Jan 28, 2012I have to deploy my VB.NET application developed in VB.NET and Visual Studio 2005. The customer is using SQL Server 2008, while the application is being built against SQL Server 2000.I received the following error against SQL Server 2008:An explicit value for identity column in 'Outgoing_Invoice' table can only be specified when column list is used and Identity Insert is ON.Here is my query for inserting data in two tables:

I'm having trouble figuring out where to declare that timeout duration. What object and property should I be setting the timeout duration for the statement execution, not the connection timeout. On the SQLCommand object there is a convenient CommandTimeout property but I'm not seeing anything like that here.

Connect As A Client To The Server Using The Command Line?
Jun 25, 2010I am trying to open a socket server, I have the code below but my problem is that when I try to connect as a client to the server using the command line (telnet ip port), i only get to type 1 letter and that's it, i can't do anything else, how can I make it so that the client can send anything until they hit or type EXIT?

The primary keys for all the tables are automatically generated by identites. The first 2 insert statements (Donation and Food_Donation) work but I can't get the last insert into Donation_Details to work. Here's the code so far:
