting the message box and I don't know why. No errors are present during compiling so I have no indication as to where the problem is.

I am using VS2010 RC and .NET 4.I have a progress bar control on a form. It works fine, and it shows the value of the bar in the proper position. But, I would like to disable the white "sparkle" that repeatedly moves then length of the bar. also, the value part of the progress bar is Green. Is there any way to change to another color?

How can I assign a value to a message box for when the default value displayed in the text box is unchanged. ie. If my default value is 17 and the user clicks ok without retyping a number, the Input value displayed in a textbox will be 0.
Currently I have:

i have made program and would like a progress bar to start at the start of the script and stop at the end of the script.
I was thinking of using a timer and haver timer.start at the beginning of the script and timer.stop at the end for the progress bar but timers use time :/

when the message box appears after enter is seleted, is there a way to:
- put a title on the message box?
- make the font size larger?
- change the background color?
- make the box itself larger than the longest text imput?
- have the ability to copy to clipboard what is in the message box so it can be pasted somewhere else?

i have 2 forms , in the form1 i have some data excecuting ,before enters to the process am loading form2 which has a label that am sending the text i want to display ,and a picture box with gif animator picture.At the end of the process of form1 which has finished the exceting data then am closing waitingMessage box. Here is my main problem. am succesfully display the form but the gif animator is not spining ,and the text in the form and the gif animator is like a white box and no visualy displayed.I got some time on the internet to research it and most propably the problem is mostly seems to be the threads ,but i dont know how to correctly configure it,
PS . i dont want to use the data excecution in the form2 ,becuase if i doit like this ,then when ever i want to display a waiting msg for any other process i will need to implement onother form.i would like to keep it universal and calling it when ever i want and close it as my data excecutes.form1 has some proceess to do. e.g

I have wrote a program that do a bit of calculations that takes about 10 min to complete, therefore I need to show a progress to user. I used a percentage in status bar to show the current status of program.
The problem is for updating the number after each iteration I use me.refresh to show the percentage. BUT whenever the program lose the focus for example working on other stuffs, the program cannot update the percentage anymore. And above the form shows not responding but do the job until get the result.

I believe I have found a solution! I will be continuing testing to make sure it DOES in fact work, but I'm hopeful :) I have detailed how I found the solution in EDIT THREE of the question.

Quick Background:
I have this app I have made that can be crashed by changing my screen saver or locking my work station, and in general whenever a WM_WININICHANGE/WM_SETTINGSCHANGE message is sent to it.
If I can consistently crash my app by changing my screensaver, then SOME part of doing that is sending my app SOME kind of message (not necessarily a windows message, I mean message in the most general sense), which in turn is catastrophic to my application. Due to this, I am trying to find a way to block whatever message is causing my problem from being processed by my application. I am aware this isn't the best way to go about a solution, so you don't need to tell me. Look at the backgroung info or ask why if that bothers you (there is a good reason).

I have a problem in timers, I want to display 2 forms each one after 3 and 5, how to do that? I mean when the first form appears, after 3 seconds another one will appear, then after 5 seconds the second will appear. I have a code where someone gave me here but its for message box only, thus I modify it to put a form still does not work. Here the code I put in the timer below:

All I want is when the message box stops, then it display the first form then stop to display the second then stop to display the last. The first form must stay for 3 seconds on the screen, then after 3 seconds the second appears then after 5 seconds the last appears.

When a user clicks the + button on the binding navigator, I want to set the displayed item of acombobox to the value displayed in a label. The combobox is bound to a field in the table. Theproblemis that when the user clicks to add a new record the combobox is cleared and they forget to select a value before they click save.
