Return Primary Email Address Associated With Logged On User's Current Outlook Profile?

I know, it's a bit weird asking for a query to tell me my own email address right, I'll explain further...
I'm writing a COM add-in for Outlook 2007. One of the subs generates and sends an email to a particular address and this all works fine.However I have a need to have an option for the sender to be able to include themselves on the recipients list.As more than one person will be running this I cannot just set the sender's email address manually and would prefer to just add a check box on the form to enable this feature.
The only bit I'm stuck on is working out how to find the email address of the person sending the email. I could do it with an AD query against the logged on user but this needs to work for non-domain users also so need another method.

What I would like to do is create a command button that launches an email from outlook attaching the current word document to a set email address. I'm not fussed if the word document is saved or not as it is only the email receipent that needs it, likewise I don't mind if the code instructs the email to send of just opens it ready to be sent.I have read through loads of forums and tried loads of codes but cannot get any to work.

Is there a 'simple' way to determine the current user's email address ? I want to automatically send an email when an application detects an unhandled exception, but would like it to come from the current user.I found this on the net and haven't yet worked out what its doing (although it seems to work). Unfortunately, as I'm not sure how it works, I also don't know what drawbacks there are to this technique.[code]...

I've been searching for a while, but it seems that I can't find an easy way to get the current user profile folder. I've tried "%userprofile%" environment variable, but it didn't worked (or I'm doing something wrong).How can I do it? I want to add the value to an string variable.
I actually tried something like: Dim Userfolder As String = %UserProfile%
I tried with quote marks too, but none seems to do the trick.What I'm missing?

I am trying to output the email address of the current user through an Outlook addon. I haven't been able to get any other examples to work. The closest I have come is:
emailitem.SenderEmailAddress
which outputs:
Smith, John
but I want:
JohnSmith@hotmail.com

I have a vb.net 2008 form that sends and email along with an attachment.
I want to offer up a list of available email address to choose so my user doesn't make a typo.
Problem is the email addresses are not part of any GAL / group because they are from outside the company. However if my user begins to type the email address such as xyz outlook begins to make suggestions such as [email]xyz@anothercompany.com[/email]; [email]xyz@noinagroup.com[/email] because my user has either sent them an email in the past or recieved one. I wanted to display my current logged user data in my aspx web page.But I am unable to do so. I just can't understand how to call the necessary data. I have used Grid view but I cannot find a query that will give me the details of the current logged user.
Code:
HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name
but it gives me an error saying "property access must assign to the property or use its value". I don't know how to tackle this.

I have to make a basic program that: Create a program with a simple interface that
1. Asks the user type his/her email address into a textbox.
2. When the user clicks the "Evaluate Email Address" button, one of two message boxes pops up: "That is a valid email address!" with an "Information" icon, or "That is an invalid email address!" and on a second line, "Please retype your email address.", with an "Exclamation" icon
3. To be considered valid, the email address must -include an "@" symbol, and -it must end in either ".com", ".net", or ".org" or ".edu" (I don't know how to check a string and test if its last four characters end with any of these and make it say not valid email address. I think I might have to use a case statement)

Background: I have a webForm app that registers a user in the database based on the information provided with a web service, auto-generates a random password and username, and e-mails the user a link to take an application based on the marketing company selected.
Question: How do I populate the MarketerName_TextBox field with the currently logged in users name (Is it User.Identity.Name and do I add that line on aspx.vb end or the aspx end?)

2003I've implemented Forms Authentication on one particular subfolder on one of my sites. My code works perfectly on my development machine, but there is a slight problem on the live server.If you browse to the admin subfolder, if you are not authenticated, you will be redirected to the login page. The Master Page footer also contains a link to the login page; when the user logs in, that link is supposed to change to a link to the admin page:

I work for a somewhat large company.There are about 160 Windows XP Pro users. We are still using Microsoft Office 2000 for the most part.We have upgraded some users to Office 2003. We are not using Microsoft Exchange.I have to export every users' Outlook 2000 or Outlook 2003 Contacts into an Excel or CSV file every 6 months as a way of backing the Outlook Address Contacts.Currently I am doing this by physically going to every pc and manually exporting the contacts.This is a large pain.I am trying to find out if I can use or create a Visual Basic 2008 Express program or script that will export the contacts from Outlook and save it as an Excel or CSV file.The name of the file should be the same as the computers net name.It should be saved in the same location, on the network, each time.I am new to programming and new to VB 2008 Express.I do not know or have any code to start with.

I am sending an email with an attachment using the following Code

The file size of the attachment is 396KB, upon the recipient receiving the email outlook shows the file size as 543Kb. Strange thing is if I send an email with the same attachment using outlook the file size is 396Kb.I understand that file sizes can increase due to the attachment being base 64 encoded as opposed to just raw binary.What I am failing to see is why outlook send a file which is 396KB in size but in code when sending it, the same file is 543Kb.

I am having an issue with my program that I hope you can help with. I have integrated my program to work with Outlook and I have installed the 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies on the client computer and it works fine (i.e. opens Outlook Email and attaches a file from my program). Well, we have many computers here that run Office 2007, so I installed the 2007 PIA on their computer and it doesnt work. It doesnt tell you anything in the error when the update download fails, just "You need to contact your system administrator". Is there anything else I need to do to get it to work with computers running Office 2007 - any references I need to add, or properties needing changed?
I know the isnt any issue with the server, connectivity, or anything like that because it works just fine on computers without Office 2007.

I am using NLog for the first time, i figured out how to write to a text file, but now i want to send an email to myself. am making the assumption that when you supply SMTP credentials to NLog. The assembly calls the System.Net.Mail namespace and handles sending an email.

I'm running an application under an account that is not the account logged-on to the PC.
Within the application I need check if the logged-on user is a member of the Administrators group. Below is the code I'm using. From what I've read, WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent() should return an object associated with the logged-on user. It doesn't, it returns the same information as the call to System.Threading.Thread.CurrentPrincipal. Which is the information associated to the ID running the application, not the logged-on user.
