Exchange Public Folders - ASP.NET Dream.In.Code?

Mar 16, 2010

I have an internal ASP.NET / VB.NET CRM page that I would like to build additional functionality into.Currently we still use "Public Folders" in Exchange to store contact information for our clients.

What I would like to do is be able to connect to the Public Folders on Exchange through VB.Net in order to add new contacts or edit current ones.I would prefer to NOT have Outlook installed on the web server - (I say this because I tried working with Excel using COM and it was crap - ended up using Gembox.spreadsheet for all of my Excel needs).

Access Web Server Folder For Images?

Dec 22, 2011

I have a Windows 2008 IIS web server that runs an online application. The applications runs on a local SQL database. Images, however, are not stored in the database. The images are stored in a separate folder on the web server. When I run the application on the local LAN, I just use a standard UNC path to access the folder with the images. I want to start running my application over the internet. I can't use UNC paths over the internet.

how can I access this shared folder with my VB.NET program over the internet?

Access An MDB File In A Windows 2003 Server Folder That Has Password?

Jan 11, 2010

I have programs written in VB2005 accessing mdb database in server. When the server run XP, it was never a problem (at the time, the folder was shared to all). There is a new rule in the company and we have Win 2003 server, and my mdb file must be stored in a folder in the server that the administrator (not I) have installed password. And clients are supposed to access it as user only. I can ask password as administrator, but the users of my program must not have the administrator password (which I can included in my program if necessary). How can I modify my program so that it can access the database? I assume I must modify my connection string, but I do not know how. I am currently using this:

"Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source= C:Integrity ERPPBF.mdb;Jet OLEDB:Database Password=ABC"

Exchange Email Reply Between Set Time Every Day

Jan 26, 2011

I have to set our support email to send an out of office reply between 6pm and 8am every day and then for the entire weekend. I come to find out exchange does not support this. Is it possible to write a "service" that I can load up on a machine that monitor the support email then send an auto reply if it is between 6pm and 8am? Basically it would just be a lite weight email client that only does anything outside of business hours.
