I've researched a lot but can't find a solution. I have text in a RichTextBox with RTF format (with an image) that I need to send by email (all in VB.NET 2005)
The code to send email has:

I have an Emailer in my Application and it has a richtextbox which the user can add fancy colours, font, pics etc... but when I send the email it doesn't send it as HTML. Is there a property in the richtextbox that lets me access the HTML code so that the email is sent as HTML and not just plain text. I need to be sending the emails as it appears in the richtextbox.
I am using the following code

And I get the following email Without HTML. Please look at the Emailer to see that it is formatted. So I need to send the content of the Emailer as HTML via outlook.

The file size of the attachment is 396KB, upon the recipient receiving the email outlook shows the file size as 543Kb. Strange thing is if I send an email with the same attachment using outlook the file size is 396Kb.I understand that file sizes can increase due to the attachment being base 64 encoded as opposed to just raw binary.What I am failing to see is why outlook send a file which is 396KB in size but in code when sending it, the same file is 543Kb.
how would i implement a way that i would not hard code the email message that the application send to email recipients? how will i also include email message formatting (text in bold, italic, etc.)?

Is the problem that I need to show "credentials" (i.e. user/pass)? If so, what would those credentials be? Can I use my yahoo email SMTP server with my login info to do it? And is this all I'd need to add to add the credentials?

My goal is to create an email in my application and send using outlook. I have used robdogs tutorial to create the outlook message which works great. The problem I am having is taking the text with all of the formatting from my richtextbox and putting it into the email body while maintaining the formatting and such.I have tried using some textranges to get the text but I can't seem to pull the formatting. View 1 RepliesI wrote a program that runs on a timer and pings the computers on the network, if any of them go offline it emails me. The problem is the timer runs every 20 seconds and if a computer is rebooted I get email 15 - 20 times until it comes back online.
Is there a way for it to only email me once every 20 minutes or so? Or to only email me if a different computer goes offline, then I don't keep getting the same email.
