Retrieve Data From Textfile(.txt) And Save It Into Access Database?

I am looking for ways to retrieve data from textfile and save it into access database. Currently, I am doing a attendance record project. I need to save the attendance record which is given in a text file to the database. The version of VB i using is VB 2008.
The content of the text file look like this:
E010,2009/06,06/29/2009 7:44:45AM,06/29/2009 15:00:55PM,JUR
E022,2009/06,06/29/2009 7:44:45AM,06/29/2009 15:00:55PM,JUR

i am a new user of visual studio 2008i make a database program, but i cant save the image in access data base, i also want that image save a copy file in database.
I'd like to export a table from Access to a text file (or a spreadsheet) using VB code in Excel 02. I'm using the transfertext command but my code runs through without actually doing anything or throwing up any errors. If I swap the code round and change Export to Import and move the data into the text file manually then the code will happily import the table into Access.

How can I save a date data type from vb.net to access that access have date/time in its data type and how can I retrieve it? I also want to use datediff to auto calculate the age to be shown in a textbox.

I can save my data to access database and in the access database field I set it to date/time.But problem is when I get the value out from the database.. the format is always month/day/year hour:minutes:seconds example today: 5/2/2011 12:00:00..How to get the value into listview becoming May/2/2011 without the hour..Here's my code to get it from database ListView1.Items(i).SubItems.Add(dt.Rows(i)(14).ToString).The second problem is.When I would like to edit, how can the datetimepicker get the listview value ? I have an access databse, but the data is link to excel, so i cant changes the data inside access database. However, i just want to retrieve the data inside the access database using VB datagridview, but the system pop out an error said 'cannot find the input table or query'Is it because the data is link with excel, so access databse cannot direct take the data? If you have to store and retrieve data from a database is a string not the most effcient way? What is best?
How does this work in a real world scenario.
For example: I have a customer ie first name and last name and the CustomerID is autoincremented when initially added to the database. Now, the user could lookup and find the customer by their ID but we all know that's not practical. They don't know 231223 is John Adams, they know John Adams or Adams John.
So how do you handle this? Access is the database I am using but I think this would apply to any database.
how to retrieve image from access database?.. I've just finish retrieving data to the datagrid view. I want to retrieve also the image (also stored in the database as path inside the table where the data stored) in the picturebox. When i clicked the specific data in datagrid view, it will show preferred image to picturebox.

I've made a browser project and beyond making it a default browser, I am having a problem with the Favorites feature TreeView control saving, loading and repopulating it with the users data. It's tough finding the correct code as there are so many variations of this control in various languages, but I did find sample code for loading and populating the TreeView with a text file using tabs to signify the node structure in VB.Net. (Most others I have found are VB6 or some other variation.)

I have a VB 2010 program with a single-table Access Database.I have selected the option to copy the Access Database to the output directory.When doing so, the program copies the original database to the inDebug folder.I want the original (NOT the copy) to be modified when the program is being tested.Also, when I attempted to publish the program and run it to test, I got an error which was sourced to be a temporary file (which was the database) that was missing.I think this is a reaction from the "Copy Always" option.
I'm currently attempting to save data inputed into a data grid clicking the "save" button. My problem is, I also have another DB opened in the same window that also needs to be saved. I try to run the update command it always throws the exception "Cannot find table 0" or "Update unable to find TableMapping['Table'] or DataTable 'Table'." I tried declaring the connection the same way as the code above and then simply calling the da.update(ds) but it wouldn't do anything.
I got a question. I have a textfile name membership.txt and using vb2008. However my code found error when try to grab the data to an array. I use delimiter "|" to separate between each data in line to save in specific column in database.
